I have used the other care and now this care at the court yard and they are COMPLETELY DIFFERENT! Care at the court yard was one of my worst experiences and the girls there were nothing but rude. I had to take my animal in and paid $400 just for 2 slides X-rays to be done for them to say that they didn't show anything anyways. Then pay even more for oxygen support and multiple other things for them to put him down the same night. Then it took 4 weeks to get his paw which is weird because Iv never had to take that long. Along with this it seemed like they didn't even care about it. All the gIrls I spoke to were rude and would hang up as soon as they were done talking. When I would have a follow up questions just a horrible experience to pay close too $1,000 and not even leave with my animal.

After 30 plus years of using Care ,since their original location ,and spending Thousands of $$$ on our kids, were done. Have always had great care and the dogs have been treated with loving passion! Thank you for that. Had one of our girls in being checked for her back . Did X-Rays and a full blood work up as suggested. Did not ask the cost or care to see the estimate , which was my mistake! After 20 years I knew the cost would be fair. After I paid the bill , I realized how stupid of me to not know the cost. $450 plus for an hour visit. Thought that was crazy amount & Called another local clinic that been in business over 30 year I know. Ask their price on exact same items that we were billed at Care and $200 less. Called and explained to office Mgr and they were sorry to lose our business but nothing they could do. Not going back was our choice because they were always good to us. Today in the mail, received a letter stating the Drs were no longer willing to provide care for the dogs ! We had changed Vets already and had let them know we were changing and for the reasons. Not being rude or nasty about it at all just a financial decision. This letter was totally unprofessional ,hence the review now on YELP! NOT VERY NICE CARE AT THE COURTYARD

It's been a long time since my last review. This has been my vet for over a decade now. Most of the staff is great and they always take care of my dogs. I've had a cancerous tumor removed, teeth extracted, numerous tests done, all spay and neuters and multiple other visits and have never left unsatisfied. When money was tight, they worked with me. When I've been on the verge if tears worried about my dogs, they've done everything to assure me my dogs were good. They always try to fit me in when my dogs get sick. They are able to handle my husky who is a big baby and my mutt who has severe trust issues from being dumped before i saved him. When my dog passed away at the emergency vet, they sent me a card. If you are looking for a quick/cheap fix for your pets, this probably isn't the place for you. But when your pets are your family and you want the best care possible, then Care at the Courtyard is your place!

PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE I took my dog in with my mom and they did X-Rays on my dog and told my mom and I we needed to do EXPLORATORY SURGERY because there was a blockage in her intestines. My mom is an RN and said there isn't a blockage the Dr. Proceed to tell my mom they needed to do the surgery that'd be 2,000. We waited a couple days and my dog was FINE. No blockage. The next visit my family took was just my sister and my dog. My sister came home in TEARS because the doctor was telling her she needed to run all these tests and my sister asked to call my mom because she can't make that financial call and they asked her if she even cared about her dog. SHE TRIED TO GUILT HER. my mom proceeded to call and RAISE hell about this. My next experience; I called to find out what a rough estimate would be to get my dog spaded. She has been there previously, they know my dog. They know her weight, her size, etc.. THEY TOLD ME I HAD TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT TO GET AN ESTIMATE. when I asked them how much it cost to get an estimate they said 49.00. 49.00 to just see how much it'd be to get my dog fixed so she doesn't have little puppies we can't take care of. I said "there's no way I can know if it's going to be over 300 dollars? " she responded with "the Dr. will not allow us to give estimates like that over the phone I'm sorry." I was going to hold off on reviewing this place because I REALLY wanted to like this place, but I gave it multiple tries and they've reached the third strike. They really want money. PLEASE AVOID THIS CLINIC

Love this place! I've never waited, they call you back right away. The doctors and nurses really take the time to listen to all your questions and concerns. I really felt like they cared! I love that they give the shots in the room with you, precious vets would take my dog back so i never knew how they reacted. The front staff are amazing and organized and thorough. They discuss the prices of everything and didn't make me feel pressured or bad for things I didn't want to purchase.

We have had 3 appts with Care at the Courtyard. The first to get 3 dogs checkups, shots etc. Everything went very well and we were pleased with their care. The 2nd visit was when one of the dogs was expressing pain when touched on his backside. I was very uncomfortable when the vet scooped him up and left the room coming back ten minutes later to say he was fine. Three days ago my husband called to make appt for same dog for suspected ear infection. He was told they were busy that day was given an appt for next day and asked if they had a cancellation could they call him? He shows up for appt and is told an appt came available the previous day and that I had been called and voice mail left and since no reply the appt he was there for was canceled. ??? I received no call or voicemail. He talked to manager Jessie this morning and now we're told that I was spoken to on the phone. And while Jessie apologized for the misinformation at no point would she accept what my husband was saying or even offering for my dog to be seen. So he told her we would find another vet and she told him to let her know so she could forward his records. Ok just remember you're not the only game in town.

If I could give this zero stars I would. Worse clinic ever!!!!! I took my Rottweiler in for a rabies shot today and the vet was too scared to even examine my dog. I even put a muzzle on him and she was still too scared. Maybe she should find a different profession. If she is too scared to examine a dog maybe she shouldn't be a vet.

