Change your store name to UnSafeway. Don’t shop here. Inside the store or in the parking lot, it’s not safe. You’ll likely to get mugged, especially women shopping alone.

The pharmacy staff here are rude and professional. Very tacky and little knowledge of anything besides the usual cold remedies. I would avoid at all costs.

My son's doctor prescribed 15 mg Ativan on November 1, 2021 immediately after the doctor's appointment, but did not prescribe refill for December 2021. My son's doctor appointment is scheduled 8 weeks apart, with 30 days prescription and 30 days refill, and his next doctor appointment is on December 27, 2021. On 12/3, I called the doctor office asking for refill and it was ordered at the Safeway Pharmacy at 774 Admiral Callaghan Lane, Vallejo, CA 94591. On 12/3, HELEN, SAFEWAY PHARMACIST, text-confirmed that Ativan has been filled and ready for pickup. On 12/4, I went to the pharmacy but HELEN "CHANGED HER MIND" and "DECIDED MY SON SHOULD NOT HAVE HIS MEDICATION". What is HELEN'S AUTHORIZATION? (1) The Ativan is prescribed by my son's doctor on 12/3 (2) My son has been taking Ativan 15 mg per month since Feb. 2021 (3) it is on Safeway Pharmacy's records (4) Helen the phmacist at Safeway text-confirmed on 12/3 for Ativan to be pickup (5) Helen refused to dispense Ativan on 12/4 (6) Helen refused to release two 0.5 mg Ativan for my son to tight-over this weekend until 12/6, Monday, when the doctor will be available in the office.

I'm not going to straight to the point. This safeway has a very low rating and I can see why. The manager name Alex is by far the worst grocery manager I have ever encounter. She's very, and unfriendly and wasn't very helpful. At Starbucks, the new girl who was being train was left by herself by her trainer. Alex the manager has to help her with my order. I don't think she was happy about that. I feel bad for the new girl. Good luck to her and wish her well. She did her best.

I was kicked out for refusing to put masks on my children. I'm not going to teach my kids to be brain-dead lemmings. How about instead you focus on the tweaker shooting up in the bathroom, or a health program for the 350 pound Safeway representative who enforced the dystopian decree in the name of health.

I would give this 0 star if possible. Safeway had a $5 fried chicken sale last Friday. I waited for the chicken for more than 30 minutes and it was already 12:30 pm, but the chicken was still cooking. I was so hungry, so I had to leave. I don't recommend getting cooked food from this particular Safeway especially if you need to get fried chicken. This dept. needs to improve its customer service. By the way, there were at least 8 people waiting, and also upset.

Lora made a beautiful custom arrangement for my boyfriend and I (my Valentines gift!). Despite it being busy, she was cheerful and conversed with us while we waited. We appreciated her hard work and positive attitude. Highly recommend! Definitely will be back :)

I like the great sales on meat and how convenient it is for me to be able to do curbside pick up. Im currently awaiting knee replacement surgery, on both knees..plus having my two toddler grandchildren with me.. so to have curb side pick up means the world to me.

A stupid store employee reprimanded a customer to wearing a FaceMask and even made fun of the customer. What kind of Safeway employee is that???? When there's trouble at the store they don't step in and calm the customers who are arguing!!! This happened tonight 1/18/2021 @ 5:00 pm Safeway management should give a customer service class to their employees.

They do not cull their "fresh" fruits and vegetables before it's too late. Rotten fruit, especially the heritage tomatoes, the cut fruit dishes, bagged oranges, cucumbers, corn, green beans, and bagged potatoes, strawberries, blue berries and grapes generally include a very rotten or moldy ones. If you still shop at Safeway, ALWAYS check the bagged potatoes and bagged oranges for moldy oranges and rotten potatoes. Do. Or trust a cursory visual inspection, Smell them. You simply cannot find anyone to help you on the store floor... and good luck getting the code to the public bathroom. But then, you do not want to use it! Filthy, not compliant with the Federal ADA or the State Unruh act. Neither is the parking and public walkways. The parking lot at night is full of riff-raft that approach you. Amazing how when they advertise buy 2-get 1Free. The store's orderer admits to always ordering only 5 units, so people will have to come back and buy more because they do not give rain checks on specials. Very unsanitary, inaccessible, and without courteous service. You may consider shopping elsewhere if you care about your health and the health of your family.

I will never order again from Safeway store especially here at Adm Callaghan in Vallejo. I've ordered and paid ham meal and prime rib meal 17 days before Thanksgiving Day but when I was picking up today my orders, I was told that there was no more prime rib so my money will just be refunded. I answered them that I can't go home without my right order because it was ordered ahead of time. I just kept standing there and waited for them to produce my orders. I failed to order last year because it it was only a week before Thanksgiving Day but this time, I see to it that I placed my order on Nov 9th, so I can't accept their reason that they ran out of Prime Rib. That was not the right attitude towards customers. In the first place, they should not accept orders if they know they won't be able to prepare or produce the orders on time. The manager that was called by one of the staffs came but did not make any comment but went straight inside their kitchen where the orders are being kept. Finally, after almost 40 minutes of waiting, my Prime Rib order came out but it was not cooked yet. It was so frustrating that I've ordered a cooked meal to make myself free from cooking since I get off from graveyard shift and I want to have a nap before my children come to join me for lunch. I ended up with no rest because of baking the said marinated prime rib. I normally don't give a bad review but this case is not tolerable. The entire crew was mean, trying to apologize without sincerity using loud voice that will agitate one's calmness. I hate doing this bad review but those people in that food section deserved this except for the young boy who was deaf and mute and didn't know what was going on. I do hope that those people would be subjected for disciplinary action by the management.

This has to be thee worst Safeway....multiple broken carts to 1 electric basket. Rude checkers, although the butcher was extremely helpful. Long lines for no reason...don't go here!

Safeway workers were really rude...I couldnt find a Safeway gift card at the big gift card section all they was all the big stores and stuff and I literally looked everywhere. so I went in line and I asked and he said they're all there in aisle 12 and 13 & i told him I know but I didn't see a Safeway one and he said well I can't help you ..?? What ??? And he told the worker that was helping him bag people's groceries he said "you can go help her" then she said "why me" And then she rolled her eyes and when went to the gift card section she said "they're all right here it doesn't just say Safeway on it it has our connected stores on it too" Where is the customer service???? Need to get their act together. Sooner or later you will close your business. You should be lucky your store is still open. Other groceries store better than you guys. Rude workers !!!!!!

While looking for a line that wasn't extended into the aisles we noticed that near the liquor aislethere were new checkout lanes. We didn't get in the line because we opted for self checkout thinking it would be quicker. When we noticed that the people in front of us had 20+ items in their cart we asked the clerk at the new checkout lane, who had just processed a customer with liquor and snacks , and was now not doing anything, if she could help us. She shook her head no.The clerk continued sitting there looking through drawers and then found a face shield. She then proceeded to take pictures with the face shield on before placing it back in the drawer. She then browsed social media while customers continued to stand in line at self checkout or waiting for the other registers. There aren't many options for grocery customers in Vallejo, and we opt for Safeway because it is the cleaner grocery store in Vallejo, but be prepared for horrendous customer service. This wasn't the first time we have had bad customer service at this store, but today was absolutely ridiculous. A standard should be set, but it should not be a standard of dismissing customers because you want to indulge in social media while on the clock. This post is intended as an FYI for anyone that hasn't experienced grocery shopping in Vallejo.
