We wanted a electric cart and they had the best price. The two seater electric cart was brand new and had some malfunction but we brought it back and they provided another and I must say. This is a MUST! We were able to go up and down the coast(short distance) battery life lasts over 2 hours. The cart can get up to 28mph(it could go faster, was just cruising).

Really friendly guys running the store, prices are fully transparent and easy to work with.We use them to rent beach umbrellas for as long as we need to. They also have other rentals available as well, for skating, surfing, biking, etc. They do hold your Driver's License for collateral but we did not have any problems returning the rentals back to them. Smooth and easy process.

There's a good many reasons why JOHNNY's Boardwalk has been in existence for so many years. They are family and treat u the same. Buying or renting you are best off with BOARDWALK. Old customer ROLLER BLADE BOBBY.

My husband was to using his phone to zoom in on a price of an item here (he couldn't see it from where he was and being a photographer, figured he'd find it that way) and and was rudely told by the man working there that no photos were allowed. My husband responded by saying sure, he just wanted to know the price. The man went on to tell my husband to come back when he has money, which is incredibly insulting and prejudiced, seeing as my husband was casually dressed and is a person of color. He was really looking forward to treating himself to a new skateboard (and yes, he definitely has money to spend) but will go somewhere with his business. So disappointing.

This place is an amazing place to scope out boards, birds and bikes. Owner is super awesome, Johnny! He hooked me up with an arbor board today and in a simple transaction I'm back on my wheels. Come in today to shop or rent!

Rented two bikes and sadly one was stolen. Upon return I did it would be great if they had locks available. He explained they do you just need to ask. He said it's common sense that a bike gets stolen if you turn around for a split second. I explained I wasn't from around here and that would also be wonderful to know and advise future customers. He did it was common sense and my fault not his. The bike was a total piece of crap with shifters that didn't work and he charged me 350. I accept responsibility for losing bike, but Terrible product, terrible customer service.

Horrible employees! Tried to charge an extra hour to my brother and I. Definitely not coming back here! There are plenty more options nearby, don't come to this lame shop trust me. Their bikes aren't even nice. They gave my brother and I some rusty bikes that had dust all over them and the brakes didn't work.

Solid enterprise. Rented two pairs of rollerblades for eight dollars a piece (one hour rental time). I believe the hourly rate is less if one wishes to blade for longer than an hour. Speaking as someone who needed only the bare necessities, the blades fit well and functioned as they should; zero complaints there. The location of the business works as it allows one to choose their own adventure. They're not quite equal distance between Santa Monica Pier and all the Venice action on the other end, but they're close enough to both to allow a fun and easy skate in either direction. They also offer rental surf gear and bikes, as well as a selection of sunglasses (bought a $9 pair) and an extensive collection of sandals & more.

The initial guy we talked to at this place was nice and helpful. But then a second employee came and helped us, he was extremely rude and incredibly unprofessional. He asked us a question and because we didn't answer right away, he responded with "what you no speak English?" Rude. We only had the bikes for about fifteen minutes because one of the girls could not ride with her injured foot, he made her feel bad about not being able to ride and we were still charged $7 each for the full hour. He made the whole experience quite horrible and made me never want to rent a bike here ever again. I do not know his name, but he is the person in the photo I will post under tips.

HAPPY PERSON... This place rocks. I love to rollerblade in Venice and I've had from time to time problems with my skates these people are a great help. Friendly, knowledgeable, and always willing to help you out with any problems you might have. They also rent everything from bikes to surfboards plus, they sell apparel and sunglasses. I also like drinking vitamin water and they happen to have the one I like. All-around A great vibe.

First time renting bikes great experience with the gentlemen running the shop super friendly. They have an ATM machine but bring cash to avoid the fees to withdraw money. We filled out the paperwork and left my DL behind. You pay once you bring the bikes back. I had not been on a bicycle since being a lil girl so it was a bit getting used to I almost ate it a couple times. We rode our bikes from Venice all the way to Malibu and back yes my legs were on fire. We actually returned the bikes early. We originally had planed to rent then for two hours which was going to be $12 but the guy have us the credit for the early drop off and we only ended up paying $10 for the time we had the bikes. Will definitely come back and rent bikes. Memo to self skip the cruiser and grab the one that you can change the speed. I was actually peddling more then my friend was so my legs got more of a workout.
