Civic Park has a clean, well kept city park with a large grass area and a manicured playground. The playground has big and fun for children 2-5 year old and 5-12 year old ages and also has a rock climbing area, a dog park on the other side of the parking lot and a hide and seek area. Tons shade and nice seating available for parents and seniors, and many moms with strollers attend the play area. The park has close to good restaurants, a library, shops, walking areas and a community center with senior programs. It has a gazebo, picnic area, trail connections, ice rink in winter and parking available. The park has open dawn to dusk and wonderful for families.

This park is very cute and the playground is large and fun for children. It is also well-shaded which is nice since walnut creek can get quite hot some days. It is also very close to many good restaurants and a nice library.
