Ventura Pier is a charming coastal landmark in California, boasting stunning views and a rich history. Built in 1872, it is one of the oldest wooden piers on the West Coast and offers a timeless experience. Visitors can enjoy sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean, the Channel Islands, and the picturesque Ventura shoreline, making it a perfect spot for photography, especially during sunrise and sunset. The pier's rough and weathered surface adds to its character, though it may pose challenges for strollers and wheelchairs, so flat shoes are recommended. Nearby restaurants, such as Beach House Tacos, provide delicious options for a meal with a view. The area is also ideal for fishing, and onlookers can spot seagulls and pelicans along the way. With amenities like benches and clean restrooms, Ventura Pier is designed for comfort. Free parking is available nearby, making access easy for everyone. The blend of natural beauty and historical significance makes Ventura Pier a delightful destination for both locals and visitors alike, offering a relaxing space to watch the waves, enjoy the breeze, and create lasting memories.
Went a few day after Christmas, the weather and temperature was amazing, as well as the sunset views.

One of the most beautiful sunsets I have seen on this palm-tree lined pier/beach. Water reflecting the color of the sky; the view is awesome!
