This place is a dream compared to the Carlsbad Lowe's. Literally every time I've visited, I am greeted at the door, there are far more employees working the floor, asking if I need help, etc... It's pretty common to need help finding niche items in these large stores. Today I went and spoke with 4 employees, every single one was friendly and seemed very genuine about their desire to help. This has occurred every time I've visited and I am very happy with this place. It is farther than the Lowe's in Carlsbad from my home but I go to Home Depot instead due to the customer service. They also tend to have a better selection and better store organization of inventory.

Wow.. the customer service here is horrendous!!! Associates will be standing around talking and you go to ask a question and they glare at you like how dare you.. We typically shop at the one closest to our house but needed a ladder rental. The tool rental dept. is their saving grace. These guys are very helpful especially Eddie. It's a shame that the other employees (that we dealt with) don't care about the customers at this store. We won't shop here again.

Natasha is the returns department has an amazing attitude and was extremely helpful. She even offered us a water because the return was taking a while. Awesome experience, especially for a return.

My husband and I have had several bad experiences with the door department (Melrose Home Depot) including yesterday 8/5/2020. When you ask them for help they always give us some version of, "we don't have that/do that here." They don't offer an alternate solution and make you feel crazy for even asking. In response, we have taken our business elsewhere. Please hire and train helpful people for this department!

I was sent to this store by the oceanside store to purchase an item on sale that they ran out of, and I specifically asked whether the sale price would be the same at the Vista store, and customer service rep at the oceanside store told us they would honor the price.....and I left without purchasing anything and wasted my time because this vista store refused to honor it. I'll take my business to Lowe's from now on! Horrible customer service all around.

Me and my husband went in so clueless with a bag of random screws, & a hardware list of screws. We didn't know which screws we needed or didn't. Randy helped us out right away & took the time to go through the bag of screws & figured out which screws we needed & how many we needed. Walked out very satisfied. Thanks so much Randy we appreciate it!! :)

Customer service at this location is terrible.Ordered for curbside pickup. Called number posted and nobody answers the phone. I ask an employee doing carts and his answer was if they don't answer the phone you have to go inside. I guess they not only have tools inside but also working for them. Maybe the manager of this store should take a training trip to the Temecula Home Depot to see how they do the job. When I did a pickup at that store as soon as I parked in the pickup location an associate was there to assist me and I was on way in minutes. Not at North Oceanside, it took 15 or more minutes and then I get an annoyed employee hand me my purchase and while walking away she says sarcastically "thank you, have a nice day". I guess in her little mind I was supposed to thank her for doing her job poorly. No thank you for shopping here or sorry for the wait. It's no wonder Amazon is killing their sales.

The customer service at this store has been terrible. I had to deal with them on my last 3 visits. Visit #1 I purchased a table saw. When I unpacked it, I found half of the bolts missing to set it up. I called to see if I could just get some bolts and the clerk would only say bring it back. I packed up the 90 lb saw and took it back for a refund. I found a better deal and friendlier people at Harbor Freight.Visit #2 I purchased a dishwasher. The install team had to be called back 3 times for an incorrect installation. I told them the door wont close because its not set up correctly. They told us that they're all like that.Visit #3 I placed an order for pick up. When I get the bag home, I see that the packaging has been sliced open from top to bottom. I called to talk to someone to see what was supposed to be in the package. Maybe it was complete. They said bring it back. I again asked to talk to someone who could answer my question and was disconnected. Thanks for that one Brittany.Each conversation with customer service was met with the same I'm too busy to deal with you attitude. I even took the time to email the store manager - no response. Time to find a better place to spend my money.

5/1/2020 around 430pm. I was following the line to customer service to pick up my order. I'm following the designated circles to keep the 6ft distance. Home depot older lady said there is a line and I have to go behind the guy who was behind me in the first place. I said I was in line and was already in front of him and she just gave me the rolling eyes. Was my turn and another younger lady again told me I have to go behind the guy so that's when I got mad and told her to check the line and not to discriminate. It started with the older lady who is rude and should not be in customer service.

I wanted information on my desire to buy an avocado tree from this Home Depot location. One of their great staff members helped me through the selection process. He was very knowledgeable and helpful!! I have had repeated great experiences here!!

Dear Customer Service Department, I wanted to let you know about the great experience that I had recently with two of your staff members at The Home Depot located at 2430 S. Melrose Dr, Vista, CA 92081. I came in looking for a rug for my room and this is where the wonderful meeting started with a nice greeting and smile from both Donna and Seth. They were both very professional, polite, knowledgeable, respectful, friendly, and helpful during my time there. I greatly appreciated both of your employees helping me pick out a nice rug and sharing some of their Home Depot experiences with me. They both demonstrated great communication skills and made me feel welcome. I believe they were genuinely concerned to make sure that I felt satisfied and comfortable with the choice of rug that I purchased. Very informative and took the time to make sure I was receiving the best value and price. I feel that both Donna and Seth are a great asset to your company while representing a positive encounter. It was an enjoyable experience and well-done efforts by both staff members making me feel like a valued customer. Thank you to Donna / Seth for all of your hard work and great customer service.

TYPICAL HOME DEPOT ! We dropped by this store to pick up a couple of indoor air filters for our heater /cooling system. In and out at the self checkout in 10 minutes.

My friend and I came here yesterday (Thursday, January 2, 2020) at around 7:30pm, which was an hour and a half before the store was scheduled to close. We walked in and saw some employees congregating to the right. One was on the store phone and I think two others were talking to each other. No one said a word to us. We then proceeded to spend some time trying to pick out succulents and no one asked if we had any at all and we were still in front of the employees near the entrance. We then proceeded to the garden center and it was completely empty...no employees and no other customers. We spent a good amount of time there looking for specific things and at some point an older gentleman who was an employee walked between us, looked back at me, and then kept walking. He didn't say a single word to us. After we proceeded to finally make our way back into the store and to the self-check out, two employees walked past us and said nothing to us. As we got to the self check-out, I noticed two employees there. One watched my friend and I scan items, but said nothing. Not even a hello. There were no other customers there to help either. Our entire time at the store was spent without a single word from the employees. I wouldn't have had an issue if someone just said hi because everyone likes to be acknowledged in some way. The customer service was non existent. I would never choose to come to this location again.
