“I had a major issue with my Tesla Model S — the key fob stopped working and wouldn't read. I had to resort to using the Tesla phone app, but when my phone stopped working too, I was completely locked out of the car.
Tesla service couldn't figure it out and was puzzled. A friend suggested it might be the keyless entry antenna, so I called Basic Auto Parts and spoke with Eddie. Eddie to get this part. He 0turned out to be an incredible resource.
He told me that if it wasn't the keyless entry antenna, it could only be the Keyless Transfer Module, and that it would need to be rebooted. Eddie clearly knew what he was talking about. He also recommended a guy who worked on Tesla's and recommended I call him if I could not install it myself
In short, Eddie listened carefully, was honest, and was incredibly knowledgeable — he helped immensely.
When the tech he recommended was having trouble locating the module, I called Eddie back. He went out of his way to help once again, sending over a video of exactly where the part was located, saving us a lot of time and frustration.
That kind of service is extraordinary. Not many people — especially those who genuinely care about their customers — go that far at any auto parts shop. And he did it after the shop was already closed, going the extra mile for a customer in need.
