Meals on Wheels Diablo Region has been improving the lives of vulnerable seniors in Contra Costa County for over 50 years. The organization delivers nutritious meals and provides a range of wrap-around services, including exercise classes, fall prevention programs, social interaction, home safety modifications, and elder abuse prevention. Meals on Wheels Diablo Region is the only provider of Meals on Wheels services in Central and East Contra Costa County. Clients have praised the organization's dedication, professionalism, and genuine care for the seniors they serve. One recent participant had a very positive experience with the Fall Prevention Program, receiving an informative presentation and excellent in-home evaluation, as well as a safe installation by courteous and professional staff. Another client described Meals on Wheels Diablo Region as a "lifesaver" during a period of illness when they were unable to leave the house to purchase food.
