I took my dog to a vet in Fresno, and they refused to put him to sleep despite kidney failure because "he looked happy and healthy and he is too young(2-1/2)" mind you he was sick, and shaking and not in good shape visibly. I called this pet hospital, and they took wonderful care of us. They told us what they could do for us and my dog, and they wouldn't promise anything over the phone, but will give us an evaluation and let us know. They were very patient with us as distraught and emotional pet parents. My boy went to sleep peacefully and the vet tech was wonderful, gave us as much time as we needed. I pray I don't have to, but I'd take my other pup back if here if I had to.

I am so thankful for this vet, we had to take our dog Noel in on a Friday night after another vet gave us not so positive news, needless to say I was a mess when I walked in here and the staff could not have been more professional and compassionate. The vet was very reassuring knowledgeable and made us feel like everything was going to be okay exactly what my panicked mind and heart needed. The customer service we received from the front office ladies and the techs who we spoke to each time we called was exceptional. I am forever thankful to them for helping our Noel and for treating us so well.

Took our dog here tonight and could not be happier with the vet care we received. Prices are always higher at 24/7 vets but theirs were relatively reasonable. There was a little confusion about deposits and payment but I care most about the vet care and that was great.

Everyone there who helped get our little Rourke better. We truly thank you all. She is doing so much better, eating and drinking on her own and playing.

I loved the hours of operation and didn't have to wait very long. Left armed with all of the necessary information and medical supplies to get my pet back to health.

One I would like to thank this office from the bottom of my heart . I literally have tears in my eyes writing this review. Dr Randy Castanaza is truly fulfilling what he was placed on this earth to do no doubt in my mind. I relocated from a larger City and let me tell you hands down I would have to say he the definition of a top notch vet. From his demeanor to his thoroughness you can truly tell his heart and soul is in helping hurting sick and suffering animals make it to the other side. Ive taken two different Frenchies to him over the last couple of years. Yesterday unfortunately I had to take my baby Amira in with what was and still is a serious situation that involve her lungs. It's never easy to hear that your animal is knocking at deaths door but when sitting with him his energy reassures you that if she can make it he will to do anything humanly possibly to return your animal to you. I do have to say they have a HORRIBLE office manager who belongs no where near a place that is suppose to be aiding animals and their let's ina emergency. Please don't get her mixed up with the receptionists they both are amazing. The "office manager though " threaten to call animal control on me for abandoned after I payed a upfront bill of 2,400 when I was a hr and half late picking my animal up. I gladly paid the late fee and offered to pay both employees for the hours they had to stay over due to me crying all night and over sleeping my alarm. She terminated me as a client and was annoyed she had to come in her day off when I did not ask her to I simply asked for her information so I could contact her later in the day to address something with her. Since this was a over night vet my Amira was transfer just around the concern to be placed back in a oxygen chamber when 5 o'clock came Dr Peterson (someone who is also one of a kind ) let me know Amira probably would not survive the drive to Fresno which has the only other oxygen chamber in the Central valley . I was devasted and as a last ditch effort I called Tulare kings in tears pleading to let my dog back into their oxygen chamber for another over night stay lucky since the rotten apple had her day off they had me rush he right back over where she will be getting continued care through the weekend. I was met again with the warm and compassionate office I've know for years. Where I was apologized to which I did not need but was appreciated. I don't know how she snuck into such a great office but please don't let her negative uncompassionate and frankly nothing short of a miserable person that has no business around sick animals shy you away once past that I truly believe that my animal who's still knocking on deaths door is in the best of hands. My greatest appreciation goes out to the wonderful people in this office. And whatever the outcome I say whole heartly that I believe you are the best in the Central valley

Immediately when I walked in I was greeted with "so what's wrong with this one." Not a good sign when you walk into a emergency vet. I was put an exam room and spoke with Dr. Randy who was probably the ONLY nice one there. As he was speaking to me about my dog rudely walks in a Vet assistant saying they needed him and interrupted our conversation and I hear a "SURPRISE!" In the damn hallway? So you're telling me the dr was pulled out from something I FCKING PAID FOR for something that's not appropriate and necessary for a work place? Not only that, I told the lady up front there was no toilet liners in the women's restroom.. she rolled her eyes and said thank you, and slammed the side door to the entrance where she works. Immediately made me uncomfortable. Do not under any circumstances take your dogs here it will scare the crap out of you. I was sitting in that exam room freaking out because I did NOT trust these people with my dog at all. They're extremely distrusting and super suspicious. The ladies here are rude as hell, miserable, and hate their jobs. People come here vulnerable and stressed out about their dogs and I promise you these people will make you feel worse about your situation. Completely unprofessional and I hope this place loses their practice or they get some type of superior to put them in their place. SOMETHING needs to change there. Take your babies to Bakersfield, Fresno anywhere but this place. They also have a sign up front addressing and reminding people to not yell at them, I wonder why? It's understandable, but maybe you shouldn't treat everyone who walks through the door like they will and it wouldn't happen. To top it off there was the biggest roach I've ever seen in my life chilling in the exam room with me. I read all these reviews before I went to this ER and I wish I listened. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

Yesterday my pet had an emergency. I took my pet to Tulare-Kings Veterinary Emergency. I was told they may have to close because the only vet was ill. The fact the vet was ill is not the issue. What I don't understand is not having anyone else available. It's not the first time they run out of vets. If your pet has an emergency you can be out of luck.

