I've been a member at this gym for close to 2 years now and I have nothing but positive things to say.The bathrooms are clean and spacious, the dry and wet saunas are clean. There's a wide variety of machines and 5 Olympic platforms. I never have to wait too long for anything and the patrons here are NICE and friendly. The main guy who cleans crunch is carrying the whole business. He is incredible! Always doing a fantastic job and cleaning equipment in ways most people don't. He is very friendly and seems to take his job seriously.

Special shout-out to Gio who is extremely kind, competent, and has has fine-tuned social skills. I noticed him having to bevy constant inquiries and complaints from customers based on shady managerial policies (free 3 day trial advertised online is not actually realized unless a manager is there). The place is clean and well-stocked.

I have mentioned to management that it would be very helpful to have a board near the entry showcasing:1. pictures of the private trainers and specialties/credentials/years of experience 2. pictures of the fitness instructors and what classes they lead

This gym is very nice (if you have a “corporate membership”) I pay for the membership that tells me I’m allowed to work out at ANY crunch fitness but when I came in, they had told me that my membership was valid at only “FRANCHISED” crunches. What was funny was the first time I came in I scanned and they let me in no problems and no questions asked. Then I came 2 days later for them to tell me my membership was not valid.

Happy to be a member here. IMO the best gym is the one you will actually go to and this one is local for me, convenient, and has a supportive atmosphere and a nice array of equipment. A big part of that atmosphere is the trainer Pamela who I highly recommend. I have been working with Pamela for several months now and with her guidance, tailord-program, motivation and support I am making some gains and working towards my goals for the first time in so long. I owe a lot to her.

Rudest members ever experienced in a gym! I have been in gyms since I was in my early twenties. This gym has the most arrogant and obnoxious people working out at this location. It may be the area- east bay- but it makes for an uncomfortable environment! The location is close to my house, which is convenient, but I've experienced being harassed by a member, dealt w members hoarding equipment, reading emails and texting for extended periods of time, not working out on the piece of equipment they have used as a personal seat, encountered a woman keeping an ab ball - which the gym has very few, while she was not using it- keeping it next to her while she worked out on the cardio equipment (45 minutes). That way no one else could use it- and she didn't have to share it or wait her turn to use it. Had a rude guy come up to me and try to tell me how to workout- then insult me, as he was unskilled, not a trainer and doing things that were unconventional and momentum based rather than using his muscles. No thanks buddy! And then having to navigate around a lunch time class being held in the middle of the gym- not in a group activity room- with rude members barking at people trying to get from one part of the gym to the other- while they spill out of the designated area (the TRX floor) making it difficult to get to equipment- ab balls, rollers, stretching bands, etc. and get through the obstacle course they create, as well as an instructor yelling orders to the class - not a great environment for a stress free, enjoyable workout. Everyone pays their dues- why should one group have priority over other people? Not a good look Crunch members! The staff is nice, the gym is clean- women's bathroom/ locker room gets messy, pee on seats and floor, unflushed toilets w waste in them- sinks get filthy w hair, soap scum and water everywhere- because obviously snobby women w money think they should have others pick up after them, however the cleaning staff is outstanding. They work hard to accommodate these filthy women. Can't speak for the guys' locker room. Crunch has a quote on the wall about a non judgmental, friendly environment-. But the membership does not allow that to be the case. Sadly there probably is nothing that staff can do- guess you put up w rude, self centered people or go somewhere else. I've been a member since pre- sales and have noticed in the past few years the membership is just getting worse and there are more rude, entitled people who go there.- it is too bad the place is such an unfriendly, unwelcoming gym full of snotty people who stand around thinking they are better than others and drinking their "calorie loaded lattes" from Starbucks.

I love going to Crunch. I have been a member since January and I come here 6 days a week. All the staff are very friendly and nice. The janitors work so hard to keep the facility clean and take their role very seriously. Hands down great atmosphere! Most of all I enjoy coming in and seeing Gio's friendly, smiling face. He is always so nice to every member that walks through the door. He is so quick to help and is very patient to all the members that come in with questions and is so understanding with them whenever there is any discrepancies. He is a great employee and I always enjoy seeing him when I come in.

