We were 8 min before they close at 7 and the guy on the office told us that we cannot go in anymore because they were about to close , they have a stupid rule of not letting people in 10 min before they close. Wow!!! I wish they can get a minus stars on reviews

My husband and I rented a unit with this facility for over 2 years. We were ALWAYS on time with our bill, and in fact, enrolled in auto pay. When we initially rented this unit we were ASSURED that if we closed our unit prior to the end of the month,(from the 7th to the 7th if each month th was our schedule), that our payment would ne pro-rated. My husband cleared out the unit on February 9th, just 2 days into our monthly rental. When my husband asked for the pro-rated money back, the clerk told him, "oh, we have a new system. We can't do that anymore. " They FAILED TO TELL US THIS! Had we been advised of their new policy change, we would have closed it on the 7th! This is a VERY shady billing practice! So they got our money for the entire month, (when we only used 2 days) so they can now rent it out again, thereby double dipping.I honestly feel that this billing practice is criminal. We were billed for a service which we did not FULLY RECIEVE.Word to the wise use a mom and pop storage rental. DO NOT BE SCAMMED BY DERRELS. If you must rent from them, DO NOT ENROLL IN AUTOPAY!I'm so glad to be out of that storage facility AND CA! Dirty business ???

My monthly bill started on the 7th. On the 9th I cleaned out the storage that I paid on for fourteen months. No refund was given to me for the rest of the month. Person at the desk said under the new system they dont pro rate monthly bills. No bother about the money I spent with Derrels. Typical California business.....always out to hammer the consumer. Glad I got out of that state...

Like this place but, it closes to early and bathrooms weren’t very clean - I think they are kinda pricey - but at least it’s a safe place to keep my stuff and they are great at patrolling and keeping the area clean - nice people run it