They were amazing! My 13 year old dog was suffering from a severe bout of pancreatitis, and they saw him and got him taken care of! The staff were very kind, and very informative! He was seen by Dr. Huey, who took time to tell me what diagnostics he recommended. After he found out that it was pancreatitis, he talked in-depth with me about next steps and future care. The technician was amazing too! Unfortunately, I didn't catch her name. But she went over the estimate thoroughly with me, and also the medications and aftercare. There is one medication that has a dose of half a tablet, which she split in half for me! And last, our first contact with the clinic was with Reagan. When we explained what was going on, she said to head in! That was huge, because we had been turned away by 2 other 'emergency' vet clinics. Everyone that we interacted with here was kind. I'm so thankful that they saw my boy and help put him on the path to recovery. Thank you!

Your animal isn't a priority here. The cost and money is the first thing they're going to make you aware of before they care for your animal. Our dog came in with her puppy half out of the birthing canal and it took close to an hour for them to tell us anything. The price for a c section was over 4300! So we left and found a vet who moved appointments out of the way for our dog with a fraction of that price. In the hour we were there, 1 patient tried to warn us about bringing our animal to them cause their dog was "unsavable" & died and another patient left crying with an empty crate cause their fur baby also died. Find somewhere else to take them please.

We live in Wasco and the available emergency vet hospitals in Bakersfield couldn't take us. We searched for the nearest Emergency vet and Tulare Kings popped up. I called to make sure they could see us as we live an hour away. They informed us they could and left to get there. We arrived with our puppy and we were immediately seen. Within an hour and a half we had a treatment for our puppy. We ended up having to leave him for the night but we felt confident he would be week taken care off. The staff was wonderful in taking care of Finley and explaining the cost as each treatment came up. I will recommend anyone to go to this emergency vet before a Bakersfield one.

If I could give a 0 I would!! Do not bring your pet here. You just might have to bring them home in a box like I did. My fur baby, Lily, had a seizure so I panicked and took her to emergency just to be safe. Before they took her back, they asked for all my payment before they would see her. As soon as they took her back, she let out a loud scream- an awful sound that I've never heard. They put her in a coma, and said she wasn't going to come out of it. Now wait...she was just fine in the car, now what did you do to her behind those doors? Sadly, I had to say my goodbyes and bring her home in a box. I regret taking her here- and that bad decision cost my dog her life. I also had to pay 1,100.00 dollars to do so. This condition could've been fixed with a seizure med, but they must've needed to meet their numbers for the night. This place is shady, staff is unethical & have no sympathy! My poor baby! I'm so sorry Lily!!

Yelp has incorrect times on here. To my surprise this clinic is open 24/7. If I had known that I would have came last night or earlier. I think My cat has a blockage & is unable to void or defecate. This is an emergency, I'm told. Check-in is easy. No Apple Pay, but you can pay by cash, debit, credit card. They do take Scratch Pay & Care Credit. I paid $160 for her to be seen today since my normal Vet is unavailable. More to come. Ok, got one Huge estimate just for diagnostics. Just look at the pic. Wow, $1100.00 so many things ran through my mind. For example What Would Travis (my ex) do? Answer: 'Fuck that Cat!' I really had to ponder on how much I wanted to invest in this cat. I mean really? that's half a trip to Cabo. If this is just for diagnostic tests, I can't imagine the cost of treatment. Zoink! I shuffled through 3 staff including the Dr/Vet. I almost felt like I was buying/haggling for a car. I was in a waiting room, my cat was on the other side in a holding area/exam room. I even asked for an estimate to put the cat down, but the vet refused to do that without running all the diagnostic tests first. He said I don't want to put down what seems like a healthy cat w/o doing the tests first. Hmmmm ok let's do it (tests) then. Response: 'Well I don't want to pressure you'. I get questioned on why I even brought the cat in. So the Dr. left & I waited like maybe 5 min max, texting a friend about my experience when I just got up & asked for my cat. I signed 3 documents, acknowledging that the Dr. is standing by his course of treatment & that I'm taking my cat on my own accord. Legal stuff. This is what I learned about me: Self don't make rash decisions after working 21 days & 28 shifts straight. You're tired, that cat will be fine, and should I really have a cat working all these hours? I went to my vet the next day, Just look at my other Yelp review.

Traveling, and our pup got sick. While there are a number of emergency vets within an hour or so, they were all slammed last night (Saturday). Called several this AM and TAVE had the shortest wait. Super nice staff and vet. Not inexpensive, but emergency care never is...thank you TKVE.
