Really positive experience here. Chris the owner walked me through his process when diagnosing my truck which really made me realize that he was genuinely trying to help me. Majority of shops I’ve gone to I always end up paying for more or feel like I’m being scammed. Not the case here. They were super super transparent, quick service, and the job was done perfectly. No issues. I also wanted to say thank you to Alfredo. He booked me in, answered all my questions, was extremely professional, and was fine as hell. Thank you I’ll be recommending yall to everyone.

I was referred to Chris & Fredo by a friend, and it was the best referral ever. They’re truly amazing grease monkeys!!! They did an amazing job on my 2012 MBZ and I can’t thank them enough. Thank you so much guys. I’d definitely recommend this business to anyone who needs a good mechanic. Not only are they good mechanics, but their pricing is pretty reasonable as well. My car drives like new now.

I found these guys for my Daughter about 5 years ago and she's been very happy with them. On a trip down from Norcal, my Lexus GX470 alternator died. We were able to limp over the Grapevine and get into Sherman Oaks before nightfall. At that point, the AC, windows and everything electric stopped working. I got the car into the shop, they confirmed a dead alternator and got it fixed that day for a reasonable price. We were able to continue our trip from LA, to Vegas, the Utah and back home thanks to these guys.

This is a long overdue review for Van Nuys Auto Works, Chris and his employees.
I can't say enough about the excellent work and customer service. I wish I could give them 1000 stars! Chris is so kind as are all of the mechanics I've interfaced with, and I see nothing but satisfied customers whenever I'm there.
I have a 2004 Prius that I've kept in great condition. It suffered a bad car accident to the right front quadrant in December 2024. I thought I'd have to total it and get into a new or used car which I couldn't afford.
I took it into Chris and decided to have him repair it which I didn't even think was possible. It ended up costing much less than a monthly car payment for years to come.
My car looks like nothing ever happened to it, and it drives like it did before the accident!
I'm so grateful to Chris and everyone over there for taking such good care of me and my car!

I can’t recommend Van Nuys Autoworks enough! I brought in my classic truck after it developed a pretty concerning oil leak, and Chris and Fredo were fantastic throughout the entire process. From the moment I walked in, they were honest, professional, and clearly very knowledgeable about older vehicles. They quickly diagnosed the issue, explained everything in a way that was easy to understand, and had it fixed much faster than I expected. It’s rare to find a shop that combines technical skill with genuine customer care, but these guys nailed it. I’ll definitely be back for future work and won’t hesitate to send friends and family their way.

This place exceeds my expectations every time! Fredo and Chris excel for courtesy, customer service, and fair prices! I came here on a recommendation after my local mechanic tried to overcharge on routine maintenance! Fredo and Chris were appalled at the other mechanic's unfair pricing. They evaluated my car, and only charged for what really needed fixing, which was a fraction of the other place's estimate. They did it quickly and were so courteous.. and so helpful. I will keep going back here!

GO HERE! I had a Honda Element door lock that needed to be fixed urgently on a Friday. All shops were quoting me Tuesday $200+ repair. Jack squeezed me in day of and quoted me $200.00. After inspecting it, it was missing a piece that he already had on hand and halved the repair cost to $100.00. Really appreciate the good spirit of Jack and Aram. Thanks!
