I had been a tenant of Derrel’s on Caldwell and Santa Fe for about 4 years or so. This facility is CLEAN!!!!! Quiet. Relaxing. I have always enjoyed the vibe at this facility. It’s bittersweet to have to go but I thank you Derrel’s!!!! I even left with a full refund for one month (without expecting one of course) because I pay in advance and it had slipped my mind that I was prepaid upon moving out. I REALLY appreciate this and was pleasantly surprised with the amazing customer service I received. Thank you to Marion & her supervisor for making the process smooth and easy. 10/10 recommend Darell’s for all your storage needs.

Facilities are clean, but prices have crept up over the years. Even if you're a long-time customer in good standing, you're never grandfathered into your current price when rates are raised. Ever since they changed their online system, payments and billing has been a mess (hard to understand what you're being charged for, not consistent with previous quarterly payment schedule, can't pay via mobile, can't enroll in auto-pay via mobile).

Derrels and the staff have always been so wonderful! Even though the changes in software that can be frustrating the staff takes the time to explain and troubleshoot to find solutions for navigating payments and online access. So far I am liking most of everything about Derrel's mini storage. I feel confident that my stuff is safe and secure especially with the mandatory insurance we get at registration. And the customer service is really awesome. The people that I have dealt with so far have been exceptionally professional and knowledgeable as well as being friendly and easygoing. I watched one lady deal with an irritated customer without raising her voice or getting frustrated and with a smile . The only problem I have is with the rule they gave me about not going thru your stuff there in the storage. They want me to pick it up and take it somewheres else, go thru it and then bring it back. I have no car and I have CHF, so I can't carry anything. I don't know how I'm gonna manage with that rule but I will. I also want to mention that they have been very understanding when it comes time to pay the bill. Their 10 day grace period is a life saver.
