This is a long overdue review. I adopted my dog a year ago from Pups without Borders. After losing my dog of 15 years, I was ready to adopt my first rescue dog. I had heard horror stories from others about how hard it was to get approved by a rescue if you worked any days outside of the home or had kids/other pets. I am happy to say that none of those things precluded me from being considered and accepted by Pups without Borders. They interview you to ensure that you are a stable and loving home and a good fit for the dog(s) you select, but they don't make the barriers to adopt unrealistic like many other places do. We are so happy that this street dog from Mexico made her way into our home and can't imagine our lives without her.

It's really sad seeing such a wonderful rescue be attacked with false information. I was one of the first adopters and have become close with the rescue and seen what they go through to rescue every dog that comes through their doors. I recently read a review claiming that this rescue is nothing more than a puppy mill. I have volunteered here before and have learned that this rescue is full of passionate angeles that go above and beyond to save the lives of an overwhelming amount of pups. I know that every dog that comes through their doors has a story and history that is beyond devastating. Whether the dog was rescued pregnant on the streets of Mexico or abandoned by they should have been forever home because they got pregnant or neglected. From the outside looking in, you could easily come to the conclusion that they are just another profit maker when a litter of desires or pure breads or mixes come available. What you don't know is that they are the byproduct of an abandoned neglected mother left by a family that was not responsible enough to know the commitment of adopting and Spaulding their pets. Please reach out, ask questions and see what saints this organization is full of. Reviews that state otherwise more than likely didn't get selected because of the rigorous selection process that is necessary so that these animals are never going to be placed in a home or family that is not prepared and repeat the cycle that brought them here

Two Dogs escaped from this shelter and attacked a man at our nearby apartment complex! How does this happen? I am afraid for my family as we go on walks!

An amazing rescue full of the most caring humans I have ever met. We adopted our sweet pit bull from here, and we're just so grateful they brought him into our lives. They are also an amazing organization to foster for.

I believe they are trying their best to fit pups to locals, so for an out of state adopter- I'm not considered. But I guess that makes sense ?♀️ All I care about is that these puppers get a good loving home forever. The repetitive emails telling me that the pup I'm interested is no longer available is a little annoying after being denied-and then getting additional emails being denied. Lol. It was like ok! I get it! I'm not going to adopt! ?

Yesterday we had my son's 4th birthday party, and we had Pups without Borders bring 8 ADORABLE puppies and OMG it was truly the most magical party we have ever thrown OR been to haha! The puppies were so sweet and playful, the two women from Pups Without Borders were WONDERFUL with all the kids, and the kids (and adults) were IN LOVE with all the puppies. Brilliant brilliant company-- I hope my son wants to do this again next year!

My partner and I recently adopted Coconut (now Marinara) through Pups without Borders. The process was easy and transparent. We submitted an application and wanted to meet a few pups since we would be driving from several hours away. We could check the status of our application through the Adopt First website. Once our application was reviewed we moved into the phone interview stage. It took about a week or so for Pups without Borders and I to connect with our busy schedules. Once we did they asked a lot of thoughtful questions and provided a clear outline of next steps. The last phase was a virtual walk through of our living space. We were able to share photos and videos. Once approved they connected us with the Foster of Coconut and we asked many more questions and learned about our little man. They also helped us to arrange to meet a few pups that were not in foster care yet. We made the journey and met all the pups but in the end Coconut was the best fit. We finalized the remaining details and he came home with us. He has been a great addition to our family. He is a sweet and cuddly little guy. Loved working with Pups without Borders and would recommend them to anyone looking to adopt!

Got this beautiful boy through Pups Without Borders. The application was simple, the service was expedient, and overall a pretty simple process. Would definitely recommend. 10/10

We had a great experience adopting our puppy Stacey (now Ruby) through Pups Without Borders. This group clearly has the best interests of their dogs at heart and truly cares. The adoption process had multiple steps but nothing out of the ordinary from other rescues we've worked with in the past. Our puppy was clearly well loved and care for, she is as sweet and loving as they come! She bonded very quickly with our other dog.

My neighbor recommended Pups Without Borders to me and I can not recommend them enough for someone looking to add a new member to the family. The work this rescue does is amazing and from the moment we stepped foot into the facility to meet our new boy, they were incredible. We spent upwards of an hour meeting some puppies and when we decided to commit to adoption, the process was seamless. I know some people have gripes with the adoption process through rescues because of overly stringent requirements such as never being out of the home for more than 4 hours or not having a yard but I certainly don't have a large apartment and they were more interested in my ability to provide the best home possible to my new puppy. The adoption fee might be a little higher than the average rescue but I just thought of it as a sizeable donation to help the other dogs in their care who might need a little more TLC. Since adopting Franco, now Alfie, I've even come out to adoption events and Alfie got to see some of the people who raised him. It's clear he got an amazing start in life. He was regularly taken to puppy parties, used to the car, and play pen/crate trained. He is the most confident, outgoing, and well adjusted puppy I could have asked for and he has truly become a part of our little family. Communication after the adoption was a little more difficult for things like vaccine and neutering but they are all volunteer run and I know these ladies have a ton on their plate. Thank you to the PWB team for introducing love and joy into my life while I was struggling with grief. Love, Kait and Alfie

What an amazing org and group of people! My husband and I had been wanting to expand our little family to include a dog. We both grew up with dogs but had never had a dog or puppy as adults. Pups without Borders was incredibly easy to work with and you can feel and see the care they put into these dogs. Everyone from the team member who screened us, to the foster family, to the team member we coordinated vaccines with was so kind, knowledgeable, and excited for us!

Recently adapted a senior pup who was rescued in Mexico from this rescue group. She is an absolutely sweetheart just like the rescue said. It turned out she is much older than what they told me (based on my vet's assumption) and has health issues(not critical at all) , but so what. When we get older we do get something unless you are really lucky and she is young in her soul. Thank you so much for saving this gentle soul and taking care of her. And my special thank you to the adaption coordinator! I appreciate your help to make the adaption process smoothly.

We had a puppy party for my daughter's 7th birthday, and Pups Without Borders brought 6 of their adorable, adoptable puppies. Tristan, the puppy handler, was so friendly and kind, and the upfront logistics were very straightforward and easy. As a bonus, it was much more affordable than a couple of other places I looked into. Thank you for making my daughter's party a success and more importantly all you do for your puppies!
