Banking facilities are pretty much boilerplate. They could have competitive hours, although of late most are more accommodating, locations, and excessive fees of course can be a deal breaker. All that being said, what can really set an institution apart, even a bar above the rest, is it's people ~ In person interaction. We were having issues w/a cashier check, from one of our other bank accounts, (a cashier check is supposed to be as valid as cash) so we went back to Chase, where we have numerous accounts, Raul took care of all of all our cash banking needs. He was very efficient, friendly, seemed happy ~ a reflection of his employer, making for a very pleasant experience. This fellow is very young. If he has pride in his work & customer service this early in his career, I'm confident he'll be successful in any endeavor. Chase is lucky to have him.

It's amazing how they coddle the big accounts and nickel and dime the small accounts.

I had a really unfortunate customer experience today at the Chase Branch at 3498 Telegraph Rd, Ventura, CA 93003. My card got stuck in the ATM. I alerted the staff. The first staff member who came out blamed me and said I put the card in wrong, which was insulting. Then she attempted to pull out the card, which wouldn't budge. Then, I was left to guard my card, which was clearly visible in the slot, outside in the rain for 20 minutes, while the staff rebooted the machine. I suggested we use a plier to try to pry it out. Since they didn't have a plier, I had to call my husband to drive across town in the pouring rain to bring a plier, while I stood by the machine. I really needed to use the bathroom, but the manager wouldn't let me because she said it was for employees only, saying I would have to drive over to use the bathroom at a Ross store nearby. I asked her to stand by the ATM, so my card wouldn't be stolen. She said she would keep an eye on it, but when I came back, there was an out of order sign on the ATM, but there was no staff watching out. My husband arrived with some needle nose pliers about 10 minutes later, and I removed the card. When I went inside to use the machine there, the Supervisor was very patronizing, making a point to come over and "show" me how to use the ATM, as if it was my fault my card got stuck in the other ATM, instead of a problem with the equipment. I have a savings account at Wescom, and I'm seriously considering moving my checking account there, too, despite the considerable inconvenience to me.

My husband and I have been Chase Bank customers for over 30 years BUT WE JUST had a miserable experience with Chase Bank Mortgage department which operates in Ohio. We were pre approved for a loan and a closing date was set by Chase Bank. We moved across country to arrive for their closing date. Their mistakes led to a delay in the closing date and costs that we should have never had. We would never recommend anyone to bank with Chase Bank. Not only did they admit to mistakes but they then took NO responsibility for their mistakes. They do not provide their decisions in writing, they do not reply to complaints and no one from "escalation" and "customer service" helped us at all. All "pass the buck". Their entire system is not professional nor interested in the consumer. We will be using other banks from now on.

The customer service here is stellar. I usually would not think to write a review for a bank... but it really always is THAT good. The staff is lovely, kind and pleasant! Thanks for great the great service over the years guys! :)

"Take your money and run". It's Chase who is responsible for closing the accounts of those who express a different or opposing view on various social media sites like Twitter when those opinions don't align with the organization. This isn't something that I tolerate or support regardless of what I feel about the opinion. Today I have closed my account with Chase. I will bank elsewhere.

For our business we bring deposit checks in envelopes. There is always staff in the lobby willing to take the deposits so I don't have to stand in line. When we applied for home equity line of credit the process was painless.

Wait time to see a banker is horrible. They put in the robots in place of tellers, just to hire someone to tell you to use the robot. ??? And that person just stands there and literally has the only function of telling people to use the machine, or sit down. I had to sit and wait. My debit card was missing and I needed a new one. Took over an hour from time I went in to when I left with a new card. Considering a bank switch...i just fear they are all becoming this way.

I had to meet with the manager to deal with my IRA, and the service was very friendly. He apologized for the wait, but since I didn't make an appointment, I had expected a much longer wait. I have been banking here for 8 years, and have no complaints. The manager even made sure I was able to access the new lobby machines to deposit a check. You can still use a real teller if you prefer, and they are always friendly and helpful. As a retired banker, I know training is everything, and I can tell customer service is truly emphasized here.

Manager Maria L was great! Thank you for your excellent service. Went to this branch to finish some paperwork for my dad. We waited quite some time, but what we had to do required some one on one. The manager was with someone else & it was taking awhile but we were prepared for that because she communicated with us. And when it was going to be longer than she thought she again came out to let us know. That was very much appreciated.

Zero stars if I could. Shame on you, Chase Bank. There are still real people who do not use ATM cards to do business and you obviously do not want our business. Three teller stations total and usually only one teller helping all the people in the line. Lobby employees pushing you to use the ATM machine taking up most of the space. Managers who just mull around or hide in the back behind the locked door across from what used to be the business teller. More employees in the cubicles doing what?? What will you do with all that empty counter space now that used to have computers and real people behind them? When will your bank employees realize you're working them out of jobs?

I stopped here to do some quick banking and found the employees to be friendly and there to be no real line. It was quick, easy and the location is clean and easy to find. I also like that although it's next to the transit station, the teller area is not all crazy with bullet proof glass like in some other branches. I guess they only install it if they've had something happen at the specific branch. Anyway it's nice to see/talk to someone without barriers. Good visit.

i have never ever had a bad experience here. everyone is very well informed and nice. i hate doing things over the phone or online (excluding this yelp review, haha), i'm not even very comfortable using ATMs. so i always go inside and speak directly with a chase employee. and i mean a LOT. and they are always so nice.
