Dont bother joining the back to work program here, the office staff are rude and condescending.

-1 star because of Mary Elise Escarsega-Fechner's position on the CalCAPA Board of Directors.
If staff are anything like I've experienced everywhere else in social services,

I just want to put a review something I never do. I went in today with my son and four gransons. They were fast, courteous, and efficient. If you need help these folks will go the extra mile to help. Thank you CSET for helping this grandma when she needed it the most. 🙏🙏🙏

Once you submit an application for a specific job & attend orientation, how long are the job applications valid? If not received a phone call for work in 30 days do we have to reapply or just continue to wait for a phone call ?

Completely useless program. Absolutely no help whatsoever. The energy funds need to go to an agency that doesn't pick and choose who they WANT to help.

Stressful work environment high turnover due to lack of training and poor leadership. PSH Case Managers are unable to help their clients succeed because of the hurdles their leads leads create. Unable to network with other agencies freely causing hardship for PSH clients.

Hope all is well with everyone. Just wanted to drop a quick review for potential candidates. I am an Asian candidate with three advanced degrees (two bachelor’s degrees from the University of California system and MBA from a California State University).I was contacted by their HR (Angie Ramirez) who left a message that was difficult to understand as she spoke so fast. I called them back and from my Indian accent, they were able to discern that I am not the type of “Tony” they were expecting (i.e. a latino).Generally, I’ve used an Anglo name to be considered for certain jobs, especially those organizations with a heavy latino staff as latinos only consider “diversity” when it’s other latinos, not other white or black or Asian candidates.Bottom line: If you are not latino, don’t apply to this nonprofit as you won’t be given fair consideration. How can you if affirmative action gives latinos preferential treatment in schools and jobs? But don’t I have bills and a mortgage to pay as well? I’ve applied to work abroad in China as other countries respect education more than the U.S. does.Be well.

Hello to all, I seldom write reviews, but my hope is that anyone who reads this will be informed. And anyone considering employment CSET, do not waste your time and become a victim as I wasI worked at the Douglas facility and the first day observed countless safety and health observations. No regard for employee's safety. They do not provide their employees with required by law personal protective equipment. I wasted countless hours in the director’s office listening to her complain why her employees do not respect or trust her. She made absolutely false statements about me to the HR director. And without verification of the truth, I was terminated. When I asked why I was being terminated. The HR director rudely stated that she did not have to tell me. As a result of her vindictive nature, she did provide me with the proof, in writing, I needed to file a lawsuit for defaming my character.I was informed by my attorney that Defamation is an illegal act. I believe I was a victim of the director and the HR director.I was embarrassed and humiliated by the management. Even the day before I was terminated, I was praised by my work by the very person who made false statements. (No wonder the position has been vacant for 4+ years).I can honestly tell you this is not an isolated incidence. It seems to me that management has no regard for employee's rights.I have received countless similar stories regarding questionable management practices at CSET.

Back in the 80s, the Tulare county juvenile hall used to sit where the new cset headquarters is, here on N. W. 3rd. I was an inmate there - 13 times.
