I had a terrible experience with Rash and Curtis as a debt collection agency. Their communication was abysmal; they only sent one mail to you but that’s it they expect you to call them, and they don’t want to keep in contact with you. No email, no phone call nothing. I'm trying my best to pay this stupid debt that wasn't even supposed to be a debt but the hospital billed me months ago I gave them the medical card assuming I had them as a primary but Wasn't so I got a surprised bill. Anyway, this whole thing is stressful.

The most reprehensible and evil of all companies. They did not inform me of my legal rights within the State of California in regards to debt collection and statute of limitations, and they did not attempt to collect until many years after my hospital visit (conveniently accruing tons of interest). No written notice, only constant aggressive phone calls laden with threats of ruin to my credit score. They did not uphold their promise to remove the negative mark from my credit report, it took filing a complaint with Experian in order to remove it (even though I got in writing a promise to remove the mark). Don’t make my mistake, NEVER give in to the treats of Rash Curtis or any other debt collection agency.

Adding "Delinquent Account" to the credit report every two months without sending notice is awful.

To my surprise I received a debt collection letter in the amount of $17.28. I went online to pay, but once you put in your credit card information there is no enter/submit button and so you cannot close it. I called them so that I can pay the amount and Was told that it is $17.32. I said that the statement says $17.28 cents. She said that the it accruals interest daily. I told her that doesn't make sense. If the statement says $17.28 cents you cannot collect $17.32c. what if I paid online the $17.28 which is what the statement says. Then I find out years later that the amount never closed due to a .04cents discrepancy. Its not the .04 cents I care about, is the fact that you can't close your account based on what they say. Horrible, Horrible experience. Stay clear and be super careful. I think they are just one big scam!!!!!!

Looking for a debt collector to get those invoices settled? come here. They call people in debt 24/7 365. Their incessant calls, rude employees and unethical, unprofessional strategy is sure to get their clients bills paid and their collections targets credit ruined. They ignore ALL state and Federal laws during the collection process. From intimidation to threats to uneducated employees they offer all available tactics lawful or not. Rash Curtis is reputable for immoral and illegal reasons. That's why they contract with governments and corporations using fear tactics and lies to be successful. Give them a shot.

Received a collection notice for a bill that I actually paid 3 years ago in 2019. Asked them to provide supporting documentation and they sent me the exact same bill I paid in 2019. My credit score plunged and it was impossible to speak rationally with these folks. Interest rates increasing, credit score decreasing; eventually I gave up and paid the initial amount AGAIN and $65 in additional interest. I should have fought this type of extortion but simply gave up.

By far the most unprofessional company I've ever encountered. Condescending, rude, discourteoues bunch of college dropouts I've ever talked to. They lack any level of concern or empathy. Their customer service skills and under handed tactics would be best served in a prison system.

Bad experience. Rash Curtis failed to call me to notify me of my debt. I had a bill from a hospital that I was unaware of; they had the wrong address so I never received anything. They turned the account over to Rash Curtis. I had no idea this was on my credit report. I just happened to check my credit report and saw an account in collections. They failed to send ANYTHING in the mail. And failed to leave me a voicemail notifying me of what was due. I got this sorted out with my original creditor. Rash Curtis lies and says that you have to “pay by 3pm today” or else it will remain on your credit report. Bad company.

Scummy debt collector. I got a notice saying i owe $39 from a hospital visit in december. I asked what it was for and all she could provide was the amount and my name, so i said I want to look in to this and make sure insurance wasnt supposed to cover it because i dont remember receiving a bill or even going to the hospital, which is usually something people remember. She starts going on about how its due to be reported on my credit and it would be such a shame if it hurt my credit score... over $39 measly dollars lol.

Truly terrible company and practices. They mistook my identity for someone who happens to have my same middle names. The person they were servicing a debt on, their first and last name are the same as my two middle names, but totally different DOB, SSN, address, etc. This was terrible timing as my credit cards were abruptly canceled by the CC companies. I had to do all my own work, contacting the original creditor, the 3rd party billing company all to get this straightened out. It took about 2 months then Rash Curtis and Associates mailed me a letter acknowledging their mistakes. Of course it never arrived because they sent it to the wrong address. Not that I expected much from a debt collection agency but if you're a business potentially looking for a debt collection agency to do your work for you, I would NOT recommend them. Their mistakes make you look bad too. *Looking at you East Bay Anesthesiology*

Shady shady shady . Back in the day I had state health insurance. What ever medi-cal doesn’t pay you can’t charge the balance . My insurance was already billed and paid , I sent the paper work to John Muir they said no problem they’ll fix it . I showed them the same thing . I’m not paying for something my insurance already paid they can keep on adding to it , it won’t change a thing .

I would give them zero stars if it was an option. Rude, unprofessional. Told them I have been unemployed due to covid, this man had the nerve to tell me to get a job at McDonald's, just to pay them something that shouldn't be on my credit in the first place. Asked for a settlement amount, he said it would be $1250 out of a $1,300 amount. No thanks, I'll wait the 7 years.

Rude even when you’re paying off your balance. Everyone has forgotten about an account sometime in their life, these representatives act like they’re better than you. Asked me a bunch of unnecessary questions before ending our call and when I asked why he was asking he said “it ain’t a big deal” and “we don’t really care lady”. I feel bad for these employees they sound absolutely miserable. Hope they will eventually figure out where their life went wrong.
