So I must confess i'm a bit of a surf shop groupie. I love surf shops! Even though i don't surf! Part of me wants to connect with southern california youth culture and I love finding new brands that even my young sons don't know about. So i'm always curious about surf shops and eager to check it out. Unbeknownst to me this place is of historic significance. I was greeted by a very friendly (and glassy eyed) surfer dude who showed me around and offered a brief history of the shop. Think Jeff Spicoli... The line up of boards are impressive and masterfully constructed. A really great place to visit and if you're in the market for a board i highly recommend checking them out.

I've bought a couple magic model boards from Steve and Jarrod. I'm hard on my boards and these guys always step up with high quality repair work. They ride like butter and turn way better than other long boards.

I contacted Walden Surfboards in September 2020 as they advertise custom builds. They would not build me a custom RWST. Brandy said they were too busy and maybe would do something for me after the holidays. She said I could only purchase boards that matched their blank inventory. Sounds like "bait and switch" to me. Well, it's now after the holidays so I messaged her again asking for a custom RWST and no reply. I just had Rusty, Channel Islands and Hobie custom build me 3 boards without any hesitation.

Well with Covid I was never able to go into the store and check out the boards and the merchandise but however I visited the website and I purchased my first surfboard from Walden it was easy and if you needed any help they where there to help. I bought a surftech 8'0 mega magic and got my son a 8'6" magic model tuflite. When I went to pick it up Jared was really nice and helpful. Great boards great help highly recommend checking out Walden surfboard who knows you might just fall in love with his boards. I did.

Stopped outside the shop and ordered a board (9'0 Surftech Magic Model Tuflite) online for curbside pickup on Tuesday afternoon. They had it set up with fins and out to me in 15 minutes so I could get right out to surfing. Friendly staff and the board rides great!

Great selection of boards from one of the best shapers around. Steve is a natural artist and has an amazing eye for color and design. I also purchased a paddle board that I am really enjoying. The retail store is set up nicely with modern displays and a great selection of accessories and clothing and hats etc. The staff here is chill, informed and friendly.

I went to get my surfboard repaired driving up from LA. I showed up at Walden's shop in Ventura Sunday morning and they were closed - I'm sure I was the one confused about the hours and days they were open. I called the store parked outside, and they said hold on a minute - Steve himself opened up the store to take my board for repairs! I picked up my board 5 days later - flawless repair! I am so grateful and happy to have my favorite board back. You all rock! You are the heart and soul of surfing. I cannot thank or recommend them enough!

This is my wife's latest custom board from Walden Surfboards. They did an awesome job printing a picture of her on the board from Maslin beach in Australia. Steve and his crew are fantastic craftsmen. Thanks again Steve, Jarrod and the gang for a great job!
