Duke's has become my favorite beach bar in all of ventura county. I used to come here to watch football games on sundays. Their friendly staff, fair priced cocktails, and overall ambiance makes it so comfortable and a fun place to unwind. I usually go by myself however, I recently visited last weekend with a friend just for some drinks. I was able to catch some of the sdsu basketball game too! It is always so much fun and I'm looking forward to the next time I visit.

Worst patty melt I've ever had. No flavor, very stale bread, barely any onion! Absolutely horrible. I do not usually leave reviews but I had to because of the ridiculous price they charged me. Upwards of $18 for bad food. Service was good though no complaints there.

Dukes is just........ Dukes. It is a place where every single walk of life convenes over drinks and unassuming but good quality food. It is a locals spot that doesn't hold it against you that you aren't a local - it is a welcoming and pleasant place to spend considerable time. If I had one wish it was that they had a few more healthy options - but their salmon dinner is really, really healthy so I can't complain too much!!! Food is good - staff is amazing!!!!

We went to this place for the first time and we were really in the mood for a tasty burger. Luckily, we found exactly what we were looking for here and it was so delicious! It was a bit chilly outside, so we also ordered a cup of hot chowder to warm us up. We were really happy with the friendly and attentive service we received.

Dukes in Ventura, located not far from the beach on Seaward, remains a longtime family favorite for us, and our recent lunch experience only solidified that sentiment. While the restaurant has evolved over the years, it still retains its laid-back atmosphere, making it a perfect spot for families.With plenty of tables catering to various party sizes, a bar, video games, and a patio, there's something for everyone at Dukes. The counter service setup allows for easy ordering, with food brought to your table once you're seated, while bar drinks are purchased separately at the bar.The menu boasts a variety of options, including burgers, sandwiches, salads, fish, clam chowder, a kids menu, and various sides. During our visit, we indulged in fish and chips, a BLT, a whole ball of wax cheeseburger, and clam chowder, all of which were consistently delicious with no complaints.While the prices for sandwiches and burgers are slightly on the higher side, averaging around $20 per person for lunch, the quality of the food and the convenience of the location near the beach make it worth it. Dukes also offers a great option for those looking to grab food to go and enjoy a beachside lunch.Overall, Dukes continues to be a go-to spot for us, and we'll definitely be returning for lunch in the future.

My family and I recently enjoyed a delightful lunch at Dukes in Ventura, located on Seaward not far from the beach. As a place I've frequented since childhood, Dukes holds a special place in our hearts and remains a family favorite. While the restaurant has undergone changes over the years, it still retains its laid-back atmosphere. With ample tables catering to parties of all sizes, a bar, video games, and a patio, there's something for everyone to enjoy. The counter service system, where you order at the counter and receive a number for your food to be brought to you, adds to the casual vibe. Bar drinks are purchased separately at the bar. The menu boasts a variety of options, including burgers, sandwiches, salads, fish, clam chowder, a kids menu, and various sides. During our visit, we sampled the fish and chips, BLT, While Ball of Wax cheeseburger, and clam chowder, all of which were excellent with no complaints. While the prices for sandwiches and burgers are slightly on the higher side, averaging around $20 per person for lunch, the quality of the food justifies the cost. Plus, Dukes offers a great option for those wanting to grab food to go and enjoy lunch at the beach. Overall, our experience at Dukes was fantastic, and we will certainly be returning for lunch in the future.

My first fish taco was from here nearly 30 yrs ago. It set the bar pretty high and continues to not disappoint. Great menu with burgers, burritos, tacos and the like. Unique homemade crosscut potato chips. Located a stones throw from the beach, it's the perfect place to grab a beer and some lunch! Lot and street parking are free. Prices are reasonable, but the food taste says it should cost much more!
