The pharmacy team here is excellent. They really care about customer wait times, and work hard to get people taken care of as quickly as possible.

Cannot believe the bad reviews. I met most of the staff b4 covid and I always found them to be the kindest and most non-judgemental pharmacists in LA! I travel to Venice just for them, after having realized how special they are. There aren't many customer service folk in this town who recognize a good customer, but these guys are on it. For being such an iconic ediface while still maintaining that small town feel, but mostly for genuinely caring for their customers, they deserve praise. They ARE a smaller pharmacy, so their phones are always ringing, but most refills can be ordered online now anyway, and for their few faults, seeing their friendly smiles makes the whole experience worth it. Maybe I just seem less crazy in places full of crazies but whatever it is, they've got my business.

The store is fine - small and has basic overpriced stuff. Avoid the pharmacy. Pharmacist literally hung up on me claiming he has not received a prescription that my doctor has a timestamped confirmation of it being received.

Alexander was quite helpful, but I expressed to him my ongoing frustration that I cannot buy black hair care products at this location. I have lived in Venice for over a decade, and throughout that time I have struggled with begging managers at this location to please, please, PLEASE begin to include black hair care products, but to no avail. There is plenty of room in the store to make something like a durag available to Black people who need it as part of our health and beauty regimen. I live in Venice… Why can’t I just walk up the street to my LOCAL store and buy a durag? It’s a simple product. It does not take up much space. I even walked around the store with one of the employees, also named Alex, and expressed to him my frustration, time and time again, that I can’t buy black hair care products at this location. Why not? It’s **not** the size of the store, it’s the intent of its organizers to exclude black hair care products as a way to exclude Black people from this location. You may scoff at that observation, but actions speak ?️ louder than words, and refusing to service black people while showcasing 3 million variants of white-only products sends a STRONG signal to locals that you don’t want black people coming here for our regular needs. You can’t tell me there’s not enough room, when all I see are **scores** of hair care products, intended for white people only. Also, nobody is stupid, so when I look at those white hair care products, and I see one or two pushed to the front of the shelf with 18 inches behind it of empty space, that tells me that you are more interested in providing white people with a variety of products than you are with providing Black people with any at all. I went through that aisle, and I observed the way merchandise is spaced, and there’s absolutely enough room. You can’t include a simple Durag? ??… I spoke at length to the manager about resolving this issue, and he assures me that it may be a struggle because people above him don’t want to extend the reach of black hair care products to this location, because of its size. I hope that’s not the case. I hope people reading this can empower him to serve the community—the FULL Venice community—instead of forcing him to tell us we have to go elsewhere, ad infinitum.

With the exception of Helen, I have had repeated negative experiences with pharmacists. I’m strongly, considering moving all of my prescriptions to a smaller pharmacy, where I will not deal with people that snap at me and say really poor and unhelpful things.

The CVS located at 255 Main St, Venice, CA 90291, people might want to avoid altogether. The staff at (this) CVS are very rude, disrespectful, argumentative, uncaring and could care less if you report them or not, file a complaint against them and they are usually out of products/low product selection... The last rude employee I encountered there, name, is David Smith, another employee there one might want to avoid too. Try the CVS around 26th & Pico Blvd., nice employees... great product selection.

OMG an absolute embarrassment for this company! The front of the store is dirty and worn out, filthy windows, the carpet inside is so dirty and stained up that I can't even imagine a company would continuously do business in this condition. There needs to be some kind of laws for basic standards for a business to be open.
