The manager sealed the deal, then did not care about my need to size my ring. She also gave me a pair of super cheap bracelets that I took to the kiddie section of the local thrift store. Another item I will not go back to size my ring or buy the protection plan. I don't trust the Daniels Jewelry location in Ventura. Horrible customer service and a complete waste of my time.

Kay jewelers has very poor service along with labor.I bought a Leo ring from them as I was getting married a month from the date of purchase. I really liked that the ring because it was solid and had a good amount of gold all the way around the whole ring even the bottom. It needed to be sized so they put a rush on it. I was very excited. It was done a week later, but the work was terrible. It fit, but the ring was skinny at the bottom where I was particularly happy about before the ring was sized. Also, I could see the cut mark where they made it smaller. It was uneven and sloppy. I was told that the work was poorly done because of the rush on it, and they were sorry. They also said I needed to give it back and that it would take about 3 weeks. That was too close of a deadline to my wedding date. So they said after I got married I should give it back, but then I would be married without a wedding ring. Very poor service and work. Very disappointed with my purchase. Don't shop here unless you don't need it worked on or have a jeweler you can trust on your own to size it. I would never shop here again!!! Also, I made my payment the day it was due and then the next mont called to pay it off and they were so cheap they changed me a $29.71 late fee but it wasn't late. And if I argued the said they would give me an interest fee on the late fee. Wow. So cheap and unprofessional!!

The staff at the store (Ventura) where I purchased the ring were nice and helpful. I bought an wedding set. When I purchased the ring it was on credit with a instance plan. I paid off the ring within 6 months. Since I paid the ring off I decided I did not need the insurance plan any longer. My mistake by not canceling it over the phone with the store. It was charged off since I stopped making the payment for the insurance. After running my credit report I saw a charge off for approximately $500. In an attempt to resolve the situation I called customer service. Big mistake. My wife and I spoke to a very rude female. The female representative basically told my wife who was not on the account to shut up. Even know I told her a few times it was ok for my wife to talk during our conversation. I tried to tell her the outstanding balance was for the insurance not the ring. That I had paid off the ring. She really didn't seem to care at all. I asked her if I paid off the balance then could I use the insurance ? She said No ! It's a charge off ! Then she asked me to hold. When she came back on the phone she said she gave me the wrong amount because of interest. And tacked on another $100 dollars to the amount. Very rude and unprofessional. What made things worse. Shortly before making this phone call, I did have to use another jeweler to fix a diamond that fell out of the ring. I choose to do that because I didn't want to deal with Daniels Jewelry. The jeweler (Jewelry Couture) I used in Ventura was great. Buyer Beware. Find another jeweler.

Second time around and had to come back and get more pieces of jewelry for my collection. Sales representative, Mark, took his time explaining the buying options. Didn't feel pressured or confused. Financing options gives the opportunity to raise your credit score. If you are shopping around for jewelry as for Mark.

If you look up this store anywhere in Ventura county, you see the same terrible reviews. Well before I continue, let me tell you what happened to me and you can form your own opinion on this jewler. I came to get my fiance's ring resized. I had called earlier and was quoted $60 to resize the ring. However, in person, the Representative (balding guy without a name tag) told me it would be $120 to resize. After I told him another Jewler in Ventura quoted me $60, he changed the price to $80. For some reason, he kept thumbing the diamond on my ring and would not hand it back when I extended my hand for it. Instead, he kept talking, trying to upsell me on some random things I was not there for. I agreed to his price of $80 because he said it can get done in a few hours when "the guy" gets to the store in 15 mins, so he can resize it. I asked about cleaning the ring and he said they would clean the diamond ring, free of charge. Soon after, they required me to sign a form that said employees are not liable for stolen/lost/damaged jewelry, pay upfront for the $80, and confirmed he would call me in an hour. I leave the ring and come back 2 hours later because I didn't get a call back that Mark promised... and was a bit suspicious. The Filipino women working there, noticed me and said she was just about to call me because "the guy" came and said the price is now $150. Are you kidding me, DANIELS?! Why would I agree to a price nearly double what I've already paid?! I asked for my ring back immediately. After some time... consisting of Daniel's rep telling me some nonsense reasoning behind the price, they finally gave me my diamond ring back....and in worst condition then I given it to them. The diamond was covered in smudges and it was only after receiving it back, I choose to check reviews on these guys to find they are know to scam people. I asked for the Jewlers Loupe (magnifying glass) to inspect the ring. The Filipino woman asked her coworker, "does that thing work(referring to the tool used to examine the ring)?" She was also having a hard time refunding the $80, stating the machine is having issues. Funny how the machine worked fine when they charged me earlier that day for $80, upfront. After some time, they said the refund should take a few business days. I got my ..Now dirty ..diamond ring, and went to another Jewler. This known Jewler not only cleaned my ring for free, but used a tool to inspect the diamond, helped me fill out the paperwork while explaining it to me, informed me the ring sizing takes 2 weeks, gave me more info on the diamond, did not try to upsell me, was professional and courteous, AND said he could resize the ring for $58. That's right, $58!!!!After checking with yet another reputable Jewler, I confirmed that ring resizing usually takes two weeks and costs about $60. With this knowledge, I can confidently confirm the proven conclusion that Daniels Jewlers: lied about resizing rings time, which they said only takes a few hours, fraudulently tried to give me nearly double the price after already charging me $30 more than the average price elsewhere, were beyond shady when requiring me sign forms they were not willing to explain that waived all liability for jewlery stolen/lost/damaged, but also had the shadiest employees that were not only unknowledgeable about rings and tools of the trade, but just blatently lying l to scam anyone that walks into their store. These scammers are hiding in plain sight. All I know at this point, is that if I dont get my $80 refunded, you better believe I'm coming for you Daniel's Jewlers. Buying a ring and proposing is a special time in two people's lives and here you are taking advantage of good people ready to start a family. You should be ashamed of yourself. It would be easy to just blame the employees, but that's not the only the problem because every Daniel's Jewler in Ventura county has these types of ratings from hard working

Purchased a diamond ring today from the Ventura location. I must say I had a very pleasant experience. I read one review where someone stated they were pushy. I didn’t experience or witness that from any another employee. Everyone was chill, answered all questions, and showed me a bunch of very nice rings. In all, I would recommend this place to my mother just because of the great customer experience. If you are looking for some nice jewelry stop by Daniel’s. Oh, I worked with CHERYL, she was great!

Extremely dissatisfied with my purchase. I bought a gold plated chain for my 3 year old, which was then cut to also make a bracelet. I was told if I paid for insurance it would be free to shorten the chain to a necklace and bracelet. Which was incorrect, they charged me $70 to modify it. The worst part is that the chain is super low quality, after only 5 times of my son wearing his bracelet and necklace it started turning silver. I understand I bought gold plated and not solid gold, but it's for a 3 year old and the solid gold option was over $2,000. The sales representative said that gold plated is also good quality and would last a long time. Obviously it didn't hold up, I took it back and they re-dipped it in gold, which then lasted a total of 5 wear times again before turning silver. Now I'm still paying for something that costed hundreds of dollars that my son doesn't even wear because it looks ugly. I've worn gold plated jewelry before that lasted YEARS. I would warn everyone to stay away from their unfair prices and extremely low quality jewelry.
