Derek has been very helpful and informative. He was very knowledgeable and provided me with beneficial facts about not only my torque converter but transmissions. I got straight forward direction from him- much different than what I was told at a dealership in Dublin.
Aamco was also significantly cheaper too!!! Thanks

What can I say about my experience here?
Professional from start to finish.
Derek, Jay and the whole crew were all courteous, friendly, and extremely helpful.
I went in for a tune-up on my Lexus and they had found a couple additional issues. They explained in detail what it was and how much it would add to my original tune-up. I told them to do what was needed and they did. When I was called to pick up my car, it was found that one possible issue was not a problem, so my total cost was less than the original quote with the additional work.
They could have easily done the quoted but unneeded work and I would have never known.
They also explained in detail what services will be needed in the near future.
Do I trust them? Absolutely, 100% !
They have earned a client in me and now my wife will be bringing her vehicle in for services as well.
Give this trusted, locally owned shop you business and feel good about it.

AAMCO in Walnut Creek did great on my Transmission replacement work that I needed done. I was quoted from three shops and AAMCO came in with a great price. Once I authorized the work the actual price came down a bit so they over delivered there when it came to price. I was on a tight time frame and AAMCO delivered the finished work much faster than originally planned. I was able to get the car back and in time to take the family for a special memorial day trip. Overall Derek and his team were amazing with price, speed and service. My Tahoe is running great and should be for some time now. I'll be going to them for any future repair needs.

Derek, along with Jay at Ammco have done an excellent job on my Chevy Tahoes during the past 8 years. In fact, Derek helped me in checking out a replacement for my 2012 Tahoe with a 2017 Tahoe. Great people backed by excellent mechanics?

Derek and his team are very friendly and thorough. We had a dreaded "mystery" problem with our car that was causing the engine to cut out intermittently. The AAMCO team kept searching until they found the source and fixed it completely. The car is now reliable again and going strong. I highly recommend taking all your vehicles in to AAMCO for any repairs or regular maintenance.

I had electrical issues with my 1999 Ford F150 . The left and right turn signal levers were not working after I moved my steering wheel down to better see the road. Derek the owner told me he would put his best electrical person (lady) on my car. Three hours later I was called to pick up my car. Everything worked perfectly. Thank you Derek and the electrical lady. I will recommend AAMCO in Walnut Creek to friends and Family.

Dropped off 2005 Dodge Dakota with check engine light on for transmission issues, they road tested trans shifted fine but light would not go off, same TCM codes every time. Derek called me stated it runs rough and could be causing the issue that the spark plugs were worn, I wrote service for over 30 years and never heard of that but I am not a transmission specialist. I authorized the work the truck runs the same same codes came back on. They never diagnosed it just advised a new transmission. Was told they dont rebuild transmissions anymore just replace them. They did get the spark plug upsell. I took it to another shop they diagnosed it had a internal failure. cost effective to rebuild or replace with remanufactured transmission. I had them replace it, was 1000 dollars less than AAMCO.

Had a great experience here. Came in because I realized I was grossly overdue for my transmission fluid, and wanted to get some other regular maintenance taken care of at the same time. Got me in same day (to my relief) and did a great job. Derek was great, gave me the estimate, and got everything squared away on the car. Even got my broken taillight bulb replaced. And totally appreciated the heads up on various items to have on my radar WITHOUT the hard up-sell. Thank you Derek! I'll be back!

My experience with Jay and Aracelli was Awesome! They were able to calm my anxiety over the fear that I need a new transmission for my car. The technician was able to pinpoint the issue and repaired it. In addition, I gladly accepted the recommendation of getting transmission fluid replaced so that I can drive my car another 100,000 miles! The team is very professional. They listened to the customer and able to provide solutions to any issues that they find! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this GREAT team!

I don't think I have enough space in this area to tell you how I feel about Derek, from day one that I moved to Walnut Creek and I came to aamco transmissions he has taken care of me, he is my go-to mechanic permanently, he himself and his staff are very professional and thorough and listens to you as the customer to figure the problem out, I'll refer AAMCO transmission and owner Derek to anyone .!
I'm not just saying this , I truly mean that this man is the best mechanic that you can find and fair on the price.

Second time using these guys and still very pleased. My Jeep was having an issue and they were able to accommodate me very quickly. First spoke with Eugene and worked with Derek again which they both were awesome. I was honestly anticipating my car to be there the whole week since I didn't have an appointment or anything and they had a really quick turn around time which made me very happy. Communication was thorough all throughout. Luckily what my car ended up needing was not anything too major. Overall very very happy with this team. Can't stress enough how happy I feel to have a shop out this way I know I can trust and plan to continue to use these guys. Thanks again Derek and team!

Awesome place. Had our 2013 f150 sticking in first gear at random times. They diagnosed it after trying to get it to act up, and fixed it along with doing a couple other things that needed some maintenance.
