If anyone knows the location this car went please let me know . I’m desperate it was the last thing I had of my dads before he passed . It was only going in for maintenance. I’m desperately wanting it back to stay in the family . I have ton more pics from Jan this year to identify plus vins .Scotty is the only one that worked on this car and my dad trusted him . But he is super low lying about it and shady . I would never trust him . Oh and by the way I have our conversation recorded so quit lying . Do not trust this guy . He takes advantage of widowers too and lies .

If you have an older Mustang, absolutely bring it here! Don't waste your time on other shops who think they can fix older cars. My son has a 66 Coupe and has wasted a ton of time with other shops. Scotty was knowledgeable, honest, and a straight shooter! He got us in quickly when we needed it too. Scotty is the absolute best!

I've been a shade tree mechanic for 50+ years so am pretty knowledgeable about my 67 Mustang coupe which I've owned since 1970.. I've been going to Scotty and his team for the past 7-8 years and have developed an appreciation for his knowledge, thoroughness and honesty. It's hard to find people who still are knowledgable about these old vehicles. I'm a totally satisfied customer.

I must say that I am very disappointed w this business, which centrally caters to Fords. However, I did not appreciate how the owner over prices items which if you do your own research marks up miscellaneous items to the point where you can literally say, "this man ripped me off!" While he reveals great vehicle competence he does not follow through with requests. There is no honor system and he applies predatory business tactics in your transactions. The staff is highly standoffish on the phone. All potential customers be careful and use the internet to make informed decisions.

Amazing job putting together and solving our 64 1/2 Mustang transmission issue. They found ways of saving us money rather than total replacement on our mufflers too. So happy I found Scotty and his team. Truly above and beyond. They are my go-to in North County for our classic!

These folks are terrific! They really know their stuff and do excellent work. If you have a classic Mustang this is the place to go. Had them work on my 66 coupe and I can’t give them high enough marks. Great communications, called me each step of the way at any decision point. Didn’t try to up-sell and even suggested ways to save a few bucks. Reasonable prices, timely work, stand behind what they do. Also just good/fun people to talk with.

I found my 1965 Mustang Fastback back in 2007. It had sat for many years and was going to need a lot of work to be road worthy. My career and growing family ended up taking priority, and the Fastback just sat in the garage, waiting. In 2019 I threw in the towel on the dream of doing the work myself. I found Scotty, Shareef, and the crew at Cal Classics through a recommend. I brought the car to them and left them with the instructions to just give me a call every couple of weeks and that I had no expectations about a delivery time. I was rewarded with a now beautifully handling, stopping, and fast Mustang that purrs like a kitten. I kept the budget 289 I had on hand but they converted my car over to 4 speed manual, added a power booster, 4 wheel disc brakes, rebuilt the front steering, did the Shelby Drop, cut out and replaced with new metal all of the non-surface rust. Their prices are exceptional for the quality of work they offer. They've followed up now a month later to make sure it's running to spec and I couldnt be happier. It was a huge decision for me to squash my dream of turning every wrench, but in the end this actually saved me a lot of money. The crew at Cal Classics has been through this with hundreds of Mustangs. They have an encyclopedic knowledge of every inch of my car, and how best to approach all of the fixes and upgrades. What would have taken me time to research, watch videos, and asks questions to experts about they already know.

This business is the best! I had them completely restore my Shelby GT 350H and couldn't be happier. The owner is honest and old school. They know more about Mustangs than anybody on the planet. I wish more businesses took the honest and no BS approach to getting things done. I give this business 10 stars. Google should at least give it five. If you hear any bad reviews on this business, I guarantee it's becuase of the client being unreasonable, demanding, or over expecting. I wish all small businesses were as personable and honest as this one. If you take your mustang somewhere else in San Diego, it will probably end up at this shop to be fixed. If you notice, the reviews from actual customers are 5 stars. Even the people that do nothing but review business and have never had the pleasure and pride of owning a Mustang give this business 5 stars with the exception of the tool Vince Jackson. I can't even find Vince's review because he's so bad at what he does. if you love your car as much as I do, this is the place to go.
