Vons was nice and clean. I always post gluten free stuff so people get a general idea. Lots of options for gluten free baking via the box. There’s also freezer section and bread that is gluten free. Not one of the bigger Vons but good enough for what you need!

I needed to use the restroom before I started shopping. Normally at Vons they just give you the code but this worker only unlocked it for me with their key.. While using the restroom I heard everyone else enter with a code. I feel somewhat discriminated against and offended that I wasn’t just given the code like everyone else.

Juan from the Deli was very helpful! I drove in from Santa Barbara to purchase the ReadyMeals, The Jamaican Jerk Chicken is my absolute favorite unfortunately not all Von's offer ReadyMeals. Juan patiently answered all my questions and if this store didn't have something, he would redirect me somewhere that did. Thank you so Juan!

This Vons has the most absolute horrible management. If I spend $5. at 7/11 or Arco, I get a big "Thank You" AND a smile. Spend a 100.PLUS dollars at this VONS consistently and you don't even get a THANK YOU and forget about a smile, it's non-existent too! The brown haired manager lady and check-out staff are without a doubt the worst. 'Customer Service' is not in their vocabulary - Hey folks, walk thru TRADER JOES on Mills for FIVE MINUTES, they do everything you don't do (and they seem happy and pleasant, not depressing) - it's not complicated folks, and it COSTS ZERO! VONS needs to clean house in this store.

11/28/23 can always find interesting premade dishes in the deli dept. Love their desserts but the dairy. About the only place I can find the cat litter my cats like11/23/2022They are pretty much the same, very clean. Today is the first time I've seen it crowded, obviously because of Thanksgiving.I've never seen such a clean grocery store as this one. The floors were so clean they were super bright. Hardly any one there must be an off time for this particular store. But a lot better than the one on Main St downtown.

I still LOVE Vons on Thompson. I have been shopping here for nearly 25 years. I LOVE the employees. They are friendly, welcoming, helpful, and greet me with kindness and familiarity. Shopping at Vons with the app on my phone is an absolute MUST! First of all the more you shop, the more rewards you earn. You can earn $10 + off your groceries. This always makes me smile. Hubby loves the gas rewards at Chevron. I love the weekly free items that I can get using the app. Some of the items I received for free, I have never tried before. We have been buying some of these brands over and over. We love the deli! I like the chicken tenders and the bowtie pesto pasta. Hubby likes the ham sliced to order and the fried chicken. We also love the produce section and the meat department. The meat department will help you find the meat if it isn't out on display. They will also give cooking and seasoning advice. My favorite thing right now is the stuffed boneless chicken for $5 each. This is my go-to purchase when I want to buy something healthy and I lack time for preparation. The produce department is awesome. My neighbor, Eric, works there. He will always help me find items like Sundried tomatoes, jackfruit, etc. He is so kind!!! When the new weekly ad comes out, I always search for what is the item for Throwback Savings. I am grateful for the discounts. I love the management and all of the staff. P.S. On 20% alcohol discount days, you can preorder wine or 750 ml. alcohol and they will save it for you.

I had the most incredible experience today that I just have to share with all of you. It's moments like these that restore my faith in humanity and make me appreciate the little things in life. Today, I witnessed something truly remarkable at Vons on Thompson. On October 21, 2023, as I walked into the store, I noticed a woman who seemed to be in distress and in need of help. It was heartwarming to see how two employees, Maria and Donae, immediately sprang into action. Their kindness and respect towards this woman were truly awe-inspiring. Not only did they assist her with whatever she needed, but they went above and beyond their duties. They not only cared for her but also ensured that the store was clean and orderly. It was a sight to behold, and I couldn't help but feel grateful for Vons for hiring such incredible individuals. In a world where we often get caught up in our own lives, witnessing this act of compassion reminded me of the power of empathy and the importance of lending a helping hand. It's these small acts of kindness that make a big difference in someone's life. I can't express enough how grateful I am to have witnessed true humanity in the most unexpected place. Vons on Thompson has truly created a small-town feel market in the heart of this big city.
