I had decided to try out kick house after seeing they had a discounted plan on active & fit and have been going for about 4 months now. The coaches are all really good and have their own special way of teaching (Coach Jackie and Robbie are my favorite) but all of them are friendly, encouraging, and informative. When signing up manager Alexa was really good at introducing me to kickboxing for the first time. She also helped me figure out the best plan that suited my time and budget. The classmates are all very genuine and supportive. The staff maintain the studio very well by cleaning all equipment and floors after every class. From consistently going I have definitely noticed results and feel a lot stronger overall. Each class builds up to a tough but fun workout.

The people here have become my second family. The instructors are all amazing. They know everyone by name, they are excellent at describing every move and the mechanics behind the various punches and kicks. You are FULLY able to go at your own pace, you have your own bag the whole class and everyone is fully focussed on their own bag, there is no competitiveness or reason to feel self conscious. I have been going for over a year now and enjoy the variety offered in every class and the different types of classes. It is easy to schedule classes and to cancel (within the cancellation window). Love love love Kickhouse! It got me out of my year's long workout rut (no other class motivated me enough to go) after having kids and now I try to go as often as my schedule will allow.

Just moved to the area. And was looking for a new gym. I came across kickhouse and decided to give it a try. Fist time ever doing this. Coach Todd was great and worked with me on technique. Coach Mike as well have been great and has helped me a lot with my stands. I love how everyone makes you feel welcome. Highly recommend KickHouse!

It's my first time to join gym workout and membership. I was hesitant because I'm not confident and comfortable but KickhouseWalnutCreek changed my impression of gyms and coaches. I always feel the positive vibe when I walk in the studio. I look forward to each coach's class since each of them got something different to offer.

I go to Kickhouse in Walnut Creek and absolutely love all the coaches and classes. They all make it such a fun and positive experience! Even when they abs workouts are killer the coaches still make it fun and help you to push through the pain. Since January I've really felt my body changing and getting stronger and Coach Alexa has been awesome to talk to about how much protein I should be eating and love personal training sessions with her.

I would recommend considering Kickhouse Gym if you're in search of a fitness facility that specializes in Cardio Training and provides an outlet for expressing your emotions through kickboxing and hitting. Additionally, if you value a strong sense of belonging to a gym community and enjoy working out to a diverse selection of music, this gym might be an excellent fit for you.One standout feature of Kickhouse Gym is their consistent coaching staff. With a team that has been in place for an extended period, you can expect a warm and family-like atmosphere. The coaches are familiar with your individual fitness journey, which enables them to offer tailored motivation and guidance.Kickhouse Gym offers a variety of standard classes, and they also provide monthly workshops for an additional fee. Recently, they've introduced a resistance training class, expanding their offerings to cater to various fitness preferences. In terms of location and convenience, Kickhouse Gym is situated near two parking garages and offers street parking, making it relatively hassle-free to find parking. Moreover, it's conveniently located near a Starbucks, close to the BART station, and easily accessible from the freeway. What I've personally appreciated about Kickhouse Gym is the friendly and welcoming demeanor of both the staff and fellow members. The workouts are not only fun but also challenging, and they provide heart rate monitors to help you track and achieve your fitness goals.Considering the pricing, Kickhouse Gym's monthly membership for unlimited classes is competitive with similar-sized gyms in its unique genre, such as Orange Theory. From my experience, I feel that I'm receiving excellent value for the membership fee.As someone who genuinely enjoys their experience at Kickhouse Gym, I'm optimistic about its future growth. I hope to see it expand into a larger space with more classes, coaches, and members, further enhancing the community and fitness opportunities it offers.

