i came here with my friend and the lady and her man were just staring us down and didn’t even ask if we needed help i could understand why they do that due to people stealing but come on now maybe you should just get better cameras or something instead of just staring at people uncomfortably ? also a lot of the stuff there is being resold for a ridiculous price

My four friends and I (black and hispanic) walked in to find outfits for my birthday. The store owners stared us down the entire time we were in the store and gave us weird looks when we tried to be polite and greet them. We didn't end up buying anything because everything was either too small or too expensive or both -- on top of the uncomfortable feeling of being profiled in the store.

The staff is rude. They follow you around & watch you. They make it feel like they're waiting for you to steal especially if you're a person of color.

If I could give zero stars I would. I went in with my service dog and they immediately said that we couldn't be in there because of him. I then told them that it was a service dog and they didn't say anything. When I tried to go into on of the smaller rooms they yelled at me that he couldn't be in there but I told them that he could because it wasn't a sterile environment. The lady then tried to lie and say well I'm allergic and I told her that she needs to know the ADA and that she needs to accommodate both of us. Her husband just stood there and kept saying no. So definitely don't ever come here because they discriminate and are super rude about learning the law.

First, the woman who works there (maybe the owner) followed my husband and me around like we're a pair of thieves. Then, when I asked to try on an outfit, she wouldn't let me! I honestly don't know how they stay in business. I certainly won't be back.

This place is over-priced on their Pleaser shoes! The Pleaser website sells the shoes at a much lower rate then this place Romance. Also on Pleaser website you get better style and design for your money. The lady at Romance has basic $60 shoes costing $100 plus tax at her store. I don't recommend her store unless you have no other option (i had no other option at the time). If you have no other option, be prepared to spend between $75-$100 bucks on a simple plain colored shoe, no designs. The shoes also broke after one day of wearing them. They cost me $85

the owner legit hates her customers. thought the lady was having a bad day or something the first time i came. The second time I walked out. she doesn't even LOOK at you when you walk in and don't bother trying to get any help without her yelling or giving you attitude for no reason. Go to romance boutiques on central or even funky pair in OC. amazing customer service at those locations and you actually feel welcomed!

You know those restaurants that have a theme where the servers are rude and callous on purpose? That's this place except I don't think it's purposeful. It's been a very long time since I've walked into a place and instantly wanted to walk out. The vibes I get from the shop runners: racist, fatphobic, sexist, and just generally miserable. I think the people working are in their personal hell and they don't like visitors reminding them of it. It's weird af.
