Had a great experience. Had a car appointment for car recall, no line, no wait. Friendly customer service (Chris). Had a shuttle service (dropped me off at the outlets) Parker, the driver, friendly and pleasant. Service was super fast!

Overall the experience at Vacaville Volkswagen was great. Only issue was the wait to get my car not Vacaville VW fault. Other dealer that they got car from didn't have it ready so it delayed it.

The customer service skills of the staff at Volkswagen were amazing! They were so nice and in no way spoke down to me when I, a woman, told them I had done all the manual labor on my car up to that point. I was expecting a condescending tone, but instead I was greeted with respect in the job I had done. It was pleasure to take my car to them!

On Saturday morning I arrived at the Vacaville VW service department without an appointment, since my car didn't start the night before and I had to call AAA to boost my battery while in Sacramento. I managed to get back home, called around in the AM and since the dealership didn't have the needed battery in stock, I picked a matching one up at a local auto parts shop.Even though there was only one mechanic working and their schedule was full, they were kind enough to squeeze me in, so that I would have transportation to take care of my grandkids and their puppy over the weekend.'i

Vacaville Volkswagen should be reported to the Bureau of Automotive Repair. They will try to upsell you, do not take your car there. I've been taking my car to this service department for all of it's needed repairs since I purchased it and will not be returning. Chris in customer service tried to sell me a battery, coolant flush, and coolant recovery bottle on top of the repairs it was towed in for. I tried to ask why my car needed each of these repairs but all he told me is the battery is coming back as "worn" and that the coolant and bottle were dirty. He was unable to tell me the voltage or any other details as to why my car needed these additional repairs. They told me, over text, that my car hadn't been starting since they received it and that it was due to the worn battery. I decided to decline the repair recommendations and once my car was ready they sent me a text that told me to bring jumper cables to retrieve my car because the check engine light was on. The check engine light was not on when I dropped it off, just the EPC light. In an effort to be prepared, I brought my father and jumper cables. With him to represent me, they changed their story. Now my car was barely starting.... I declined their service any further and retrieved my car which started right up. The check engine light was not on and has not returned since. It was obvious that they thought they could sell a 25 year old woman services she didn't need.Instead of trusting my car with them any further, I took my car to another mechanic for a second opinion. I was informed that my battery was perfectly healthy and my coolant bottle was fine. All I needed was the service the car was brought in for and the coolant flush. Vacaville Volkswagen does not have your best interests in mind and instead just wants to make a sale. By trusting my gut I saved $800 on unnecessary repairs.

Chris is always wonderful with the text updates and communication. Very professional and kind. Shelby is great, too. The issues was not fixed the first time the car went in. Service was accommodating, listened to our concerns and found the problem .

I wish they would of called me to see if I wanted my filters replaced. Even though they check may need to replace to it would of been nice to have the option.