2nd Update:My 2nd Spartan Race of 2022 was 6 minutes faster than my first ever Spartan Race of 2018. Crushed it on a rainy, misty, wet, cold day! Probably, my finish time would have been much faster if it was the same beautiful and sunny weather of the 2018 Race. Both races the workouts at the kickboxing studio were my only training and prep, and that's all I needed.I’ve never had such boundless energy as I do after each class in my life before. I’ve much more stamina, endurance, energy, and better conditioning than in my younger athletic years. No way I’d be where I am in terms of health, confidence, and overall self-esteem if not for all of you. Love you all and thank you so much for being an integral part of this wellness journey!! "Let's Kick It!"3rd Update:I recommend all to do the Self-defense workshop classes that's currently on once a month on a Saturday. It is fast paced, always learn something new, fun sparring with a member or coach in how to get out of holds, quick strike and flee. 1 hour that can stretch to 90 minutes or longer without any of us sensing that this is going on too long. Also, recommend doing private session training with your favorite coaches. Training with shin guards, striking, defending that includes when you're backed into the wall or corner, and countering greatly helps in your personal development, confidence, and fun with thinking multiple moves ahead like in a chess game.Shout out to coach Robbie for his boundless energy, knowledge, and enthusiasm. He's always available before or after classes with help in correcting, to learn something new, or to perfect what you know. Members that love his classes should do private session trainings with him. I did and hope to do more!Nearing 1700 classes overall at this studio and will reach 2000 classes in 2024 is a great testament to the coaches, the format of classes, the clean studio, and the wonderful members that you don't get tired of these workouts, that in my case is over 5 years and counting. Thank you!

Updated October 2023: Going on two years with Kickhouse - and I've expanded my repertoire to include Recovery Kick (Kb + yoga conditioning) and Kicking Abs (much needed abs workout) to balance out the kickboxing I do almost every day! I can't say enough about this studio - the coaches, the programming, and the culture are top notch. You should come in and check out a class!Updated review 3/24/2022 - I joined just about 3 months ago and went from 0-60 right away. A long time couch potato, my cholesterol was testing high, and diet wasn't doing it. I decided it was time to get off my lazy butt and exercise - but regular exercise is boring to me. I kept seeing this ad on Facebook for Kickhouse, and decided to give it a shot. My motivation was to lower my cholesterol, but I found that the kickboxing workout was a great stress reliever too! Now I'm going 6 days a week and twice a day on weekends!. I just had my physical, and my bloodwork came back - still elevated - but - my Dr. was excited that my cholesterol had gone down FORTY points since 6 months ago! "Keep up the good work!"All the coaches are great - they really bring out the best in you.Thank you KickHouse!---------Jackie G is the best! She keeps the energy going and no matter how full the class is she makes sure to get to everyone and check form and motivate them to keep going! Love KickHouse!

This is by FAR is one of the WORST membership club-based gym experiences I have been a part of. It gives off toxic masculinity energy which is odd because they pride themselves on "Women Owned"! I signed up for the "6-week challenge" they were promoting on social media, and honestly, there was zero accountability/check-in that they "pride themselves on giving to clients". You had to go 3x a week for 6 weeks while promoting them on social media and other weird requirements in order to get a "full refund" after the 6 weeks. Honestly, the contract in bold should have just said RED FLAG! I truly gave it my all up until week 3 when heavy marijuana smoke was filling the building, this happened on MULTIPLE occasions. I ultimately ended up leaving one of the classes because it was SO BAD, it was like someone SMOKED IN THE BUILDING. Per city code in Walnut Creek, it's illegal to smoke outside, considering this happened on multiple occasions. They acknowledge they were aware of this issue but did nothing to correct or stop it from happening. Multiple members ended up complaining the same day I left. I personally tried to reach out to the owner of the business but was forced to only speak with ALEXA SEE, who is apparently the head coach/manager but she never identified herself as so. I left a message on Instagram for the owner Todd Guilliams and sent an email to the GENERAL EMAIL where of course I never heard back. I sent it on Tuesday 10/24 at 12:30. EXPECT NOTHING FROM THIS BUSINESS, AND THEIR SHITTY BUSINESS PRACTICES. HOW THEY TREAT THEIR MEMBERS IS A SHEER REFLECTION OF POOR MANAGEMENT AND OWNERSHIP OF WHY THEIR MEMBERS ARE UNHAPPY.

Kickhouse always has such fun different monthly challenges or events to help members stay motivated. The accountability calendar's, bingo, and personal goal challenges have been my favorite and what really helped me get motivated to where I've started doing roughly 3 classes a day on my days off. The upcoming Hocus Pocus movie night is gonna be a lot of fun!

Clean facility, friendly staff, friendly members, and a thorough cardio workout = 5 stars. I am always super intimidated trying a new workout class but everyone is quite nice. The app is easy to use and they are responsive whenever I text them asking questions.
