“It’s a fun store but can be hit or miss. The prices are great—everything under $5 (or $10 for some items)—and they have a lot of trendy gadgets, snacks, and school supplies. It’s perfect if you’re looking for something cheap and cute. The downside is that the store can get really messy and crowded, and sometimes it’s hard to find what you’re looking for. Some items feel low quality, which isn’t surprising for the price, but it can be disappointing if you were expecting something that lasts. Overall, Five Below is fun for quick, inexpensive finds, but don’t go in expecting high-quality products or a super organized store.”
Dollar General opened its 20,000th U.S. store on February 24th in Alice, Texas. It’s a major milestone for the discount chain that started as one small general store back in 1955. Starting with a ribbon cutting ceremony, the grand opening celebration began at 9am. First customers received some freebies - tote bags filled with free product samples and snacks from DG's Clover Valley brand.
