There's not much in here. Came to price out an alteration. The man was super rude. He gave us a price. I said let me think about it and walked around. We decided to to go ahead with the alterations and then he said he didn't want to do it anymore.

Way too small. Very unorganized. Products weren't interesting. Only things that caught my eye were the claw machines but of course I didn't play them. I'd suggest Valley Indoor Swap Meet as an alternative. It's around 2 miles from this location.

This review is for Kim Thai Food inside the La Fiesta Swap Meet on Sherman Way in North Hollywood. A friend referred us to Kim Thai Food for authentic Thai food. So on Wednesday, October 7, 2020, my wife and I decided to stop by and pick up a few items for our dinner. The eatery is nestled inside the swap meet in the food court area. Due to the epidemic conditions, all food is offered on a take-out basis. We decided to get papaya salad, BBQ chicken strips on skewers, grilled beef salad, and sticky rice. All items were prepared according to our specifications, namely, light on spices. The food was very tasty and flavorful. We enjoyed every item and they were delicious. The owner and employees were friendly and amiable. The price of dishes are also very reasonable. Be aware that they only accept cash. Overall a very good experience. If you like authentic Thai food, friendly service, I urge you to give this place a try. We enjoyed our selections!

I was so glad to finally get to shop and eat here. This is the perfect place to by local souvenirs for gifts for friends and family abroad. Instead of paying City Walk prices and parking fees, I was able to get LA, California, Dodgers and "streetwear" for a quarter of the price. Lots of adorable baby T shirts are on sale here. After shopping, I had Laotian mushroom soup at Kim Thai. Next time I can get spinach and cheese pupusas , fried fish, gumbo, or falafel next door. There's plenty of paletas, shave ice, and smoothies for dessert. Some of the reviews complain about the location and make fun of this indoor swap meet. That is entirely unfair. The La Fiesta swap meet is clean, and there are plenty of things to buy, from traditional Asian and Latin American herbal medicines to baseball and soccer memorabilia. You can buy gold and silver jewelry, get a tattoo, have your nose pierced or get a gel manicure. There's even a curandera and a couple of botanicas that deal in votive candles and "spiritual cleaning." Maybe inside the botanica, those with bad attitudes about Van Nuys and the valley can be cured of their snobbery.

The cockroaches went down very well with the chinese food. And they were completely complimentary. That's probably why the health rating is a "C" because it stand for cockroaches

Okay. So I'm literally just basing my review on this Thai food spot inside of this swap meet. I think there's just one inside, and it's in the far end...very much a hole in the wall, but OMG it's probably one of the best little Thai food spots in the area. They're spicy Thai sausages and papaya salad are explosive with flavor, and seriously beware of the papaya salad's spiciness (and this is coming from a Thai girl who grew up eating firey spice). But the flavors are great and the employees there are very sweet. There's even a small little area you can eat. Definitely worth coming to grab a quick lunch if you don't mind the fact that it's inside of a swapmeet.

I come here for Thai-Lao food. Kim Thai moved from a vendor at the Thai Temple to this place, so we followed. The swap meet also has other types of food like Kababs and Pupusas. The seating area is not so comfortable, but seatable. Do not expect glassware or silverware- it's all paper/plastic ware type eating.

Small swap meet which may be convenient for people who live in the area, but I wouldn't go out of my way to go there as there are other indoor and outdoor swap meets that have way more to offer. The building probably used to be a medium size market and has 3-4 aisles to walk down with the usual swap meet offerings (t-shirts, women's clothing, men's clothing, toys, shoes, jewelry, etc.). There are a couple of places that sell Mexican food and fruit/smoothies. There are some local businesses that sell eyeglasses, acupuncture and massage services and a place that sells religious candles and statues. I tagged along with my sister who wanted to go and we were done going through it in 15 minutes. I was grateful there was no entrance fee.

Do not shop for gold with Asian couple right when you walk in , bought gold bracelet that I paid $200 for from hit and saw that one of my links bent off . Wanting to get it replaced or fixed before it got any worse I went in literally 5 days after buying the bracelet and asked him to fix it or at least honor his exchange within 7 days policy . He kept repeating that he never sold the item to me like that and that he had to charge me to fix it . Is that seriously how you manage to treat someone that brings you business ? I told him I hadn't worn it and that he needs to honor his policy . He persisted that he doesn't sell broken stuff so I said give me my $200 on something else cause I don't want something broken . He then stated that he'll give me $75 credit only . I had my buddy with me who was also going to make a purchase but I ended up telling him not to buy anything from them . The guy then stated that it's fine and he doesn't need any business . SO IF HE DOESNT NEED MY BUSINESS , HE SHOULDNT NEED ANYONE ELSES RIGHT ? Make your ways down a little more and support the other jewelry store rather than this guy .

The concessions range from a small space that is 10'x5' selling vintage toys to Pulido Optical which has some upscale eyeware. Kim Thai eatery is in the back selling Southeast Asian fare, some of which rival highly touted Jitada at an amazing half the price. Some of the concessions are pretty slick to humble, down home stores that remind me of my trips to culturally fascinating Mexico where workIng class people come to shop. For me, the varied shops here offer a kaleidoscope of common, quotidian goods that are far more interesting than going to an upscale mall or walking along Rodeo Drive viewing Bottega Veneta, Louis Vuitton, Van Cleef & Arpels, etc. Well, anyway, "Chacun à son goût." 4- Yelp stars.
