I only came here to use the ATM, but so I'm gonna review that!! I'm always on the lookout for Bank Of The West ATMs since I'm a member, and this one was walking distance from Downtown Walnut Creek!! It was the ATM inside of a small room, so I guess it's more secure. No issues, got my cash and I was out!!

Please avoid this bank. It gives banks a bad name. It doesn't matter what location or time of year, their terminals are slow, to the point of boredom. I have always commented on it. This morning, I damaged my car getting into one of their few parking spots, then paid high meter rates in a nearby spot and then waited inside for two tellers to process the two clients in front of them. (The alternate parking they offer is the City Garage where you park on the 4th or 5th floor.) I waited.....and waited until the time ran out on my meter and I left without doing any business. I drove to another location in Concord and I was #6 in line waiting for two tellers. Nobody was moving. Finally, someone opened a non-terminal desk and took my deposit along with three others. I received a hand-written receipt. Very unprofessional and a waste of time. This is not a people problem, it's a bank problem.

Last Friday, I made the mistake of coming here instead of my usual Lafayette branch. I arrived at 3:15 after having just dropped off the kids at my husband's office so I could make a mad dash to open a new business account, before they closed early due to their new Covid hours. I tried to check in on the dead ipad in the lobby with no luck. So I waited in line to speak to the one teller because he was the only human visible. About 4 minutes later, some dude named Sean? popped out to ask the customers what they needed. When he finally got to me at 3:19, he was shocked at my request. He proclaimed that they could not open new accounts this close to closing time AND that I needed an appointment. I explained that this is the earliest could ever arrive on any given day and he insisted I need an appointment. If I had an appointment then I could open an account in less than an hour? The great part was when he continued to raise his voice to me. I later looked at their appointment system, and to no surprise, there were no appointments, ever. The idiot had no idea that their appointment system wasn't working. I made an appointment with the Lafayette branch and will never go here again. Bank of the West can thank my husband for refusing to close all five of our accounts because I would have done it that same day.

I stopped by this branch to do an international wire transfer to a company I've worked with in the past. I had their account information ready and presented it to the banker. He starts asking me where it was going and what it was for. I let him know that it was to ship my inventory from China. You should have seen the look on his face. He then says "okay, this is not a scam or something right". SERIOUSLY?! I then informed him that I've met the factory owners and have done business with them in the past. Then asks me what the first and last name of the recipient was. I let him know that I wasn't sending it to a person it was to a company, there was no one person associated with it. He then goes on to tell me that I needed a first and last name. I let him know that I have had other branches process this request without a first and last name and he goes "well they shouldn't be doing that". I let him know that I would accept the liability, I was giving him authorization. He denied my request and I thanked him for wasting my time. Right as I was about to leave he got creepy and said that he recognized my last name and tried to tell me he knew my dad. Sir I DO NOT KNOW YOU and I do not care if you know my dad or not. I walked out and will never return to this branch again. I love Bank of the West and this was the first time I've ever had a bad experience at one of their branches.

Their response is slow, waited ,short talk 52 mounts. The lien release they said they sent in mail, I waited 18 days called them and they started the inquiry again which wad taken care of month ago. They said they would send the lien release in a fax in 24 hours if I really get it you'll hear another comment for me complimenting them

I was a former customer at the old Walnut Creek Branch until I had so much trouble with them when my father died that I swore I would never go back. The employees were untrained in trust related matters and were so stubborn that they caused delays and a lot of grief. Well, now I got a card in the mail offering an attractive CD rate, so I was considering going back, but after reading the Yelp reviews, I can see that nothing has changed and I will take my money somewhere else.

I wish that they have more branches, especially closer to my neighborhood. But, I am happy with them. They pay better interest on my accounts than Wells Fargo.

The customer service at this branch is wonderful 5+ stars... Good dedicated, competent bankers that have been helpful and gone the extra mile for me on several occasions. I really appreciate all of them with a genuine personal fondness. Unfortunately, from the executive branch a new demand was placed on it's customers to release personal privacy rights that Bank of the West then sells that information to it's vendor's who will have unlimited access to spam and robocall at the customer's expense. If one does not agree, one cannot access or manage their account online. I've run my business for 10 years using Bank of the West and cannot agree to the demand but think I should have choice as to what types of communications I receive and through what media. As a result, I have not been able to access or manage my business account for 5 days now, with no end in sight. The president of the company declined to respond, but literally just passed the buck. An anonymous associate let me know I'd hear from back within within 5 weeks.... My business has been blindsided and fiscally hamstrung. This is my livelihood, and I am stressed beyond belief.

Much better now, you can pull into the yellow zone and make an ATM transaction without too much hassle.

I've been a Bank of the West customer for over twenty years. They recently changed their fee structure to charge a monthly fee to my previously free monthly checking. When I called to ask for a waiver, I got zippo. No consideration for over 20 years of banking. Thought I was had a small-bank relationship but clearly nothing other than a big, impersonal bank.

I've held accounts at three other major banks before becoming a Bank of the West customer. I've never had any difficulties--only good, careful service, most recently from Jasmine in the Walnut Creek branch. Now I hardly ever go there because of the horrible parking limitations. It was a poor choice to move to this spot on N. California Blvd., although I suppose it was driven by costs of doing business.

I went to this new location today with a banking problem and received the best customer service I've ever had. Jasmine made us feel welcome, like valued customers and like she wanted our business. She was so nice to my two year old and treated both of us like family and with respect. I've never had customer service like this at any other bank before. Even at credit unions. Thank you for fixing my problem and being so kind to us. We will be banking here from now on!

Had a vehicle loan with them. Had a difficult time getting a pay off quote and then they took days to record the payoff once the funds were received. No way to reach a person except through a maze of menus, and when you do reach someone, they tell you to call back. I asked for someone to call me when it closed so I could turn the car over to the buyer, but they can't do that. You just have to keep calling and working your way through their menus that have no option to speak with a person. Worst customer service ever. I will stick with my credit union in the future.

The Walnut Creek branch was my "home" bank for many years until they moved. Now parking is the biggest problem. It's more luck than customer convenience to find a parking spot in their few dedicated spots or in the next-door garage. Just a quick trip to the "bank" is gone for me. Hopefully they'll sustain with the walking customers. The branch personnel are good. - Using Lafayette and Concord now....
