About Menagerie Hill Ranch
Menagerie Hill Ranch is a family-run farm that specializes in raising alpacas for their fiber and breeding. The farm is not a petting zoo, but visitors can enjoy educational ranch tours and shop at the farm store, which offers a variety of alpaca fiber products, yarn, clothing, and handmade crafts. Tours are available by appointment only, and visitors are advised to schedule ahead as the owners are not always on site. The ranch is known for its friendly and knowledgeable staff who share their expertise about alpacas with enthusiasm and care. Guests often experience close interactions with the alpacas, including feeding and petting them, which is especially popular during special events like the National Alpaca Day weekend. Visitors have described the alpacas as sweet, adorable, and fascinating, with some being more social than others, similar to cats. Even in rainy weather, staff are accommodating, sometimes bringing alpacas under shelter so visitors can still enjoy close-up encounters. The ranch also features a "maternity" enclosure where guests can meet baby alpacas and their mothers. The farm’s dedication to the well-being of the animals and sustainable practices is evident. The high-quality alpaca products and socks sold at the store are popular among visitors. Overall, Menagerie Hill Ranch offers a unique, educational, and memorable experience for animal lovers and families alike, providing a chance to learn about and connect with beautiful alpacas in a welcoming environment.

Host was great! She fully explained what to expect and did everything from wrangling up the alpacas as well as letting us take photos with my pregnant wife. I have no complaints. They also had a cute little store full of alpaca fleece made items. If you like giant cat like animals this is your place.
