I hate walking into a bank. Never had a pleasant experience until I started going to bofA of North Main st in Walnut Creek. The staff and the bank manager Asal were very knowledgeable and was able to solve my issue right away without having to wait. Highly recommend this branch.

Employees standing around or in their offices. A Line out the door, 4 teller stands 1 teller. Get the picture? If your busy choose another bank.

The worst bank! Asked me for my ID and refused my international ID as that was the only one, I had on me. They should have for a domestic ID to begin with. I wonder how busy the employees are, they never seem to answer their phone call no matter what time you call.

You can't get a hold of a live person if your life depended on it. I need to access my safe deposit box for my passports and can't get anyone to help me. Absolutely unacceptable. It's like they're holding my passports hostage!

Yesterday I had a very challenging day with Bank of America until I landed at the Walnut Creek location. I'd gone to Lafayette to conduct a wire transfer and was instructed that I could not be assisted without an appointment. I went home, tried to schedule an appointment at all Bank of America locations between Berkeley and Fairfield and was instructed that all locations no longer accept appointments. Decided to walk in at WC. Initially I was met with resistance as I didn't have an appointment but when I explained what had happened, Jennifer went above and beyond to help me out due to my tight timeline. She really saved the day. Further, she went on to identify a banker, Lili, who did not need to meet with me but graciously took me in to help me. Without these two women, we would have had to delay closing on a property. Kudos to Lili and Jennifer for their customer obsession.

The bank teller lady was very rude to me. BoA did not want to deposit my international check. I even asked to speak with the manager and they all made excuses on why they couldn't deposit my check. I went to Chase that afternoon and they deposited it with no questions asked...

Don't ever try to contact a human here by phone - the phone seemingly is rarely answered, then the recorded message hangs up. Great service - avoid the customer at all costs!!

I have been a longtime Bank of America customer and often defend B of A when others criticize but, today, since I could not talk directly to the manager, I will post this review. I arrived at the ATM at 8:15am this morning. The ATM was not able to respond to my touch and I could not cancel the transaction in order to retrieve my card. Eventually, an employee past by on his way into the bank and told me it was not working and to wait until it "timed out". I did so and retrieved my card. The other ATM's were also not working. I returned to the bank mid day with 12 checks to cash. I was told, I could only cash 10. I asked if she could get an override from the manager. She went into the back and I was told "no". I have preferred status at the bank due to # of accounts/balances but I could not cash two extra checks totaling $500. The teller was indifferent, not apologetic and could not offer an explanation for this new rule. I asked to speak directly to the manager and I was told she was on her lunch hour within the bank and I would have to wait an hour to speak to her. I attempted to call the branch a few times and was put through a circle of options and finally gave up. Bank of America is sending a clear message to those who bank with them, that their priority is now loans/investments. They have done everything they can to discourage us from using banking services. I will be calling the locally owned banks and transferring a substantial amount of money out of their bank. The manager (Asal) is new to the branch as of Monday and has definitely provided very very poor customer service today. Perhaps the area manager might want to inform their tellers more thoroughly so they can answer questions regarding policies and encourage their managers to speak directly with a long time customer in the future.
