I love pets and use to love coming here because of the prices but the customer service was just awful to me and my family they would not sale me a fish or a guinea pig because they assumed we did not have the requirements for it when we did all of our research and had my daughter crying while the manager and another employee both were there and came at us it was so sad I use to love this store so much but horrible experience and the manager was not well dressed and asked to fight and had colored hair and was all tattoos so unprofessional and poor fish all of them are dead and worst conditions I’m just so disappointed now I head to Petco now where conditions are much better head to both stores on Mooney and you will see

OMGOODNESS!! Some people should NOT be in Customer Service period!Preacher and I didn't get past the front desk at this place! Gal at the front desk was so over the top rude as soon as we walked in, and she spoke. "For future reference, we don't appreciate being hung up on when we call to remind you of an appointment." Her exact words, I believe her name was Kylie. I couldn't hear you on the phone while I was driving and also trying to hear Google Maps directions was my reply. I was driving to this appointment, I told her. (and I was on time... I listen2ed to her message after leaving. It was about bringing Preacher's rabies certificate). My appointment was at6 10:30, I attempted to answer her call while driving at 10:28! But who does that, a "reminder call" 2, 3 minutes prior? Then she acted as though she didn't understand his shot record or doubting the validity, I just don't know. Then she asked twice (as if in doubt) if he had any health issues, she started looking over Preacher, checking his fur, as if looking for bugs. He's a standard poodle. WELL GROOMED, BUT NEEDED A BATH IT'S HOT! She said "ok he has matted ears, so he is only here for a bath, and brush, we will
cut those mats out, but we won't
groom the ears in any sort of way, just cut the mat out. " also relayed in the most ridiculous rudness and sounded as if they would just cut chunks out. Because i didn't buy the additional grooming? I had no idea what was behind this young persons very bad customer service and ugly behavior but I'd had enough, so I told her, "Ok enough, you are much too7 rude, maybe also for future reference you could try reminder calls a couple hours prior, instead of 3 minutes prior?" She claimed she'd called me "several times," Well, my phone records tell a different story, and no one from Petsmart called me prior to Sunday at 10:24, 25, and 28. all while i was driving to an appointment and listening to GoogleMaps, and I tried answering a call, but I couldn't hear anyone on the other end of the phone. AND I was driving! I hadn't been to Petsmart in years, and I won't go again. Imagine showing up on time to an appointment and with a smile to be greeted with a scowl and disrespect.

Bait and switch tactics used at this store are appauling. They advertise have three brand of oral flea treatments online but only have the most expensive brand in store. And of course they don't have any in stock even thou they don't remove the product boxes from the shelf. Will NEVER shop there again. ?

They close the Grooming Salon at 4pm? I guess those that work normal hours are out of luck! They REALLY need to change this policy ASAP!

This is my 3rd visit to this store I normally go to Bakersfield. However today I decided to order and take a ride to Visalia. I had planned to buy some feeder fish and a couple of other things I could not find online. I have about a 45 min drive so when I went in I asked one of the workers if the restrooms were locked or open. He said oh I don't think they are working. This is my 3rd visit probably in the last 6 months that is a long time to have a restroom broken. (Really) Your store is dirty do you just prefer the customer go in a corner and Pee like one of the animals, I guess it would be okay right.. This is also why many people are just choosing to buy from Walmart online and Amazon, it's not necessary to go to these stores anymore. This will definitely be my last visit to this store. If you are not in hurry just order from one of the online marketplaces... I was just picking up a sales item, I would have bought from anywhere, however this place had them on sale. Good luck shopping here, I probably would not walk my animal into this dirty store. If you really need something fast try Fresno or Bakersfield.

I made an appointment for bathing and brushing back for my dog 3 days ago. In the Pet Smart store in Visalia,CA. Yesterday I filled out the questionnaire. Today I came on time for bathing and brushing. I showed them the dog’s account where all her vaccinations are. According to the plan, the vaccination will be in February on the 18th. At the reception, the girl checked everything and said that the dog was being accepted and that they would have time to bathe and brush it before 5 pm. I asked what was taking so long? She answered maybe at 4 pm it will be ready. Well...I thought...okay. She takes the dog and says the hair is matted behind its ears. I say yes...a little. She replies that they will shave! I say that she can’t do that. (Pomeranian) Under no circumstances should you shave the fur of a Pomeranian. I didn’t tell her this, I just said that leave it as it is. At home, I’ll go through the length of her fur with thin nail scissors and everything will be fine. Or give me scissors, I’ll do it here. She walked, walked around the salon, talked to the haircutters and came to me and said let’s move the appointment to Saturday. I can’t on Saturday... I’m leaving for Los Angeles. Yes, I only need half an hour to subtract her and that’s it. But I I fell ill with the flu and I can’t breathe with this wool and it’s hard to bend over. So I decided to turn to professionals for the first time. Funny!!! They helped!!!! Moreover, they looked at me as if I had never brushed the dog. But in fact, it’s been raining for a week now, I’ve been sick for two weeks now, and yet the dog is shedding. Spring... spring shedding .I usually comb it out, cut it well, and then after a day or two I give it a bath and comb it out again and straighten the haircut. Because it’s cold now... it’s not like in the summer... in the summer it’s enough to give it a bath, comb it and cut it. Thank you, professionals, you convinced me!!! I won’t set foot in your salon again. It’s disgusting to even remember!!! Wasted time, and even with the aftertaste of such terrible service.
