I explained to the shop that my car overheated on my trip home to San Francisco. The shop was responsive with phone calls, accepted my tow and made it easy to park my car in their lot outside of shop hours. Neighboring business owners raved their fair and honest services, and I felt my car was left in good hands. I rented a car and drove home, returning 5 days later to pick up my car. They diagnosed and repaired the problem and suggested one preventative repair, as a result of the near overheating issue, and I appreciate the foresight. While I appreciated getting my car up and running, and the work of the mechanics appear good, the price quoted can only be described as gouging for the work performed. As a San Francisco resident, I am accustomed to high prices, but their quote, which I approved, was simply jaw dropping. I paid it, but that does not mean it was fair, I was a stranded captive audience. My local SF based mechanic quoted me 1/3 the price for the same diagnostic, parts and repairs. The price gouging ruined what could have otherwise been a good experience.

Took vehicle to have check engine light looked at. Received call at 212PM telling us what they had replaced but that didn’t fix the check engine light. Asked for authorization to continue working the check engine light (only phone call we received from business requesting authorization). We declined the work. We were told they replaced the Mass Airflow Sensor and the cost was going to be $650 plus tax. Funny thing, no one ever called to authorize that repair but they did it anyway. We picked up vehicle and invoice for repair. The PN for the part was annotated on the invoice. A little research and with the help of some friends at local auto parts store I learned the part they replaced sells for $125 but we were charged $495 for the exact same part. Looked into some of the regulations regarding auto repair in CA and learned businesses were not allowed to make repairs without authorization. With this info I returned to the business and asked why they did the repairs without getting authorization. I was told they did get authorization at 2PM from my wife. What these guys fail to realize is that phones these days have call logs and we didn’t receive any calls from the business or anyone associated with the business. The only call we received was at 212 and that was to tell us what they did and to tell us the vehicle was ready for pick up and the cost was going to be $650 plus tax. Bunch of back and forth about them not calling. I asked Sergio if he is calling my wife a liar and he responded with yes because we called her and got authorization. When I asked Sergio about the cost of the part he charged me $495 for can be purchased at local auto parts store at $125 his response was “they wanted me to charge $800”. Who is they, this is locally owned business. Tried to make it look like he saved me money… I guess changing ownership can definitely have an affect on credibility and reputation of a business. This business was recommended by someone we trust (and still do). It’s obvious they didn’t know they are under new ownership.

I LOVE Visalia Auto Hause!! I have a 15 year old VW Jetta and as you can imagine, she's been running into some problems; engine fans & modulators, brakes & rotors, automatic windows, rear main seal leak, etc! Mike makes sure (Joan Jetta) gets in and out, and fixed up for another 15 years on the road! Thank you very much! I will not go to another auto shop for my foreign cars! 10/10 highly recommend!

I went to help my cousin get his car repaired, as soon as I walked up Sergio Lopez was very short and rude. Rolling his eyes and giving us attitude; I held my tongue at first but I eventually told him “there’s no need to be rude sir, he’s just asking questions and needs to confirm with my uncle” after that I did say “nombre por qué” and Sergio follows up with saying he knows Spanish and I said “ y yo también”Not sure if he was having a bad day or what but he then told us to leave and that he’s not going to work on our car.God bless him and goodluck but I will never go there again extremely unprofessional and rude, no customer service skills at all… mike the younger guy was nicer though.
