Very convenient when camping at Lake Casitas and saves a bunch of time. If you forgot anything or didn't pack due to space, you can get it here. They have everything. The place to get fire wood in the park and prices are not really crazy out of line on most items. Shopkeeper seems very nice as well.

For the size, they stock a nice viarety of products that campers might need or simply want.

The store across from Campground F. In Lake Casitas hand punches the total of your purchase to their debit machine. They punched in 43.43 for a 23.43 purchase and I didn't notice til I checked my bank. Not sure if they do this all the time but what a way to make extra cash. People don't check their bank when camping and if they have left the campgrounds and gone home we'll how does one prove the overcharge. BEWARE if you use your card at the store. Check what they put in the debit machine it isn't connected to cash register so they could put in any amount.

This place is a dump. False advertisement, there is no lake.. Just a couple of mud puddles and no fish. Very disappointed. The facilities are outhouses, dirty, trash strewn about and very little sites to choose from as the majority of the lake was closed. Water Park: Again, save your money unless you like being stuck in a watery version of the 405.. in Mexico.. My experience was wretched. Park "policies": When I made the reservation I only wanted one day. A Saturday. I was told reservations require a two day stay regardless of whether you are going to be there or not. I figured, ok.. Its my daughters bday and I want to teach my son to fish.. Why not. When we arrive on Friday to check in, I was in my car as the RV was being serviced. I informed the man at the gate and he proceeded to charge me an additional $14.00 dollars. When I asked what the additional charge was for he said it was "policy" that additional vehicles pay $14.00. I said, okay, that makes sense. However, this is one vehicle, I had just paid $120.00, for the site and this one vehicle would be in the site one night, until the following day, I would be bringing the RV (one vehicle) and leaving the other vehicle at home. After some debate with, Abel (a manager...lol.. hardly). Heinsists if I want to use my camp site this evening either I would be paying an additional $15.00 dollars for my vehicle or my RV that I would be bring the following day. One site, one car. That makes sense. The policy is as such the pass is written once and the park management will not make any exceptions. I get it.. Its only $15.00. Its the principal of it. They nickel and dime the very patrons who keep them open. I will not be back and I highly suggest to anyone else thinking about spending their hard earned money there.

Very poor management and oversight of this campground! If you're seeking a quiet place to camp, be sure to stay during the week, and NOT on a Friday or Saturday. "Quiet time" is supposed to start at 10 PM, but there's no enforcement and the noise on weekend nights is crazy loud and inescapable - - boom boxes at many campsites (which are packed very close together), all playing different types of loud music, plus live music (people singing and playing instruments, and doing neither very well) and karaoke. We stayed in a "tents only" campground, but there was a humongous motorhome parked at one of the sites (against the rules, which aren't enforced), and many sites were occupied by far more than the maximum number of tents, vehicles and people allowed. But my main complaint concerns the bathrooms and shower facilities, and the inconsiderate and slovenly people this campground appears to attract - - is it that difficult to put your toilet paper IN the toilet?? (the bathroom floor was littered with TP!) And what I saw in the showers is too disgusting to describe here - - I can't get the repulsive image out of my head. I tried to find someone in "Guest Services" or the park ranger's office to request that they send someone to clean the shower area, but there was no one around (in the afternoon!). And although I was told that there were hot showers and token machines at two shower facilities (one by the main entrance/water park and the other in the Jay campground, we were annoyed to find out that the showers at the latter have neither hot water nor a place to buy tokens, so (unless you're ok with a very cold shower), there's only one useable shower facility (which has 5 shower stalls, in an unpredictable state of cleanliness and is located a few miles away from most of the camping areas) for more than 400 campsites (although the many house-sized motorhomes people "camp" in have their own showers). Tokens are $1.00 for 4 minutes of shower time. On the positive side, we had a nice view of the lake from our campsite in the Grebe campground, boating on the lake was fun ($80 for 2-5 hours in a 14-foot motorized boat), and the campground is a short drive from Ojai (a very lovely place to visit).

My husband and I checked in on a Tuesday and the park was super quiet. Beautiful lake but our site was not overlooking water. Our pad was dirt and was level. We have plenty of space but this site (B21) only had water and electric; did not have sewer hook up but there is a dump station nearby. of course there are sites that have full hook up. The park is beautiful and clean, great walking area, and perfect location for exploring Ojai, Ventura, and Carpenteria. Scenery is spectacular, cool to hear all the birds, staff very attentive. Very popular with boaters and fisherman. Our visit was Tuesday to Sunday and even though it was fully booked over the weekend and noisier than during the week, it was kind of nice to have the background noise of families having a great time. They have boat rentals available and a little café as well as a park store. Every site has a picnic table and a fire pit. We loved it! For us, this is a gorgeous portion of California.

Was camping over the weekend, lots of facilities and a camp store. The campsite has a picnic bench and a firepit and a flip over grate. Lots of fingers in the lake to explore. We rented a pontoon boat and toured the area. Saw a young deer swimming across the lake. Our camp site was in Osprey area.

Wow! Maybe the nicest and cleanest park store I have been to. The attendant was so nice too. And the ice cream selection made my whole family happy!

Well for one if some one is Handicapped treat them a little better. My brother who has leg braces and can walk short distances wanted to see if he could maneuver the area for fishing. Needless to say even to look we were told it would cost $10. No matter what. We had to drive up a ways and try to look with binoculars off the side of the road above the lake. And try not to get hit by traffic. Stupid, lame and completely unreal. So In case you've never been and want to check things out get ready to fork out your $10.00 for your lookie lol fee. For my brother who drove 8 hours to visit me and then be treated this way was kinda embarrassing for me because on the way up all I could do was sing the praises of this Lake. We're giving it 1 more chance and will try to salvage the fishing trip. But so far we are not impressed with the treatment we recieved.
