Why would I bother to make an appointment, when folks who walk in just ahead of me get their work done during my scheduled appointment time, while I had to wait well past my appointment time for walk-ins to get first in first seen service? Please honor your appointments. Replacing two front tires should NOT take more than three hours, particularly when the tire size and appointment time were pre determined. It's a one hour job max, and that includes checking in. The technician/mechanic didn't even come to get my auto for over an hour after my appointment time, and I checked in early!
About 40% of all these reviews address either dishonored appointments, or very long wait times. The response is to email someone who obviously won't take any steps to correct the problem, or the complaints wouldn't continue to be made.
Make no mistake, Pep Boys Vallejo has no intention to improve their performance. They get plenty of business off of the good name all the other Pep Boys earned

This review is in behalf of myself and an elderly couple i encountered at the counter (the elder lady crying) because they had been waiting for over 7 hours without progress and no replacement parts to show for.. apparently the guys at the counter thought it was funny that they were frustrated at the situation since he was grinning as he told them "it wasn't his fault" they had missed medical appointments and definitely were not in a condition to walk somewhere and eat. Pretty unacceptable to keep people hostage for almost 8 hours and have nothing to show for it. As for me.. my 1.5 hour alignment turn into a over 3 hour wait with kids and groceries. I hope they make things right for the elderly couple and give them a discount considering they've been told their car will be ready the next day ? idk know who reads this but you need new management at this location. On a side note my vehicle was supposed to be done at 6pm i showed up 10 min early. Considering they were running behind... their mechanic took the time to take a 15 to 20 min smoke break while my wife and kids were waiting sitting on the sidewalk with groceries ?

Don't bring your vehicle here. They lack communication and messed up 2 of my vehicles after alignment was performed the steering boots were torn. Don't recommend this place

to mechanic Steves Guillermo (?)! His calm demeanor and patience, educating me of the major issues of the car really put me at ease. I "Tip my Hat" to him and recommend him for his expertise and awesome customer service. Thank you again

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! The customer service was horrible, it took a total of three days to complete my service and to top it off, when I expressed how displeased I was with the service and over all experience they just shrugged it off and said, "sorry.. we only have one technician so there's nothing we can do." I was absolutely furious! I will never take my business there again.

Don't book an oil change if you value your time. And don't expect them to notify you when it's finished as they say they will. You've got to keep nagging them at the desk.

Izzie provided tremendous customer service and he had a very great attitude. I’m really “big” on customer service, so because of the great service that he provided; I’ll be returning for future service when needed.
