“Jon's is one our go-to supermarket if my wife or I need something quickly, many times that's after work (after 5 pm). It's a relatively clean market, can feel cramped at times especially at those hours on a weekday and parking while not the worst parking lot I've seen for a supermarket, at those busy hours you may circle around once or twice to find a spot.
I can't speak to their meat or seafood department but their deli meat selection is good especially if you're after more Russian meats you wouldn't find at your local Ralph's or Von's. Bakery also has some unique breads not found elsewhere.
Certain things, dairy items come to mind the most, for some reason cost more than the Gelson's just down the road, could never figure that out. Otherwise the prices are reasonable, not Vallarta but not Whole Foods either.”

“As an Armenian, I shop at a lot of Armenian markets and most of them carry the same products that meet our needs. I normally wouldn’t leave a review for a supermarket, but this one truly stands out.
An apple is an apple! the difference here is the service. From the guys at the deli and butcher to the staff at the checkout, everyone is genuinely helpful and respectful. You can feel that customer service actually matters to them, and that makes a big difference.”
“Been a long time customer. It’s my favorite grocery store the selection is great and they get really fun unique items and produce year round. The filmed an episode of the tv show lark and rec here. In the episode where Chris(rob lowe) takes Ron swanson(nick offerman) to a health food store and Ron hates it. Buts I love it! You will too.”

“Today I was in this store for the first time, we bought beef and a box of dates, the meat was very tasty, but unfortunately the whole box of dates for 25 dollars turned out to be spoiled, they smelled expired (I wanted to write them a Ramadan post, but I was very upset (please be careful with expiration dates and proper storage, what should I do now with a huge box of expired dates?
I also want to note that the staff there is wonderful, very friendly and attentive, they fulfilled all my requests, I don’t want you to make adjustments, I’m just very upset about the dates, forgive me for writing this (”
“I personally love this TJs but selection is admittedly a bit more limted than other stores. Maybe with the planned move into the old Rite Aid building they will expand?? Still love shopping there bc everyone is so nice and it’s super efficient to get in and out.”
“Not the most organized grocery store in the area, but it definitely has a great selection and variety of products. As soon as you walk in, the smell of durian and fresh seafood hits you right away which you need to get used to. I highly recommend checking out the ice cream section and the bakery.”

I like that there are many unique products that are hard to find in other grocery stores. The staff was helpful, and the store was well stocked. “This place is awesome. My girlfriend and I stopped by right around closing time, but the owner was kind enough to still help us out, which we really appreciated. I’m glad he did because the store has a great variety of beers and wines, plus tons of snacks to choose from. Everything is very organized and easy to find. “Gosh I want to gatekeep this so badly but I love it too much to keep it to myself. The Beachwood Market is THE vibe. It feels like stepping back in time in the most soul-soothing way. There’s an indescribable effortless chicness radiating from every corner.
The fruits and vegetables are displayed with such perfection you can hardly believe your eyes. The whimsy of the model train set. The vintage architecture. The genuine and competent staff. The charming as heck made-to-order deli counter.
They have all the essentials plus unique and interesting products you suddenly feel compelled to try. I personally love the local pastries and treats displayed at the front of the store with so much love and attention. Also tons of cool, hard to find magazines.
Come for the midcentury canyon vibes and stay bc you won’t want to leave.”
“1/26 - bought veggie sandwich and as you can see most avocado and veggies in the middle nothing on edge. Who wants only a bite of avocado and veggies only in the middle of a sandwich 😞 🥪. They cut it in the middle and display it gave up where it was cut so it appears as though the sandwich is full. I've seen other places do this too. Misleading...

“**warning: check your receipt!!! For the last 20 years. I have been going to EL MAMBI, they have salted pig tail, and butter beans and a lot of Goya's products, no-gas green bananas and other central Americans food. I wish they had salted mackerel. I am going to check to see if they have salted beef. They do have baccalo but not very good quality. I love their sweet potatoes, Ñame root . Thank the Lord that they are still operating in Glendale since this is the last Central American/ Caribbean market left in Glendale CA. ****Someone mentioned below that you should check your receipt before leaving and make certain that they do not overcharge you. I noticed they did that to me before seeing this warning and it was a lot about $15 overcharging me and now I truly believe that they did it on purpose, one of the female cashed me out and I noticed it was too high. She make me feel as if she did not clear the register from the last customer. But now I look back and realize by her response she knew what she did. *** Be careful when the females are cashing you out. It is just a shame to steal from your customers!!”

“I'm giving Seafood City a solid four stars. Let me start by saying—the moment you walk in, you're hit with a strong seafood smell. It's not the most pleasant at first, almost like something's gone bad, but after a few minutes, you realize it's just that raw, natural seafood scent you’d expect from a place selling live crab and fresh catch daily.
The store itself is extremely well stocked, especially if you're looking for Asian groceries or specialty items you won’t find at your regular supermarket. The seafood section is impressive—they offer a wide variety of fresh options, including live crab and shellfish. However, the meat section didn’t look too great. The quality seemed a little off, but to be fair, I wasn’t expecting premium cuts here.
What knocks it down to four stars for me is the customer service—or lack of it. Employees barely acknowledge you, and when they do speak, it’s so fast and mumbled that it’s hard to understand what they’re saying. It feels very rushed and impersonal.
If you're coming strictly for the selection, this place delivers. But don’t expect warm greetings or help from the staff. Still, worth stopping by if you're looking to cook up something fresh and flavorful at home”

“I’m a regular customer here and this is honestly one of the best halal chicken shops around. The chicken, mutton, and keema are always super fresh and clean. You can really see and taste the quality.
They also have all the spices and masalas you need, which makes it very convenient. If you don’t like waiting, just call ahead — he’ll prepare everything for you. You just go, pay, and pick it up. Simple and quick!
Highly recommend this place for fresh halal meat and great service.”

There are some problems: the first parking lot is always full, the second problem is that it is very narrow to walk between the rows. Once I wanted to pass by a beautiful woman of about 48 years old. I swear I didn't hit her from behind on purpose. I hope you understand. She laughed and smiled. If she hadn't been nice, she would have made a fuss.
