I wish I had read the reviews before I went here. all the reviews are correct. these people will rip you off and run off with your money. They have had my camera over 6 months. constant lies. my parts are being ordered from their suppliers "over seas". meanwhile they had no problem charging me over $800 to repair it the day I received my "free estimate" the owner "James" is a condescending a$$ who thinks just because he's a man that he can talk down to women. he clearly didn't know that I am an attorney. the other man "Max" is a senile old bat who doesn't know how to do anything except s***** you in to getting your money. there's a few girls in there who answer phones and they seemed nice and actually listened to me when I called in yelling. I know it's not their fault but I'm just so frustrated and want me hard earned money back!! i hope this review does its job and convinces you NOT to take your cameras in to these scammers!!! trust me and all the other reviews on the site. Stay as far away as you can from these a$$holes!!!!

This place is a joke , I brought my camera in over a year and 15 days ago , still not repaired I spoke to the owner James personally and I'll I get is I will call you back and I've heard nothing several of the employees have been nice especially the nice girl who works there who's been trying her best to get the problem solved ...: please stay away at all cost if you'd like your camera repaired in a timely matter!

Doesn't have a great selection of used cameras but there are some obscure, older cameras and lenses available. Would be good if they were purchasing or doing consignment like some of the other stores in the area. Film and lab services are very expensive and not competitive at all with some of the other local shops.

Yup, just like the other reviews; STAY AWAY from this shop! They will rip you off. I brought in my dslr for a diagnostic on why my newly serviced lens (from them; bad idea) wasn't focusing right. The guy, James, looked at it and told me I wasn't holding the down the shutter button long enough (I've never had this problem before, ever) and that he couldn't diagnose anything unless "he sees there is a something wrong" ??? The way he was telling me to use the camera took way too long to take a picture so I knew something wasn't right. Brought into another camera shop and with one look they told me the camera body was a little slower than the lens... why couldn't this place tell me that?? International wanted to charge me too look at it although it was something you could clearly tell by just changing the speed settings. He also told me my X-700 was "not operable" and wanted to charge me $300+ even though I put a battery in it right before I took it here and it fired right up, light meter and all. The other camera shop told me nothing was wrong it. They don't do repairs "in house" like they state (you can clearly see the shop isn't set up for repairs) so the prices are inflated than normal because they probably give it to someone at their own house to fix it. Unprofessional. I should have read the reviews before I went here. Trust me, this place is an absolute joke.

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS.Filed a formal complaint with the better business bureau a few months ago and they STILL haven’t refunded me. We are having to get lawyers involved and it’s just so not worth the complications they are making it. Seriously, stay away from here.

This place is a joke. Cory is the female who works there. I left my camera there for repair. The next day, Corry called and gave me an estimate and assured me it would be a genuine part and she herself would do the repair. The charge had to be made up front to get the process going. When weeks went by w/o hearing back, I called. I was told the part was ordered. I asked why I wasn't told sooner and Cory said the tech servicing the camera did not advise they had the wrong part until a day earlier (I guess she wasn't the one doing the repair.) I called again a few weeks later and was told the part had not arrived yet. I went to pick up my camera and Cory said only "James Berbarian" could do the refund with a bankers check. I asked how much the "diagnosis and handling charge" would be but she said she did not know. I asked to see the parts order form but she said she did not have it because James does all the ordering. I got James' email and sent email to him because he is supposedly out of country in Germany. Nikon has removed all authorized service repair locations as of March 2020. Nikon will not sell parts to anyone. The only service locations are in Los Angeles and New York. Stay away from this place! So far, I've been ripped off over $300. Too bad there isn't a negative star for this place.

They'll rip you off. Straight up. I should have listened to the other two reviews instead of wasting my time. I shoot 35mm film a lot and had a camera with a faulty on board light meter and wanted it fixed. My usual repair shop is about an hour towards LA so I thought I'd save a trip and use this place because it was closer. They said they didn't know what was wrong with the camera, but that they would charge me $230 to fix it (if they even could). The camera isn't even worth that much, so I of course left and decided to take it to my usual shop instead. My usual shop instantly identified the problem and charged me $80 to not only fix it, but also to perform a full CLA. Insane. Just avoid this place. Also on a side note, they're super unprofessional. They couldn't get a single sentence out without cussing, I felt like I was in a highschool locker room, lol

I then called on day 11 (this was a Monday after the weekend which the shop is closed so it's closer to 3 weeks that they've had my camera) looking for some sort of update. Again was told there was no update, camera was with technician. Day 14 rolls around and again, no calls or texts no emails. I call and nobody answers so I sent a text message. They respond via text message and said that I need to call them...... When I call them (which I've had to be the one to do this entire process. They did not reached out a single time to update me on the camera) they now tell me that my camera is "damaged beyond repair and cannot be fixed but they can send it to a second technician that can quote me" At this point I am so frustrated with their unprofessionalism and lack of communication AND NOW they are telling me my camera that was working before I dropped it off is beyond repair???? There has been no clarification what exactly this mean...is the camera no longer taking pictures or is it just the screen that is beyond repair? I asked this and was told "it is beyond our repair" which again is very vague and unclear. When I asked to contact the owner the girls at the shop wouldn't give me any information and told me he was unreachable because he lives out of the country. We now have to get a lawyer involved and possibly go to small claims court....it's just a mess and didn't have to be. I would just avoid this place. They are so unprofessional and disrespectful and I regret leaving my camera with them.

Beware. Read this. Plan and simple. They tried to rip me off. This has nothing to do with covid. I work in Tech. I would say i know my way around certain cameras and gear. I sent my battery grip to them. Which i knew only needed contact pins to be replaced. I was expecting 50 bucks.. easy, im okay with paying that instead of buying parts and doing it myself. Take mind i baby my gear. This battery grip is nearly perfect, beside my one drop that damaged the pins. Anyways, I give them my battery grip. In two days i get a call. The guy says its going to be $230 to repair it! Mine as well just buy a new one.. But he did not like i said that.. They yelled, gave excuse after excuse why its this much. Said, the electrical board is fried.. the buttons are broken.. the screws (that came from manufacturer) are wrong and not for this product. And etc.. He told me that this product was a goner but he and his super powers can bring it back to life. Arguing and yelling when i calmly asked "how did these things break? I took it apart myself before giving it to you, everything looked fine, I know tech. I work with it everyday, looked perfect but the pins" And again he went off.. Needless to say, i went back down the the shop. Tried to just pick up my stuff and go.. but he was pissed and made sure i had it before he even let me touch MY Property. By the way. I bought spare pins off Amazon for $12. Replaced it. And now guess what. IT WORKS PERFECTLY.. please beware of this camera Repair shop.. The other customer service ladies were very nice though.
