It was a easy shopping trip.but only two cashiers were open.i use the self checkout.they have lots of food stuff i shop weekly.

Nina Mike and Marianne of the pharmacy are so amazingly helpful. They know my whole family and are so friendly. Also a new guy that works I. The store named Reggie is so sweet. He helps me to my car anytime he sees me and always has a kind word.

I came in today as soon as they opened and I had bought stuff but then returned one item because I thought it would be free but when I came to return it derisee or whatever her name was she was rude. She started huffing and puffing because I returned one item and I paid with card and she returned my money with cash….. I used to work at Safeway so I know that you have to return it back to the card when the customer pays with a card. It was an unpleasant experience. Usually everyone is nice but I’ve never seen this lady before. Check your employees.

I always thought that this was the nicest location in Vallejo. Clean, large and modern store. Today I was disrespected by a cashier and a pretend manager. I attempted to purchase gift cards and groceries with a credit card and was told that I needed to use cash or debit card. I mentioned that I've been buying gift cards for 6 years now and never had a problem and I've even spent $2000 at once. I received a rude look and was told that cannot be (I'm making it up). I asked for a manager and they called someone and told me they were at lunch and unavailable. I had then remove the cards from my purchase and left. I called the store from my car and asked for a manager. The person that answered claimed she was a manager (I called an hour after and the other person said she wasn't a manager). This "manager" told me that the policy changed a month ago. I decided not to believe her. I immediately drove to another location and had no problems buying gift cards. I then called Corporate and told them what happened. They said that this policy was 100% not true. They apologized and said that Safeway should not do this to customers and will have a district manager call me. It is sad that one employee was rude, disrespectful and lied to me and basically called me a liar while another employee pretended to be a manager and told me an incorrect policy. Especially when I think highly of 99% of Safeway stores and my ecoeriences.

I am a Glen Cove homeowner/resident and I've shopped at this Safeway for over 30 years. In general, this is one of the better locations in Vallejo/Benicia/American Canyon. The store is well stocked, clean, and organized. Prices are high, except for when they have sales on Just for U member prices and $5 Friday specials. All staff are polite and helpful except for one. She is the supervisor in the alcohol department, tall lady in her 50s with platinum blonde hair. For some reason, she's tagged and approached me on 3 separate occasions, watching me like a hawk and treated me like a suspect of something. I don't know what her problem is, but I wish she begone. I am a patron, not a criminal.

They're a little understaffed, but that doesn't stop them from being really helpful. I was looking for a somewhat obscure item the other day; woman behind the customer service counter took the time to take me directly there. Never would have found it without her!

Good place to shop at, especially when there are sales. Without the sales, the prices can get pretty steep, so I always try to keep an eye out for deals on the sale ad. Sometimes Safeway even offers a free item if you clip it on the app by a certain date. The store is usually clean, and the items on the shelves are pretty organized, which is a plus. If you're looking for a specific item, the app also shows the aisle number depending on the location you have selected. A very convenient feature. One con is that the self checkout sometimes bugs out and doesn't apply the deals, so you might have to go to customer service to have it manually inputted, but fortunately I haven't had that problem much.

I don’t like writing reviews but this is ridiculous at this point … I usually come here to get a sandwich made . But the last two few days I came here . The guy told me he couldn’t make my sandwich because he was “busy” so I came back a day later and was told to wait while he cut the meat I wanted . I said okay .. he then walked around the kitchen for awhile and after 5 mins told me “ you might as well just get something else that’s made already because I’ll have to clean kitchen & the meat machine first”… I just won’t come back here again .

I'm writing this review more so to warn customers. Make sure you double check the dates on everything. I've come home more then once only to find out I've bought food that was expired and I'm not talking about by a few days some have been months past the expiration date. I don't know if this is a shame on me thing or what but I would expect a big well known store like Safeway to have fresh not expired food on the shelves

This location is getting a little ridiculous with the crazy price increases. I've found things that were literally nearly double the price of other, nearby Safeway locations. It's things like charging more for their grocery store sushi than an actual sushi restaurant charges, charging $5.99 for 4 brownies which they layer on top of each other so that the frosting gets ripped off of most of them. Yikes! In addition, I just noticed that I haven't been getting any of the promised bonus points or rewards that I clipped on my account. They gave me some of them but not even close to all, check your receipts!

This is my neighborhood grocery store. The staff is helpful. There’s a big self checkout section. They’ve blocked off the second entrance and exit. It’s a little annoying lol but outside of that I have no complaints.I went recently and now you have to scan your receipt for the gate to open and let you leave the store…keep ya receipt it’s the key ha ha

shame on all management here in store entrance no shoping buckets for customers and if someone stole it so you should arrange more it's not like you guys are very poor charge extra money on all products on the shelfs ,how can you can not provide hand carry bucket of plastic to the customers your business only that big metal carts.

Ridiculously coordinated, floor plan is outrageous and takes twice as long to shop, card readers are outdated causing issues and delays, lastly.... to purchase liquor in the 1 designated line has taken away hours of time from there loved ones, friends, personal time, and for how long this operation has been going, it's only gotten worse. Also, why does the produce and meat quality not on the same scale as other locations?

I'd like to thank Colleen on checkstand #5 for her professionalism and good cheer. It was 4 pm on Friday and the store was crowded. She was quick, efficient and friendly. While helping the customer in front of me, his bag of sugar tore. Colleen was quick to have a staff member fetch a new bag, while keeping the line moving. She greeted me with a smile, asked my b'day (I was buying beer), and wished me "a happy early birthday (it's next week). She was really hustling, but gave everyone her attention and kindness. Thanks, Colleen.
