BUYER BEWARE!! Shame on you for deceitful practices!! Went in with brake pad replacement and quoted replacement for caliper/rotors/pads $4200. Sales pitch of truthful and transparent service made me sceptical!! Took my car to reputable brake company to find front pad and rotors only would be necessary and happily paid $500. Other reviews highlight same practice in recent months!! Gauging and insisting on excessive work requirements is deceptive and misleading and unfair!! Salespeople stressing truth and transparency is your con!! Unnecessary repairs lost your business credibility . BUYERS BEWARE

This place has taken an unfortunate turn from when Rick owned it. Scenario - 3year old Toyota 47K milesToyota stated new front brakes ( at 3) and brake fluid change. Called RG was quoted expected costs but would need a brake inspection which is $50 but waived if do the repairs. They proceed to call stating $3400 and we needed new brakes front and back (per Toyota they were at 6). Stated need new rotors unable to resurface (Toyota states they can). RG wanted to replace Calipers, i never have had to replace on a car. RG stated an oil change, Rick never touched an engine (Toyota just did the oil change last week). RG suggested transmission fluid change which Toyota doesn't recommend, especially this soon. They thought they would show me some brake pad and rotors like i know what they look like. Who said they actually came off his car. Really??? My mechanical brother laughed at all they wanted to do. It is unfortunate as the whole family used to go there.

I made an appointment online. When I arrived at the shop, they had no clue who I was, asked me to fill out the same information again maybe they should hire some AI intelligence. I’ve dealt with mechanics my whole life. Your first impressions of them are true The issue with my LanRover is well documented. It’s also well documented how mechanics try to charge upwards of over $1000 to fix a part that cost 50. Instead of just saying sure, I’ll diagnostic the problem and give you a price. They start off talking about another person’s job and how it took two hours to figure out the problem you can go on the Internet and see your exact same car and what the problems are. you just want to know which one it is. She got indignant when I question two hours for a diagnostic test and she ran away and said I’ll call my foreman and I’m like oh where is he? I talk to him first. Of course I would not let them touch my truck auto mechanics are just like dealers, unless they are not.

Thank you so much to the guys at RG Brakes and Alignment!!I was on a road trip from LA to the Bay andneeded an EMERGENCY alignment desperately. I was 5 mins away when I gave them a call and they were able to accommodate me right away.Thank you to Abel for the areangemen and Thomas, the alignment specialist for bringing my car back to spec.Side note: for my modified homies, they have a pit for the alignments so they are extremely lower car friendly. I personally never seen an alignment bay like this and it was amazing.10 stars out of 5. Thank you for getting me back on the road safely and with such short notice. The work is A1 and their customer service is top notch . I cant thank them enough!!!! If you need any work done give them a call and let them take care of you

R.G.Brakes is not the same business as when the former owner Rick green owned it. They over charged and they try to sell you things that you do not need. When I called them about it the office manager flat out lied about it. They tried to get me to change my transmission fluid by showing me dirty fluid from elsewhere and not from my car. My transmission fluid was done 3 months prior and did not need to be changed. They flat out lied to me to try and rip me off. When I told the office about it they offered me a free oil change. I said ok and maybe it was a valid mistake. 15 minutes later I was called and lied to by the so called office manager who said that it never happens as it's not on the paperwork. I told him that he is the one who showed me the dirty trans fluid on his little plastic tray. I told him that he is a liar and he tried to rip me off. Not to mention they charged me 150.00 over what my brake job should have been. I will never ever go back to them and I do not recommend them at all. Take your vehicles elsewhere so you do not get ripped off. BUYERS BEWARE

I own 3 vehicles that I was bringing to this shop for repairs. The first job was brake pads and rotors. They seemed to do a good job so I decided to use RG for all 3 if my vehicles.Vehicle#1 was brought in for brakes and alignment. I was told I need rotors and pads all the way around ( I have been told this every time I bring a vehicle in for brakes). I also needed an alignment. The brakes seem fine but the vehicle is still way out of alignment.Vehicle#2 was brought in for brakes, oil leak and intermittent starting issue. Once again I was told I needed pads and rotors all the way around. I trusted their evaluation so I authorized all repairs. The breaks seem fine. They told me the leak was not oil, but coming from the radiator so they sold me on a brand new radiator (I STILL HAVE A LEAK). They told me the intermittent starting issue was because I needed a new starter. I authorized the starter replacement (THE PROBLEM STILL EXISTS).Vehicle#3 was brought in for brakes on my wife's car. I was pretty confident because of low miles and easy driving we would only need pads. ONCE AGAIN THEY TOLD ME I WAS IN DESPERATE NEED OF PADS AND ROTORS ALL THE WAY AROUND TO THE TUNE OF $3,600.This time I DID NOT authorize the repairs. I brought the car to 2 other mechanics for independent evaluations and both said not only did I not need rotors, but the pads were fine.I DONT THINK ILL BE GOING BACK TO RG ANYTIME SOON.Services: Auto brake repair

Purchased new tires and car needed an alignment. Been to six different shops in the SCV. After another round of research and calling around, ended up at RG Brakes & Alignment. Now my car runs true, doesn't veer and the steering wheel is level again. Feels like a brand new car. Thanks R&G. Abel, Maggie, thanks for getting my car done in short time.

I have a 2006 Nissan Titan 4x4 and I took it to a tire shop to get an alignment, since my truck was pulling to the right. I picked up my truck and was told I need adjustable camber bolts, and had loose ball joints. I did some research and found the adjustable bolts on eBay. When I was ready to install them I noticed my truck already had them. I called the other shop and told them about the bolts, and they told me to bring it back. I brought it back for them to adjust it, and they got right on it. The technician drove it and put it on the rack. I couldn't find my truck after looking for it in the shop. They had parked it in a dirt lot, and for some reason they didn't tell me it was fixed for 30 minutes. I was also told I needed new tie rods, shocks, and my front axel was leaking. I drove it and it was worse then when I dropped it off originally. I called RG brake and alignment and spoke with Abel. I told him my story and he told me to bring it right in. I signed the repair order and they jumped all over it. After about 45 minutes the technician showed me that my rack and pinion was leaking and a tie rod end was a little bit loose but not bad. No axel leaking and no bad shocks. I paid Able and was a little scared about driving my truck and having the same problem. Well it was absolutely perfect,, there was no more pulling to the right. They even straightened my steering wheel to match the wheels going down the road. I am going to recommend RG bake and alignment to everyone I see or hear that have any issues with their vehicles, because they repair everything there. I am a customer for life now!!!! I did call the other shop and they said they are going to refund my payment.
