On Friday Dec. 1st I stopped to look for and buy lithium batteries. Could not find AA lithium on the kiosk so I asked a male cashier who was standing around outside of his work station and his replay to me was "if you don't see it we don't have it" and walked away! I was totally caught off guard by his rudeness, as I was leaving and passing the work station next to his station, Cashier Olay asked if I found every thing ok and i explained my situation which she said " yes we have them " and took me to the kiosk grabbed the lithium batteries and apologized for her coworkers rudeness !!!! Now that's what I call 5 Star Service form a great Home Depot employee. Thank You Cashier Olay Don R.

So, let's keep this limited to professionalism and customer service. If you are looking for that, this isn't the place. If you're looking for a very unprofessional store manager, you've found your place. Her name is Noemi C. and she told us she was the store manager so I'm accepting that to be true. If you're looking for employees who automatically assume you're not being honest, maybe tainted by the world of retail, you've found your place. My husband, who went in for a specific paint color we found on the website, showed them the text I sent him with the color and came home with a different color. He only went for what I showed him so he wasn't sure before he left the store that it was the color I wanted. It was not. We went back together the NEXT day so I can be sure we get the correct color and went straight to customer service. Told the young man what happened and he said "we can only exchange or fix" (his exact words). Went to paint department and proceeded to be harassed by the paint employee about why we didn't check the paint before we left and "This is what you asked for. We don't exchange paint." Explained what happened again and told her customer service told us we can "exchange or fix". She apparently didn't believe us so she stomped away and disappeared for a while only to come back and provide us the color we wanted. My husband left the old can there and took the new can and we proceeded to go check out at Pro Desk (because we are also construction professionals who go to Home Depot regularly) to purchase the other item we had (stain for our doors). The cashier saw the can of paint and we explained that it was an exchange so that she would not charge us. Store manager (didn't know who she was at that point) approaches and proceeds to harass us about that paint and "who said we would exchange it?" Explained again what happened and she repeats "we don't exchange paint". Told her what customer service told us and she said "you should have taken it back to customer service and not left it there" and, again "we don't exchange paint." My husband gestured toward customer service explaining again that we went there first and that's what we were told to do. She takes the paint and follows us to customer service, again not believing we were told this and desperate to prove us wrong. When we were proven to be telling the truth she became further annoyed and started on a rant of "I will make an exception this time but...we don't exchange paint." I tried to ask her what the issue was since she was being so unprofessional and loud and treating us like thieves. She refused to look at me and kept repeating that she'd make an exception, again never looking at me and talking to her employees as though we weren't there. She then spits out to my husband "you also came in yesterday and exchanged 5 gallons of mixed paint..." I looked at my husband because I knew he was there yesterday only to buy me the paint I wanted and had no paint to exchange so I was confused. I asked her to repeat that. She never looked at me and again continued talking as though I didn't exist. I repeated my question then asked her to prove to me that my husband returned said paint. Ignored me. Followed her and continued to ask several times and she acted as if I wasn't there, never acknowledging me or my question. I then asked for the store manager and she advised us she is the manager. Asked for her name and she provided it then asked for the district manager's name. She ignored me and the other employee I asked said "we don't provide that." We got on our way and I called Home Depot corporate office and gave them the full rundown. They gave me a case number and assured me this would get to the district manager and other levels of management. I will be calling back to ask if it has made it to them. Worse service, they sold me items that they don't even have, apparently no one in gardening can locate their own pallets, even though they said they had 900 items of what I wanted. Not sure who's over seen the garden section but they are not qualified. They made me waste my time and two trips for nothing. Also, don't go Saturday evening because for some reason there's no one there to help you because they all call out.

I think I found the employee of the month at the Upland Home Depot on 19th and his name is Steve. I want to recognize Steve in the electrical department at the Home Depot on 19th. Steve was able to understand what I needed before I could really explain the situation to him, he made sure I got all the parts and answered all my questions. He was so patient and helpful. I knew next to nothing about the electrical parts I needed and he helped me get all the parts together and how they will all work together. I really feel confident that I have everything I need to get the job done and won't have to stop my project in the middle and make another run to HD.I wanted to make sure I wrote this up so I started as soon as I got home. Steve helped me around 10:30am on 7/24/23.

On 10/06/22 at approx 1720 hours, I went to the Home Depot in North upland CA. I wanted to get a new door for my house. I go to the door section to get a door. I found the one I wanted but the door was dented. I saw there was another door but it was on the elevated shelve. So I go to the guy on his phone sitting at the desk in the Door / Window section. I asked him if he could please get a door down for us. He's exact answer was "What do you want me to do about it? In a loud irritated voice. He said it in a way I stood quiet and I was literally getting mad about to yell back at him. Then he said "that was pretty good huh"? WTH is this! This how employees treat customers. I just wanted my door. He then realized I think what he did and got up and I showed him the door. He then said ok we'll go that way so I can get it. I have never ever been treated like this before in any store in my life. What is this! It was a older male who if really large in stature. I don't want to ever get my doors and windows here. This man is beyond rude. I will never ever get doors here. I been shopping here forever and always had a good experience. But if this guy is having a bad day don't take it out on me. The only reason I got this door still is because lowes in another 20 mins away.

Went in today to get some lumber. Employee said he was too busy to help. The department was such a mess nothing was in its place. Home Depot needs to get a handle on their merchandising and inventory. Heading to Lowes.

Came to the Upland (19th St.) store to buy power tools. Went to the tool aisle and found what I needed. Behind a locked cage. I looked for a orange vest to help me, none to be found. So, I go to the person staffing the self checkout. When I asked her to page someone to help me, she acted like I was ruining her day watching people check themselves out. She sends her page and I go back to wait. And wait. And wait. After 15 minutes, I return to the same person staffing the self the checkout. When I say "excuse me" to her, she turns around and angrily says "what!" and then turns away. Wow... So, I go to the front return desk and ask for a manager. The person pages a manager. I wait another 10 minutes with no manager or other person in charge showing up. Unbelievably horrible customer service.

I went to Home Depot on July 2nd in need of better protection on my apartment front door to feel safer and fend off unwanted visitors. I met Jonathan who helped me find a door blocker for my front door; he mentioned that the Upland Police recommended these. Jonathan was very nice and very informative. He mentioned that he worked in the Paint Department for years and was transferred to the Hardware Department. Jonathan was patient and had excellent customer service skills. If you need help in the hardware department, ask for Jonathan!! Thank you for your help that day!!

Home depot delivered 1 wrong gravel bag out of 5. Contacted customer service via chat and assiciate told me that he/she scheduled the swap on the same day. The driver came without calling and took the gravel bag that was sent mistakenly but did not leave the replacement!!!!! Contacted customer service again and he/she said that the replacement was set up for a pick up. WTF. Such a poor customer service!!!!!

Absolutely awful store. Ordered patio doors in December and its July.... No screen doors still. They have lost them 2x and can't give me answers on when we can expect them.....totally horrible. wont ever purchase anything ever from HD.

This is my favorite Home Depot I have ever set foot in. Home Depot on 19th I highly recommend, it's clean very clean, organized, and great staff willing to help you! They don't point at the product that take you to it! Ask for Manager Mikey he's wonderful! If your in garden ask for Christine ! Green thumb ;) I only go to this Home Depot and every time it's a great experience!
