This review is about Denise who is in charge of adnitting. I first called this location on,Aug 10, 21 for help. I spoke to the Operator/Secretary. I was told that I would need to speak to Denise, she is charge. She wouldn't be back until next wk (the 18th). So, I called & left a message since I didn't get her. I called again the next day & left another message...just in case she didn't get the first message. I called for the last time that Fri. I was told that she had an open house the day before. The lady transfered me again to her office. No answer. I still haven't gotten a call back! I'm deeply saddened that when I turned to the Salvation Army for help (this location) they just ignored me! I have donated a full bed, coffee table, chairs, end tables, sofa & love seat, a vacuum, etc...!! Now that I NEED help the person at that location didn't even have the decency to return my call. I don't think that I would donate ANYTHING else to the Salvation Army. They post on their site that they help the community & they're God fearing. Apparently the Ventura location doesn't/isn't.!! SAD!

In a time when there are more questions and concerns than there are answers…. I personally MUST GIVE Ventura’s Salvation Army staff most especially Mrs. Sheri Ray who facilitated my rental assistance needs and required documentation the BIGGEST and MOST HEARTFELT THANK YOU for the time, professionalism, and most of all your compassion and support. I will NEVER forget nor take lightly your helping hand with my July rent. . I not only was heard but walked away motivated and rejuvenated to tackle the hurdles life and funds during this trying period which I am optimistic will soon be somewhat normalized but effectively. You all are angels through and through…..May out Heavenly Father continue to bless each and everyone of you and add bountiful blessings to our local Salvation Army Organization..I am so very blessed ….you All were that blessing this month of July 2021.We will all get through this together.Most Grateful,Delores Peterson

I Just Called Today February 3, 2021 Because Me & My Brother Had GOTTEN a 60 Day Notice & Right Away She Said She Couldn't Help, And Then I Asked Why Then "Denise Adams" Gone Say They Couldn't Help Because We Dont Have Unemployment. WHY would anyone need your help with rent if we were getting unemployment ? Goes To Show You Can't Find Help Nowhere, Even In The Places Designed To Help??? Sad World.

Very nice place @ first glance & people that stay @ the place! Hospital sent me to pathway recuperative care they can be hard to get information about your experience here so I can't say enough about it just a few days in already been reprimanded about having snacks in my room to eat but I haven't received any rules. Not to bad but I am very sensitive! Surprised no one else has posted about this place hope that I don't get me in trouble! Upon my arrival my medical records were taken from me without my knowledge & weren't given back till the moment I left the place; (after looking over them later I noticed that a page was ripped out from the packet from the hospital printed out for me)I repeatedly asked for the them & weren't given them. A prescription to keep me from getting shingles was stolen from me by staff when my room was moved(your not supposed to be moving your room), I had chemotherapy that depleted my immune system & needed that medicine. I didn't realize that it's used for people who have herpes. Now I have to get a new print out from the hospital & see what they tore out & go with out my medication for a month. I missed multiple meals because I was just restarted on medications that all cause drowsiness & you better not be late or the people on the salvation army side will complain about having to serve you. Their people who reside on their side also complain about being our slaves because they have to do chores that involves cleaning up after the pathway sides people also. I was explained that by one of their residents. I didn't know any of that. Some other items were taken from me & never returned. Staff will just walk in to your room @ any time may or may not knock I wasn't dressed oynce as they threw the door open visible to the smoking area. You have to exit your room daily so it can be cleaned & your bed stripped & re-made. I can't wait to see if I am charged for the stay awaiting my Medicare statement. Last couple days there I was informed that there's a curfew.
