Ingrid was in knowledgeable, unprofessional, and incompetent in my situation. It used to be that customer service was important and not an annoying task.prior service at this bank was accommodating and excellent until I encountered her.

Right now I'm not too happy with this branch because their broken ATM machine ate over $500 that my husband deposited, on two separate deposits the same day!!! We've called the number on the receipt he got when it happened (not really a receipt because it only said to call to make sure the money was deposited) a million times and waited for hours on the phone, and gone to the branch personally. He's been told NOTHING can be done for 10 business days! Not even a temporary credit can be issued!! Really? That's money he earned that we need to pay rent. The covid-19 eviction moratorium ends Saturday. Are you serious, Chase Bank?

As many Chase banks in our area were closed, this was the only one open last Friday. There was no line inside and we were able to take care of business quickly with a very pleasant employee.

The people who work at this branch are awesome. They are knowledgeable, friendly and couldn't be more accommodating. A special thank you to Minhoo and Marty who navigated me through a very stressful and difficult transaction. Thank you!!

The wait at this chase bank was ridiculous. It's a couple nights before Christmas and you have one teller working at 5pm. I'm the third person in line and you were with the same customer for over 15 minutes with no back up teller. A secondary teller said oh I'll be right with but continued to wrap cash with rubber bands for the duration of about ten minutes, I had enough. I was forced to use the atm machine because the line was going no where fast. I wanted fifties for gift purposes. The top of line machine next to the teller windows had no fifties and no tens. Why did I even bother coming to this branch.

Trevor Cochran at Chase Bank on Melrose in Vista is "the guy who delivers on his promises!" ...if you are in need of a loan, as my newly wed daughter was, you want to see Trevor and give him a shot. Not only did he get a great rate for her (lower than 6 other competitors), but he delivered on his promise to be able to fund in 21 days (they had a short escrow due Seller demands)...he made sure all the "t's" were crossed and the "i's" dotted....all in all a commendable job...well done!

I went into the Chase bank near me yesterday with some questions and concerns about my checking account. They answered all my questions and helped me get clarity on the situation quickly. I was really happy with their service and I will recommend them to people I know.

This facility is near my home, so about a year ago I thought I would try it. I meet an officer, Marty, who took me through the process of opening an account. Since then she has provided stellar service. She is amazing with timely responses. Chase is a mega organization who has leaders who know the value of personal attention. A smaller bank could do nothing better! Try this location. I'm sure you will be pleased.

So, I started banking here after banking with Point Loma Credit Union and Wells Fargo for 12 years and 3 years respectively, out of sheer convenience because they're literally right around the corner from my house... but after various hiccups regarding my direct deposit taking up to 48 hours longer to hit with Chase than PLCU, and more fees and service charges than I've ever dealt with at any other bank I've been with, I just now dealt with a first in my banking history... My payroll company split my pay and tips pay, paying me my regular check through direct deposit on 5/12, and sending me a hard copy check for my tips ($251.76) dated for the same day. I was in AZ for a week for my brother's graduation, but got back on 5/20 with my checking account severely impacted by the trip. I took the check in that day, issued by my payroll company... the same one who direct deposits to Chase biweekly, and asked the cashier if I could cash it and deposit half back into checking. (As I didn't need the full amount at the time) The teller said, no, but she could deposit it first and THEN give me $120 of it... so, I agreed. At no point did she warn me that the remaining balance would be held ALL THE WAY UNTIL TUESDAY 5/23 even though I was there on the 20th with a check dated the 12th... Then, I go into Chase today at 1641 S Melrose, and after trying to withdraw another $120 from my remaining $131, and speaking to two tellers, I was told that the Banker Sean or Shawn, or however that "professional" "man" spelled it (yes... both words need to be in quotations, as he is only either under the most basic of definitions) could help me. After I stepped into his cubicle, he belittled me for not having more money available. Made me feel small and poor for having a bill become outstanding in the first place to the point where I was relying on the tips I had deposited to "save my ass", and although he had the power to help me ascertain the funds, he played dumb and powerless and had a smirk on his face while he did it. He seemed like the macho sports type with adult braces, and seemed to get joy out of making a young gay man like myself feel powerless, embarrassed, and stupid. When I told him that they didn't let me know there would be a hold on the check when I deposited it and that I would have just taken it to a Check Cashing Center had I known that up front, he stated "We don't HAVE to tell you when we're going to put your funds on hold, it's up to you to be a big boy and ask those questions ahead of time" further making me uncomfortable. When I asked to speak to a manager, he said she was busy but that I could wait. But after this whole ordeal already taking 45 min and me nearly running late to head to work, I told him that I would just close my accounts and write this review if he couldn't help me access my money. And he just stood there and said "Sorry you feel that way." So in short, did I feel discriminated against? Yes. Did I feel mislead, and to a lesser degree robbed? Yes. Did I feel they were helpful and professional? Not in the slightest. Will I be closing my accounts and transferring my direct deposit to PLCU? As soon as possible.

As I stepped in the door I was greeted by the manager. He asked if he could help so I told him I wanted to open an account. He directed me to a neatly dressed young man by the name of Jerry Brown. Who invited me into his office. I asked his title and he said he was a personal banker, explaining that should I have any questions or problems to contact him and he would resolve them. I'm 84 years old and a retired entrepreneur and have been in the "people business" for many years. As such I am a good judge of employees. All I can say is Mr. Jerry Brown is very professional who was very thorough explaining all the different deposit systems. He is a definite asset to Chase Bank. Should I still be running my businesses I would try to hire him. When I left the bank after opening an account I really felt good knowing that I had the best personal banker ever.

Very upset with the experience my mother had at this branch recently. August 13, 2015 around 1:30pm. I've been a Chase customers since relocating to California 5 years ago. Very happy with Chase and highly recommend this bank to all friends and family. My mother and father just relocated to Oceanside and were needing to find a bank to open a new checking account. Unfortunately last Thursday when my mother entered the bank, not only was she never greeted. But the customer account representatives were too preoccupied with their own personal conversations to even notice my mothers presence. Finally after about 10 minutes of waiting, standing, looking and walking around. A female brunette approached her and asked her "can I help you" my mother explained she needed to open a new account. "Take a seat someone will be with you." My mother waited for another 20 minutes. Finally the brunette came back to get here but instead was interrupted by another customer whom just walked in, but apparently had an "appointment." The brunette told my mother, "I'll try and see if I can get anyone to help you." At that point my mother left. Completely dissatisfied and irritated. I am very upset with the way this branch handled her first visit!!! This is not how chase is supposed to be ran! The VP was even walking around in his office and get never seemed to notice my mother waiting for 20 minutes!! This issue needs to be resolved. I will continue to fight for Chase and recommend this bank to all my family and friends. However this branch needs to pull it together and start making an effort to take care of ALL customer needs!

Very slow. I see many people walking around that work here but only one at the counter. How rude. There is now 8 people behind me.. I'm 8mo pregnant and sick of standing here. Won't be back unless it's a quick atm transaction!! Poor service!!! Never been to a bank that has such crappy teller service!!! Plus the coffee is empty and water taste like tap!!

Greedy money grubbers? Not at Chase Bank. Everyone at this branch is incredibly friendly and helpful. And they go out of their way to help you. Although they could use more tellers because if you don't time your visit right, you'll have a bit of a wait.

We went in to cancel and merge accounts. The request was fulfilled, however the banker assigned my new bank card (which I had to wait over a week for, and use a credit card in the mean time) to the closed account. So, I had to go back in and have them re-issue a new card. Luckily we live pretty close by, but it was still inconvenient to have to ask someone to do their job properly.
