We expect that the bakery has the boxes ready and that we will not wait for them for 10 minutes. This store is expensive and a great service is needed.

I've been shopping here since they opened over 20 years ago but over the years this place has declined so bad. Since Amazon bought it the quality and assortment of produce has declined dramaticcally, but for now unfortunately they are still one of the better options for certain produce and meat items. Even though I live very close to this I'm now shopping at the ygnacio location. Luckily they opened self check about a year ago here but before that it was literally awful. Long lines, no service, hard to get in and out of parking lot. I recently went to return some Amazon items and this store just couldn't deal with it. They were unorganized, unhelpful and just annoyed having to deal with the returns. I'm sticking with the ygnacio store, easy parking, self check, larger more roomy well stocked store, easy Amazon returns.

Horrible customer service, the store opens at 8am, no one opens the doors, this is my 4th time waiting for the hot bar breakfast and it's not out and ready, I ask 2 people and they said 15mins. Went over to customer service 3 employees they brushed me off and said if it's not out yet they are just running behind. So I left and went to sunrise.. I won't be back, and I will share this experience with everyone in Walnut Creek and beyond thank you for the respect of a customers time.

Went to Whole Foods for the first time recently, I probably need to go a few more times before making a decision to shop here all the time. First impression, produce was fresh. Only negative was that they don't have all the brand names I take for granted.

I'm giving two stars for management & security, which is basically nonexistent. I've seen shoplifting several times, and they are basically powerless. The store does have a kind butcher, fish, and the make-a-burrito team. They do a great job, and they get five stars. The other huge issue I'd love to see addressed (besides the shoplifting problem) is allowing non-service animals in the store. It is plain ridiculous. While Foods Corporate: if you're reading this, PLEASE empower your employees to tell individuals that pets are not allowed. Period. Unsanitary and a nuisance to other shoppers.

The quality of produce from Whole Foods has declined significantly since Amazon has taken over. The service and the employees at this location are terrible. Much of the produce (fruits) purchased, are often moldy inside or bad when you get home and inspect them. They make returns and reimbursements for defective food difficult. Be warned, if you cut into a cucumber or mango when you get home & it's bad...do not toss it. Do not take photos. Bring that item back to the store with your receipt immediately because they don't believe you. Go to Trader Joe's ... the vibe and ethics are way better. Not to mention their bakery! Ugh, ready made items are fine. Don't ask for help with writing a name on the cake. Don't try to order anything, no one knows how to help.

First, I will say that I have cancer and am doing chemotherapy so my immune system is down and I wear a mask to avoid germs and a beanie to hide my recent hair loss. I decided to use self checkout. They were particularly up in my business and suggesting I use the hand scanner gun... not sure but ok. Then an employee walks by and accuses me of not scanning an item. I am very diligent about using self checkout and scan everything. I think I am saving Whole Foods and Amazon from paying employee benefits and doing the work for them actually and really felt harassed. Theres a little camera recording me and showing me the recording which is ok but to have someone accuse me while I'm doing their work for them, spending $200 at Whole Foods at premium prices etc. So this is strange but the person who accused me of seeing me shall had one eye that seemed like she may have a disability. With all due respect to people with disabilities, I think if Amazon is going to put someone in charge of lurking behind customers and accusing them of not scanning items ....putting aside that this is not a good idea...I think a requirement for that job would be 15/20 eagle eye perfect visual acuity so maybe not the best role for a person with visual impairment. Anyway, I felt profiled and harassed. I feel like maybe this Whole Foods has an issue with theft but being harassed and wrongly accused in a public space is a really bad experience at a high priced premium grocery store. I'm just going to Sprouts from now on.

Had expired products on shelves today. They didn't clean out their dairy stock and screwed me over physically due to consuming the expired product. Customer services was useless. Thanks for the 4 dollar refund, getting me sick, and my lost wages for the day since I have food poisoning. If I could zero stars I would. Very nonchalant and dismissive behavior for causing your customers food poisoning.. Do better.

I give Whole Foods Amazon on Newell Ave in Walnut Creek one star now for two reasons. First, have increased the number of self checkouts, decreased the number of checkers and eliminated the express checkouts. At the same time they have eliminated baggers. In some stores the checkers do not bag at all. All of this has increased the amount of time it takes shoppers to get out of the store. Have you ever watched how long it takes shoppers with carts filled with groceries to get through self check lines?Second, I cannot even shop at this story between 3:00- 4:00 because parents waiting to pick up high schoolers have taken over the whole lot! Shame on them. It’s a DANGEROUS situation.

Huge selection of food, frozen, fresh, hygienic needs and a full self service lunch bar and a pizza corner that sells by the slice. It was nice finding everything in one shop.

A few scattered thoughts in case they help someone down the road.Pros:Their bakery bread actually tastes real, unlike Safeways bakery. Bread was 5x the quality. The store is on a bike trail, so we go by bike!Con:The prices!

Let's start with the negative. Whole foods is very expensive. Moved from Los Angeles up here and it's more expensive than LA. Everything else is positive. The variety is great. They have brands that is only at whole foods. The meat is good as well. The service is always great. Easy to find someone for help. The place is clean and comfortable including parking.

Whole Foods Market is a top-notch shopping experience. The variety of fresh, organic items, along with helpful staff and a commitment to sustainability, makes it a go-to for quality groceries. I'm particularly happy with the self-checkout option that saved me a lot of time; previously, I used to spend a significant amount of time waiting in the queue.
