Citibank is horrible! They advertised disaster help then reneged! Do do it they will shut your credit card down immediately, still charge you interest and still charge you a late fee. Liars and now they will want a bail out!

Any time I go into this bank they treat me like I'm the only customer all the employees are friendly and helpful. I couldn't be more happy with the way I'm treated when I go in that particular

Though I like how they are using technology and the internet to make banking easier on busy people like me, and they don't have fees no matter how empty your account is, I'm only giving Citibank 3 stars because they don't have enough locations nor do they have enough dedicated Citibank ATMs. I was looking for a Citibank late at night and the closest was 6 miles from me while almost every other bank that I'm aware of was no more than 2 miles away. Furthermore, I live in Menifee, CA and the closest location is in Hemet more than 10 miles away.

All DOD employees are forced to use this and it's painful. They somehow find ways to suck even more day by day, if not in one department it's in another. The customer service is like calling brazzers and cancelling/renewing a subscription but much worst.

Banking to me is not something to typically "yelp" about. There are so many banking options, and with most general banking done on an app, or at an ATM machine, they can all look the same. When you need, however, to get assistance from a live person (not on the phone in an overseas call center reading from a script/flow chart), that's when you realize there is a distinct difference in them. Having banked at Chase, Wells Fargo, Bank of America and Citibank, the customer facing experience in terms of ease in finding a branch or bank branded ATM to accept deposits or resolve issues is outstanding with all mentioned... save Citibank. With only one branch located within 20 miles of where I live in Oceanside, and very few Citibank branded ATM machines capable of accepting cash/check deposits, Citibanks corporate decision to close branches and force its customers to online was a very poor one. But this review isn't about that issue, and yet I still give 5 stars. The review is about the Melrose branch, its leadership and the care the staff puts forth in providing the best customer service possible. Having banked with Citi for several years, I've had the pleasure of Stephanie, Eric and the rest of the teller staff help resolve issues that Chase, Wells, BofA etc...would have dismissed or relinquished to the realm of scripted procedures. Had my check book stolen...Stephanie and Eric resolved the security compromise and got me immediate loss prevention assistance, and a new account that day. I've walked in needing information on deposits, erroneous charges, and direct deposit issues and each time I was treated by the branch manager as THE most important person on the planet. The Melrose branch values its customer relationships, its part of the leadership DNA Stephanie instills, and that sense of "family" is the only reason I remain a loyal customer. Thanks guys!!!

Citibank has now taken the obsurd approach to no longer accept U.S. dollars for payment to Citibank Visa at the bank in person with ID. They want you to bring Money orders in for payments. BOYCOTT this bank, they make the assumption that a person who wants to pay in Cash is money laundering.

Went in person to pay a larger amount to citi bank balance transfer, clerk advised me to make 2 separate payments for 2 separate balance transfers then to call and make sure they are distributed the way that I want. I did that, on receiving my new statement, it was not distributed the way I wanted. Called again.. they pay the highest balance first, which of course is the newer transfer. therefore the transfer that is near expiring will not get the extra payment.. She tells me wait until it expires to pay in full. ???? what then the rate jumps up.. I cant walk in and pay the one near expiration in full early.. What the hell,, we have no control over our own payments? never have more than one... I will pay off and not use them again

Nice friendly service. I seldom go into a branch and there are very few Citibank branches left. Had simple deposit which was completed promptly and correctly.
