I am very disappointed with my experience at Umpqua Bank, particularly with the management under Susan Vargas. There have been multiple issues, including questionable handling of employee commissions and the requirement for employees to use personal funds to cover till shortages, with one instance exceeding $1,000. Additionally, there have been concerns about the work environment, including unprofessional behavior, misleading job descriptions, and unfair treatment of employees.
These practices have raised significant concerns about the bank’s integrity and operational standards.
I would advise potential clients and employees to thoroughly research and consider these points before engaging with Umpqua Bank.

raised my mortgage without letting me know each year, on hold for over an hour whenever you need any help, shady agents that tell you what you want to hear, nothing but drama. Beware.

I came there to deposit $ for my employer. Honestly, that lady with blonde hair at the front desk was extremely rude. I forgot to ask for her name. And this is not the first time she was rude to me and my manager. The way she did told me that she hates her job so much. If I didnt have to get there bc of my employer business, I would never do business with this bank. Please bring someone who knows how to treat customes professionally to the front desk.

Worst bank ever to do business with. Since the merger with Columbia bank, Umpqua has become the bank of frauds, thieves and criminals. Stay away if you don't wanna lose all your balance and savings.Got a prank call indicating that my bank card has been illegally charged for $59.00. I quickly logged-in to my account while on the call and could not see the charge. They stressed they could see it on their side. Few days later, $13k disappeared from my accounts. Don't do business with these people, they are bad people since the merger with Columbia bank merger. Stay away. To be honest, there shouldn't be a star at all for this bank.Added on 09/06/2023To the Anonymous responder below:I did try to call. Maybe I have been talking to the wrong people, the new crew from Columbia bank. I will try to call again. But why don't you identify yourself or leave your contact info for me to reach out to you directly and we can take it from there.

I had the wrong location I apologize. This location is awesome. Always nice and great service. I go here instead of the other one. They've done great during COVID even! Can't beat it!

A little hole in walnut creek...massive turnover of staff. One window with very archaic paper pushing old banking rituals. It should be closed. I am moving to a better bank. I wasted so much time with this schlocky outfit.

Excellent service I had today after very frustrating and poor service at other locations. My problem was understood and both Alvin and the other gentleman were very helpful and courteous.

I gave 2 stars because of several reasons, one is that the online banking passwords repeatedly give me issues. I have 4 resets because of their crappy system to passwords I can't even remember because of the complex security requirements. It's outrageous to have to change your password for failing the 2 factor authentication.
Also, on my account I constantly see random noname transactions which I have an issue with.
I gave them 2 stars and not one because their staff in rocklin and especially in fairfield especially nice and have great customer service.