I joined Crunch 2 months ago. I wish I had joined them back with they originally opened- but at least I'm here now. Everyone, both members and crew, are very welcoming and encouraging. They have the most amazing classes here. Bungee, anti- gravity yoga, red light pole dancing, TRX, Myobility, just to name a few of my favorites The instructors here are amazing, great energy. The gym is very clean, modern. Plenty of parking upstairs Great wet and dry saunas in the locker rooms to relax in after classes. Plus, they aren't pushy about joining. They offer a 3 day guest pass to try it out and see if the gym is a good fit for youIf you like spin, they have a ton of classes, if there isn't a class going when you are there, you can take a virtual classLove the crunch app- easy to book classes, and check updates on class schedules

I had a great experience with the trainer Emma but other then that. Nothing good to say.I feel scammed by the front desk guys who helped sign me up. I was very specific about needing to know exactly what I was going to be looking at price wise due to being a disabled single mom.I was told $125 ALL TOGETHER A MONTH for both my son and I so I decided I could make that work and trusted I was being given the prices properly. But now for two month in a row I have been charged the $125 and then two weeks later charged another $89 that was not communicated to me AT ALL! Both times I was not prepared for this to happen so it has overdrawn my account. The first time it happened I called figuring it was a mistake but then I get told it's some extra fee I was not told about before that happens once a year.... so I let it go and stayed with the gym but now the same charge is happening again! And if it is some reocurring charge or whatever, then why wasn't that explained to me the first round last month when this charge happened!? Instead now I feel lied to and this gym has now gotten over $3000 out of me, and cares this little to help educate me properly on their prices. I am done.So I am STILL waiting on a response to have my account canceled because rather then being able to walk in and cancel your membership, you have to email some person and hope they respond because apparently that's the only way your trapped self can get out of this membership. Horrible communication! Do not recommend.

Loving Crunch Fitness Walnut Creek! Such a helpful welcome from the General Manager, Mike...and such an awesome Bungee Class from the amazing Midori! This is the only bungee class I could find in the entire Bay. So worth the trip, and with all else this beautiful gym offers, so worth the membership. Excited to be here!

My review is solely on the manner in which my girlfriend was "kicked out" of Crunch Walnut Creek, not on my personal experience with this facility or its staff. To preface, my girlfriend and I have been loyal members of Crunch Walnut Creek for almost as long as they have been open. We attended 5 days a week and many of the staff know me by name or face. We purchased a house in a new area which prompted the cancelation of our membership. Two weeks before the end of our membership, my girlfriend accidentally walks out of the facility with a towel, a common accident that I (and countless others) have fallen subject to. She is chased out of the gym and to her car by another member screaming and accusing her of stealing. My GF hands the towels to the member who takes them inside. Later that day, my GF receives an email from Sarah Cabral stating that, "security cameras and eyewitnesses" caught her trying to steal towels and as a result, her membership is canceled effective immediately.Confused, she sent a polite email requesting additional information and a hope to discuss what she was being accused of in hopes to remediate the misunderstanding. The response from Crunch was an unsympathetic, "no" to more information and ignoring our request to hear our side. I spoke w/ Mike, the GM, asking him for more information. He said that he vaguely heard about someone being accused of "stealing 4 towels" from the locker room, but since he didn't cancel the membership (Sarah did), he couldn't do anything until he spoke to Sarah. How come Sarah gets to tell her side of the situation but my girlfriend doesn't? It appeared to me that Mike agreed the situation sounded funny knowing me and my gf and our tenure with this gym. However, I didn't get a chance to hear back from Mike or Sarah as we officially moved. If we ever move back to Walnut Creek, we will not be giving our business to Crunch Walnut Creek or recommending it as a gym until this slander is cleared and a proper apology is provided.

I was considering coming here and moving gyms, but was treated very poorly by a sales manager. My friend who was getting me in as a guest had tried signing me in and the sales manager was condescending and rude. He turned away my potential business just by his offputting energy. If I was Crunch corporate I’d reconsider who you have in sales because he’s losing you business.

Crunch in Walnut Creek is a great place to workout. I have been working with a trainer named Amir for about 6 month and have highly enjoyed it. Amir is very educated and has an amazing work ethic. I have seen the most results when working with him and would definitely recommend you train with him.