Waaaaaaayyyy over priced. Care at the Courtyard gave me a pre-op bill of 1200.00 for a dental cleaning and 1 extraction for a 25 pound dog. 787 for cleaning 400 per tooth for extractions my daughter had a wisdom tooth extracted 3 months ago for 600. i took my dog to the affordable animal hospital in Torrance ca... 194 for the cleaning 20-40 for any extraction. Also, care at the courtyard wouldn't give me prices over the phone.. they require an office visit to quote dental cleaning prices....once i was there? they wanted to charge me 511.00 for an office visit.

Yesterday my precious rescue crossed the rainbow bridge after her courageous battle with Degenerative Myelopathy for 3 years. Euthanizing ones pet is so difficult and should not have been even more devastating that my experience yesterday. My dog deserved better. Once we entered the room, the first thing mentioned was money!! As if that wasn't sickening enough, the two attendants in the room saying 'Aww- how cute 'my dying dog was lying there as I sobbed. And even offering her a treat. I could not believe it!! Never again shall I use or recommend this facility! The Vets and manager please educated these young techs on death and dying.

I have been bringing my pets to care at the courtyard for years! I have always received amazing care. I'm finally getting around to writing the review after they did something nothing short of a miracle. One of my foster kittens was spayed (at a different vet through the rescue). I did not feel comfortable after seeing her incision. The next day she was acting strange and didn't look good. I took her back to the vet that performed the spay and one quick look and they said she was fine. I still felt uneasy... the next day I thought this is enough and took her to my vets at Care at the Courtyard. They immediately took her back to ultrasound her swollen abdomen. They watched her, did labs, and she was in kidney failure. They believed the last vet had stitched her urethra and she was blocked. They did emergency surgery and that is exactly what they found. It had already been two days so scar tissue had already formed... they couldn't get a catheter through. We thought all hope was lost, but they didn't give up. The vets rallied together to give her a fighting chance. She has a recovery ahead of her, but without the knowledgeable vets here my sweet foster kitten wouldn't be here. The vets here are compassionate and knowledgeable. I wouldn't take my pets anywhere else.

Hugo Boss is a naughty pug who came to the vet for some eye issues. The front office was able to get us in same day & we are thankful because eye issues can become worrisome quite quickly. Everyone up front has been professional, kind & were able to get our records from the previous vet since we had just moved to the area from Newport Beach. The technicians work efficiently & gathered a thorough patient history. Dr. Johnson was knowledgeable, fair and spot on in her diagnosis. I feel this veterinary office treated our pup like one of their own. As a former ER veterinary technician I can sense when a good veterinary practice is around and Care at The Courtyard is just that! Their prices are fair for services rendered and I appreciate the professionalism of staff. The lobby and exam rooms are also very clean which is a huge bonus. Thank you all!

I have taken a couple of my animals here. Really liked the vets. My last visit was for a rescue dog we got. Took him in for neuter. By the time I got out of there my bill was over $500.00. I ask for a prescription for the heartworm and flea and tick meds so I could get them on line cheaper next time. Then I was told his booster for doggy flue shot would only cost for the shot no office visit. When I went to get the booster they charged me for office visit. Said the vet looked at him while they had him in the the back for a minute and a half. I questioned about the office visit charge. They did remove the visit charge but now I have a letter from them telling me don't ever come back to either of their clinics they done want our business. Guess your not suppose to question their charges ever. No problem. I always thought they were way over priced compared to other vets anyway.

We love care at the Courtyard! No matter what the situation they always are there to help us, we have not had a bad experience with any buddy in the whole office! Love all of the doctors and the front counter people as well as every vet tech! We know our pups are in safe hands when they are there!

I wish I could give negative stars. Last fall I took my female Bullmastiff in for an X-ray. She was pregnant and I wanted to see what to expect. This was her first litter. The office made it very obvious that they where not happy I didn't spay her. I had bought her for breeding I have a male and I waited till she was old enough. I just live the breed. This was my first experience with a pregnant dog. She had 15 plus pups that you could see. No one said hey that's to hard for her she needs a c-section. She went into labor on the next Monday the X-ray was a Friday. She labored 3 days I called and asked how long should she be in labor. Wasn't given a clear timeline. No one walked me thru what to expect. She was in labor so long that 3/4 of the pups died do to asphyxiation. I brought her in on day 3 with the living pups. They checked her to make sure the placentas had all passed and no more pups. She was not doing well. They said she had pyrometria and needed a 2,000 surgery or I could take her home to die and they didn't have the decency to call and make sure she lived. She did fine recovered well. I took her in to my new Vet for a spay last week on the 1st and now she is dead. Care of the courtyard was so incompetent during there ultrasound of her that they missed the dead puppies. My vet said when he opened her up she had bones from the pups everywhere, lesions and an enlarged spleen I had to put her down she wouldn't have made it home if we tried to fix it. So thanks to care at the Courtyard Veterinary Clinic my baby is dead. And to top it off they never even had the compassion or decency to check on her when I took her home. Don't go here they are only there for your money not the care or compassion of your beloved pet.
