Beware never get tires here, the wait is horrible and customer service is terrible just got brand new tires and after 3 months my tire blew out on the freeway came in to replace it and waited 4 hours and no installation, never getting tires here again

Unprofessional and incompetent + unsafe and illegal practices.
Buyer Beware. They do not honor their warranties and they WILL send you out without a safe tire. Their warranty is subjective not objective. Report to the state immediately if your safety has been jeopardized by their fraudulent sales practices. DOCUMENT everything, get names of everyone, and get everything in writing. The state frowns on these practices and this Costco could face serious legal issues at this point.

Service excellent. Jon at the front desk could have worked at the Jungle Cruise in Disneyland (his witty humor was great). Prices were fair. Fast with and appointment. The only down side was the parking - but I have to fault the members who take Tire Center Parking to go shopping. Geez! I know it's busy and hard to find spots but come on folks!

Extremely Disappointed with Costco Tire Center Service.
I had an appointment at Costco Tire Center today to replace my tires, and the experience was extremely frustrating. The representative was unbelievably slow—taking over 20 minutes to assist the customer in front of me. When it was finally my turn, she unapologetically told me it would take *at least* 2 hours or more to change the tires, without offering any guarantee of when the job would be done.
I had to pick up my toddler in less than 2 hours, and despite having a scheduled appointment, there was no consideration for my time. The lack of professionalism and customer care was astonishing. I ended up leaving without the service being completed because there was no way to ensure it would be done in time. This occurred on Sep 20th, 2024.
Costco needs to do better. Management should ensure that appointments are honored, service is timely, and customers are treated with respect. This experience has made me seriously reconsider using their services in the future.

I scheduled an appointment at the Costco Tire Center in Vista for a simple tire rotation at 4 PM. I arrived early at 3:50 PM, expecting the service to start on time. However, I was told they couldn’t even begin until 5:30 PM—an hour and a half after my scheduled time! What’s the point of scheduling an appointment if they can’t stick to it? I had to rearrange my entire day and wait around for something that should have been straightforward and quick. Very frustrating and unprofessional. I expect better from Costco.

A 2 hour wait when you have an appt is ridiculous - apparently it’s common at Costco Tire Centers. Under-staffed and poor customer service isn’t something I’m used to from Costco. We will not be returning to the tire center.

Don't understand the point of making an appointment when it's two and a half hours past your appointment time and they still haven't even looked at your vehicle. Usually don't have a problem with Costco Tire Center, but this is ridiculous. Tire repair due to nail covered under warranty and took nearly 4 hours. Unsatisfactory.

Even if you have an appointment, you have to wait in line, so I strongly recommend getting an appointment, and come 15 to 20 minutes early for your appointment.

Pros: Good inventory and availability. Prices seemed good, especially compared with Discount tire that imposed an installation fee that Costco did n to charge. Poorly staffed waiting / service area. Despite the staffing issue, we will probably return next time.

Loved getting brand name, good quality and great value tires at Costco. My issues with this tire shop seems to be communication. Had paid for my tires on line and appt time offered was over a week or 2 away. That seemed odd, as northern cal Costco was the last one I had purchased tires from & I don't remember an appt system. Decided to ck over the phone and they said to just drop it off at opening. Went the next day at opening , quick check in and friendly counter service, said the pick up time would be around 2 pm and they would call me. 5pm still had not received a call so tried calling the tire center. Just let it ring over dozens of times x 3, NEVER answered, so decided to just head over at 7pm as it should be ready or I would receive a call. Sometime around 7:30 pm arrived back at center, and was told my car would be ready about 8:30. Nice counter service person again but NO explanation as to why I was never notified of pick up time, or explanation for their phone never being answered, or apology for either. Costco Tire Center Management suggestions: give better information, I don't expect exact pickup time, but over 6 hour inaccurate not acceptable! Don't tell your customers you'll call them if that is not going to happen AND there is no one answering your phone! A 3, (my company) or 5 or even 10 ring might be acceptable, or get an answering system & call your customer back if you're busy and can't answer in a timely manner! A call 3 times and ring over dozens of times unanswered is really unacceptable and if your working employees can hear that, it's got to be annoying and distracting from their work! But if the hope is to get customers to spend more inside the store-it worked! I spent way more than I planned to in 2 visits inside the store while my tires were being put on. But that's on me unless it's all part of a Costco plan? The reason I can give this a 3 star review is that when I picked up my car-I was given all kinds of good info on where to go if rotation, repairs or discounts on general car service is needed. And I've never been offered or told to come back within 20 miles for lug tightening/adjustment-& that was so easy. Pull up to the back bays and taken care of within 5 minutes. So-tire brands & prices: A. Location and ease of buying tires: A. Friendly, courteous customer service: A-, Estimation of ready/pick up time: D-, Answering your ringing posted phone number: F, Overall customer communication: D.

Run or drive and find a certified tire repair/replacement facility. I purchased the best tires offered by Costco and the stated warranty on the front page of the Costco tires website. It is stated, "free flat repair for the lifetime of the tire". BUT what is not stated is that they are an appointment only facility as I was advised by the Costco service representative 09/14/2023 and a routine nail in the tire (ie flat repair) needed an appointment and they were booked out for a week. When I inquired about driving the car to the Vista Costco for immediate repair, I was advised that I would have to leave it for at least 8 hours. Well this is the reason for the poor review and I am forced to take my recently purchased tire to a repair facility, it is not acceptable to be without the car for a week and or have to wait 8 hours to get back on the road. So if you are driving and have a flat good luck with your Costco tires. Hopefully, you can avoid the same frustration that I had.

Less than ZERO! Every single rim is damaged and or bent with missing parts. Took my Mini in for new Michelins. Service was OK took 2 hours BUT. . they TRASHED all 4 of my rims!!! I was not feeling well that day and turned out I had contracted COVID/was sick for a month. Didn't think to inspect my wheels before I left that shop so it's been too long now to do anything about it. Zoom in to the photos. It's a shame. BEWARE! Make certain they do no damage to your wheels.

After having made an appointment, they tried to make me wait an hour and a half to remove a screw from my tire! This is after the girl took a phone call while I was standing right in front of her, treated me like I didn't exist. Im not waiting... I'll go to Discount tire instead. At least they treat me like I matter!
