They exploit the homeless. They say they help but they pick and choose who they help. If the program is a success it’s because they pick the ones they think will work out. They don’t take on hard cases. They are really busy posting about how much they do but they don’t actually do anything. My experience has been nothing but bad.

Omg. The people of Salt and Light are literally Angels among us! They have gone above and beyond. With there warm and caring hearts as to help get me a home I can call my own. When it seemed impossible to get back on my feet after being homeless due to COVID back a few years ago. I never in my wildest dreams that I would come Cross and organization that go above and beyond of human kindness as to help the ones that are so down and almost to point of no return. To help those in need of real help. Thank you from the bottom of my heart and soul to get me back up on my feet and get me back to where I can now move forward to bettering myself and my life to make it in these hard times. Thank you for helping me get back on my feet to where I now have a home and a job to better my life .
Thank you so very much as to giving me that 2nd chance for a bright and better future.
Anything that can be done to repay the gratitude to give I will always be there to volunteer my time to help.

The person I talked to was kind and considerate. The places he suggested were the same places I had been to already. It seems to me that I have literally been chasing my tail for last 3 years. With little to no help from the places I have been sent. Is there really no help, REAL HELP OUT THERE?

Thanks to Salt and Light and every single employee , and every single volunteer I just spent my second week in an apartment they created the opportunity for me to have a job as well and have been nothing but supportive. It’s real simple to me the proof is in the results and Salt and Light produces results!

Salt + Light WorksThe last word says it all. This is the only organization that has been successful in helping the homeless. The people employed there show a genuine care and compassion to not only get to know the transients and help alleviate the day to day struggles they experience but also quick with a handshake or hug. This business has taken time to develop relationships with the homeless people and the the other organizations that are working with the homeless. They won the best new NPO award rightfully so.. Mrs. Hillman has clearly done her homework and employed the right people that are already making a difference to solving the complex problems that are part of the entire homelessness issue this community faces.
