I love this store and the buyer/owner has a good eye. It's a little pricey but I wear the tops, pants and shifts all the time. I'm glad I had a good return experience because that would have soured my al future shopping but they did the right thing. I was even wearing one of their items (by accident) but it showed that I was a repeat customer. This is the life force of any long term business. Thank you! I'll be back.

I've been in the shop once, and it was a poor experience. Whoever was in the store obviously thought I didn't belong in there, and made it obvious. The product in there is cute, but over priced. I've heard a lot of chatter recently from other people having similar experiences while in the shop- staff making comments about people's financial status, their bodies, their children. I was hoping to try again, but definitely won't. Shop with caution.

Took my toddler son out in the rain to buy Christmas presents here. Was browsing around the store when the lady working here stopped me and asked if I was "just peeking or actually browsing to buy." Shocked, I said I was planning to buy Christmas presents. She told me "well your stroller's tires are wet and I'm by myself," gesturing at the floor. I'm not exactly sure how wet stroller tires are different than everyone else's wet feet, but I got the impression that she didn't want a stoller in the store in general. I told her oh, ok, that's a bummer, I guess I'll leave. Wanted to buy 3 items but I guess I'll take my business elsewhere. Store is not mom friendly.EDIT TO ADD:I took my DRY stroller out of my car, strolled approx 50ft across the parking lot in a light rain to your store. The parking lot is surrounded by SAND. You know the tires weren't muddy and you lied in your response and added that to make it sound worse. You only suggested I dry off my tires AFTER I had turned around to leave (realizing your behavior drove off a customer.) You were not at all polite. I did not storm, in fact I turned around and told you I was bummed because I had planned to buy 3 things, but instead would shop elsewhere. It was very Pretty Woman-esque. Unfortunately, you're the rude shopkeeper character in that movie. Also, do you regularly question your customers about whether they plan to buy anything? That's so rude! Additionally, I'm curious to know if you'd make a person in a wheelchair dry off their wheels as they come in from a light Ventura rain?I shared my experience with a local mom's group. They, too, were shocked at the rudeness I experienced while out shopping. However, as the post grew, many other moms shared their own experiences in your shop. One was told not to touch anything, just look. Another was asked if she could even afford anything in the store. One mom said you called her "big" 2 months after having her baby. Another said you followed her around the store acting like she was going to steal something. With all these awful similar stories I'm not surprised you doubled down on your abysmal customer service with your response to this review.Congratulations on converting an eager paying customer into someone who will forever share their terrible experience with the ridiculous woman from barefoot boutique and warn others to never shop there.

Barefoot Boutique has a reasonably priced selection of fabulous beach attire, from bathing suits and cover-ups, jeans and T-shirts and to a selection of casual evening/party wear! With sizes, colors and styles to fit any body that wants to get into the beachy vibe, it my favorite go to when shopping in Ventura!

I love this store sooooo much. And I love the owner of this store although ive never met her (yet). I love her for having a store that INCLUDES alllll women. You can go in here if you are 20 40 60 or 80 and not only find something that you love, but also something that makes you FEEL lovely. She buys for ALL women. Its not just beautiful stuff its very good quality it's timeless and its priced on point. I love her silk...not sure where she finds it but its glorious. I love clothes that flow behind you as you fabulously walk by...clothes that blow in the wind clothes and look like ART. Whether you are local or just passing thru go to the ventura harbor, go to this boutique and see for yourself. And lastly...fuck "forever 21" ... and fuck whoever named that store. THANK YOU!!

BUYER BEWARE!! So disappointing. Fabulous clothing but awful customer service and return policy. If you are looking for something for yourself - I'd recommend it... but if you want a gift - keep walking. I bought a beautiful coat for my MIL, who lives out of town, for Christmas. The coat didn't fit so we tried to return it for an even exchange. The item still has the tags, had no damage and they acknowledged it was purchased there. But it was past the 10 day return policy - which I wasn't told at the time of purchase. I was told today that "if I read my receipt I would have seen it." Talk about reading the fine print! There was no one authorized to make an exception so I need to buy a replacement gift. And told them I'll be donating the gift to a homeless person in the area so they can be embarrassed about this ridiculous customer service every time they are outside their store. A seemingly simple "even exchange" became an aggravating experience. I believe on - and work hard to - support small businesses, but I will not be a patron at this store again. Such a shame, but not worth the hassle with a staff that lacks authority, inflexible policies for something so simple and no one available by phone to make an exception. Best of luck to this small business owner... you can't afford to lose customers in this economy and you have done exactly that today.

I ran into the owner a few times who is Very Rude! Luckily, she has not been in the store the last few times I have been there Thank God! I always take a peek before I go in just checking if the owner is there, because I would probably hesitate to go in. I love the store it's always a must when I come out to Ventura which is often. It's a little pricey and marked up I have seen the same brand/dress at Marshalls and Amazon for a lot less.

Wouldn't recommend! The owner Liz was very rude and very quick to judge/put down her employees. The environment was very off putting and the prices are ridiculous. Would not recommend.

Do not shop here! Not only are the clothes extremely overpriced, the owner is rude. My daughter was told to come in and train for the job and the owner insulted her by telling her that her back was showing when she bent over ( she was wearing a tee shirt and jeans) and that if husbands come in with their wives they will be looking at her and their wives will no longer shop there. WTF, who would say that to a 17 year old girl! The owner also told her she was folding clothes wrong when it was her first day on the job. Isn't that why she came in for training?! My daughter then said the owner left abruptly and paid my daughter cash for the 3 hours she worked at a measly $12 an hour. What person/ business owner treats their employees like that! Not only will my daughter not be working there, I will make sure I spread the word to all of my friends, family and co workers how she treats her employees and never to shop there. Absolutely disgusting to treat a young girl the way she did!

I have loved this store so much that i bought 14 garments in the last 10 months or so. The buyer knows just what I like! Last month I purchased 6 more garments, including an $80 pair of pants. in just one month the stitching was loose and after one wash the stitching wasn't connected in several areas, and the belt tie was already frayed. I brought them back less than a month later to their Harbor location and per their policy, I needed the tags and i had only 10 days to bring them back and if I made it before those 10 days only a store credit would be granted. That means that if anything falls apart after 10 days, it's yours. They also do not accept exchanges and all sales are final. Just be aware of their policies. ive spent a ton of money there, but no more. Another thing is that all four times I was in there shopping I was like invisible. The girl at the register is glued to the internet. Absolutely no customer service. If I could give it a zero star I would.

Over the last year I’ve purchased over 15 pieces of clothing, agreeing with their policy of no returns accepted. This last weekend i went on another spending spree at their Harbor location and purchased 6 more items. One of the sweaters was soiled, so I went to their other shop at the Collection to purchase it there. I noticed that they had this other sweater I liked a lot better than one of the other sweaters I just bought at the harbor location, so I asked to do an exchange. They wouldn’t even accept doing an exchange and this all happened within one hour. I spent so much money and even though I wanted that sweater, I refuse to give them one more penny. I LOVE their clothes, but not their harsh policies.
