We needed a large SUV/ mini-van for two days in LA over Christmas. This AVIS location was closest to our family and was open on Christmas Eve, so we decided to rent from here. Service was good but limited car options and the car we got was not cleaned. The interior had pet hair , food on seat belts, sticky stuff on seats. Pick up and drop off were easy so giving three stars.

Renting a car here is inconvenient if you're the only customer and downright painful if there happens to be anyone else present. I was first told they might not have a vehicle ready (despite having made a reservation a month in advance), the vehicle itself was dirty, the tank was not full, and the entire process took 30+ minutes when, as a Preferred member, one expects to hop in the car they select/update in the app. Yet somehow at this location it was as if Avis had never heard of me and all my information didn't exist in their systems. This was legit time traveling back to the 90s when everything was done on paper, initials and signature required on forms that printed from a dot matrix, identification requested and basic personal questions asked, with numerous updates made into the computer. I guess if you're willing to act like it's your first time doing business with this company, they will eventually get you a car - but if you have any illusions of being recognized as a returning customer who rents dozens of cars a year in a relatively efficient and expeditious manner, the experience here will be the equivalent of having teeth pulled.

Customer service is HORRIBLE at this place. Walked in and not even an acknowledgement that we were standing there. Not a 'hello i will be with you in a minute.' Stood around for 15 minutes until he said 'you have a reservation' Not a greeting or anything. And its s tiny room. Then he pointed at the car and said 'there.' That was the extent of customer service. Car was dirty from outside due to all the dust where its kept. Honestly could have gotten better service from a vending machine.

The place is filthy, the most obnoxious staff, cars are dirty & they double charge. This place shouldn't be in business & Avis should reconsider having them as dealers

I hate it that they moved from the nice place on Oxnard to this location. Although the new location is within walking distance from me, the Oxnard location which is much better.I've never had a problem with their service. My rating is based on the move from a good location in an industrial area to an old building that looks like it was once a house.

We needed to rent a car for our daughter's wedding. Every place was expensive and I went through Costco which has a good deal. I had my choice of any of the Avis offices and I choose this one because it was the closest to Costco just incase I needed to fill the car up for either pickup or drop off. I called and spoke to Ceasar and requested a car with a full tank of gas and if I can pick it up earlier. We arrived earlier and Ceasar had a car ready for us to pickup that was clean and filled up. Pickup was quick and easy. So was drop-off. I would definitely rent from this office again.

Customer service was so-so. The CSR was on his phone while trying to check me in saying he had to text his boss. Really that could not have waited until I was checked in? The physical plant was extremely filthy. The car was delivered extremely dirty. The trunk, Interior, and overall all car was dirty. Delivered with half of tank of gas. I had to take it to the car wash after I left AVIS to clean it inside and out. . I would never return to this location or rent from this AVIS again. The customer service Rep stated the facility was a corporate store. There is nooo way this was a Corporate store. If so, the entire corporate management should be fired immediately.

Hands down the Worst customer service in my life. Even though the person that worked here is rude that was the least of my problem. When I got there he started cleaning everywhere and then disappeared without communication as too where he was going? How would you like to have reserved your car for 8am pick up from two weeks ago and on the day of pick up they have no cars available for you? Couldn't they have called me the day before and told me sorry we don't have a car for you rather than me driving there and wasting my time and having to cancel my trip because of the management being incompetent. Let's move forward: They only had two cars available. Please look at the photos below. one was already rented and the Tahoe he said he has to call his manager to find out if it's available? What the Hell? What kind of business are you running. I will complain to corporate and get this owners license revoked and business taken away from them. They know nothing about how to run a business as I have dealt with Avis car rental a lot and this is not acceptable. I will not back down until this location shuts its doors.Please avoid this location Instead go to any airport near you as their customer service has been top notch since I do rental cars from Avis all the time from airports. I rate this place a two thumbs down and if you read this and end up going there to rent a car. Remember I told you so.
